According to Wikipedia, the coast line has expanded a great deal around Thermopylae over the past 2500 years. "The land is dominated by the coastal floodplain of the Spercheios river and is surrounded by sloping forested limestone mountains. There is continuous deposition of sediment from the river and travertine deposits from the hot springs which has substantially altered the landscape during the past few thousand years. The land surface on which the famous Battle of Thermopylae was fought in 480 BC is now buried under 20 metres (66 ft) of soil. The shoreline has also advanced over the centuries because of the sedimentary deposition. The level of the Malian Gulf was also significantly higher during prehistoric times, and the Spercheios River was significantly shorter. Its shoreline advanced by up to 2 kilometers between 2500 BC and 480 BC but has still left several narrow passages between the sea and the mountains. The narrowest point on the plain, where the battle was probably fought, would have been less than 100 metres (330 ft) wide. Between 480 BC and the 21st century, the shoreline advanced by as much as 9 km (5.6 mi) in places, eliminating the narrowest points of the pass and considerably increasing the size of the plain around the outlet of the Spercheios."

Imagine Full FIELDED Groups LARPING in Roman Times With ARMOUR That Lit Up when Hit with a "LETHAL" Blow. Arrows 🏹 n Spears would be FLAT tipped but when Thrusted Against the Shield 🛡 n Armor Activates The LEVEL which the Damage would Have Created. If the "Wound" would have been superficial then the armor Turns yellow if not the armor Lights Up red to disqualify the Player. Swords n other weopons would be calibrated the same way in terms of reacting to the armor...
There isn’t a major recorded battle where Athens and Sparta, fighting as allies, were decisively defeated together after or before the Persian Wars. Their most famous collaborations, particularly during the Greco-Persian Wars, were mostly victorious in the long run, though with some setbacks like Thermopylae (where the Spartans were the key players and the Athenians did not participate directly).

Battle is not going well, Athenians on the hills trying to def enemy cav, others getting pushed back . Persians trying to flank the Spartans. Boss music kicks in. Spartans charge forward breaking Persian lines. Justin Bieber music kicks in. Persians terrified abandon their campaign...
Hellas forever.
Lol they got owned by Persia and Rome later on
@@Techtalk2030 Listen, the Greek people still have a history to be proud of, as some of their greatest empires were born between the end of the 4th century B.C.E. and 1st century B.C.E.. and more importantly they still contributed to many fields of learning. Even though they later become subjects to the Romans and later the Turks they never truly lost their identity.
Edit: This is coming from an Iranian, our rivalry is ancient history.
Persians,Romans and Turkish province 😅
@@Techtalk2030Rome? We took it over. Persia? We trembled them under foot.
@@NP3GA Rome conquered greece and yotally colonized it. Byzantines didnt even call themselves greek but Roman
This is more mythical than historical
You can be proud of your iranian heritage without shitting on that of others.
hell yeah
The Persian army was sooo weak that they couldn't even defeat a Greek army in disarray. Kudos to the Greeks that once again they helped save Europe and its civilisation.
omg man this is extreme stupid coment.... "europe" not exist in this time and Achameinid empire was more civilized then greece :D you dont know nothing....:) And weak? :D haha funny..... they wins many battles...... and in this battle have greece horrible looses....
No such thing as “European civilization”. Your ancestors had no culture or cities while this was going on. If you got dropped into antiquity between a Greek and a Persian they’d have a bidding war on who would get to own you as you’re a barbarian.
Comics are for children.
For Example if Someone thrusted a Spear thru the Shields Tapping the Armor of the enemy it would Light up DEPENDING on The Impact n Pressure. If the "Wound" would have been superficial then the armor Turns yellow if not the armor Lights Up red to disqualify the Player. Swords n other weopons would be calibrated the same way in terms of reacting to the armor...

Darn it!
Leonidas has been avenged!
You should totally re-record this after your balls drop. A deeper, more manly voice will take this to the next level.
