OMG, this could be my "absolute all-time favorite"!!! Cold Brew, Kahlua, Vodka, Bailey´s ... *I´m in Heaven!* 🤤❤☕🥃And i liked the 1971 "Original Version" of Shaft better than the "Modern Versions". I dunno, i´m just a sucker for old movies/classic movies! 😜
Oh so originally from Alberta.... Lotsof people say its from Victoria BC. Either way everyone loves it and everyone has slight variations of it. Good stuff!
Awesome video as usual!!! I'll try to make this weekend in the 35+ heat. The original SHAFT is the best and the sound track is fantastic. Issac Hayes, really rocked it.
@@boozeontherocks yes! Let's do it. Coffee and liquor are so good together. PS: you should personally try a Fireball Sour. Make per usual recipe and replace whiskey with Fireball. Very tasty. 🔥 Try that as a Viewer's Choice Cocktail segment since you put out 3 videos a week. 😃😃😃
I’m from Victoria, head down to Belleville’s watering hole on Belleville street, they have a wide selection of shafts to choose from, Graham or Henk will be happy to serve you, tell ‘em Booze On The Rocks sent you.
Roundtree was also in the second Jackson Shaft movie as the original shaft. (Jackson's pop) - That one was my favorite. To stay on topic, I prefer the White Russian myself. (I make it with 2oz Vodka, 1oz Kahlua and 2oz cream. If I want to kick the octane up slightly, I will use Bailey's instead of whipping cream, but still 2oz) Cheers!
I was just watching an old Philip Marlowe detective movie “The Long Goodbye”, 1970s, and the main character, Marlowe, joked that the neighbor could make him a Yankee Doodle (cocktail) when she offered to make him brownies. I’ve never had one but the recipe seems to be old and there seems to be several different versions. One with banana liqueur & chocolate liqueur and gin- which the writer might have been referring to?? Because it had chocolate like the brownie?? others have vodka and fruit juice etc and are red, clear and blue. You could make an episode on these drinks.
Hi David, greetings from the Isle of Man (UK Islands)...I prefer the original Shaft movie......fun fact though Richard Rowndtree played John Shaft Snr (Shafts Dad) in the 2019 Shaft film........ Keep uploading those cocktails matey :O)
The White Russian was my mothers favorite cocktail…. I should make this for her next time she comes over…. She only has one drink when she drinks, so I feel this would take her back…. Also, Richard roundtree all the way!
Coffee, vodka, kahlua and Bailey's... What a great combo. Happy hump week.
Same to you Ulgarth!

Original Shaft. It’s the music! Epic

You should try making cocktail with some grape juice
Thank you for the idea. Lets see what I can do.
Shaft in Africa was...unique. lol. Still a fun time, as I'm sure this cocktail is. Cheers, David!
Hey Vino, that it is :)
Dude, thanks for doing the movie tie-in concept again! Also, isn't this known as a Mudslide??
Thank you very much. I looked up the mudslide recipe and it is very close. DO you want me to make one?

The White Russian was my mothers favorite cocktail…. I should make this for her next time she comes over…. She only has one drink when she drinks, so I feel this would take her back…. Also, Richard roundtree all the way!
Fantastic. Make it for her and let me know what she thinks.
creamy boozy cold brew coffee? yes please!
This is definitely one you would like.
My mother wouldn’t let me watch the Shaft tv series in the 70s because of the opening theme song where they almost call him a mofo. LOL I was 8.
I can see why :)
After trying 5 Farms Irish Cream last Christmas I can't do Bailey's any more.
You make a great point. This will work with what ever your favorite Irish Cream is.
shaft
Awesome!!!
I know this by a different name: Espresso Martini.
Just replace that cold brew with a Espresso.
Your right, there is a version of that that is really close.
