The results are in! Watch till the end of the vlog!
So glad you guys are feeling better and that you tests came back negative
The Frey Life thanks for that update!! I was anxious about having to wait a couple more days to hear the results. Sooo glad you guys are both feeling better! ❤️
Mary and Peter... You are both looking and sounding better, especially towards the end. Clearly your bodies needed the rest - even though it's not the best way. Being aware of the current situation is what I'm doing as advice changes all the time. Waving from the UK 👋

📽️🤒🌡️🛌💤🏥💉📞🎉🎉🐱🐾👋
SO GLAD to hear its negative!!!
More good news, the procedures I had this past Wednesday? NEGATIVE! Yahoo
Thank God!😁❤
Even if it is covid-19 the fact that you are already feeling better is great!! Because you are higher risk. I hope you continue to feel better and will be praying for you both.
Alishia Mountcastle, You must have missed the end of the vid....they confirmed that their tests came back neg for COVID 19.
@@kimbo500 thanks I did. Glad to hear that.
As sick as you both were, it just goes to show that COVID-19 is not the only nasty bug out there! I hope people DO learn a little about what you have to go through Mary! I also hope that they LEARN from what is happening in the world right now and that they are more cautious in the future about protecting themselves and others from the spread of germs!!!
Thank you! I know people don’t mean to do stupid things, but being sick and exposing the world to your germs when said world has such vulnerable bodies in it... makes me angry! My bro and his wife let their 5 y/o daughter run wild and put her fingers in food at buffets when they KNOW she’s sick! And that’s with him having been raised alongside me who has severe JRA. Why can’t people learn?
Amen to that. I caught bugs - many of them- through people not washing your hands. PEOPLE: WASH YOUR HANDS!!!!!!!!
@BethWade exactly I'm so glad they're COVID-19 free. And are getting better...
@@MayimHastings , It is baffling isn't it!? I can't make sense of it either. Your story is a perfect example. Knowing your bro was exposed to the same mindset and teaching from your parents as you; yet, still will allow such abhorrent behavior from his own child is more than frustrating. Your anger is understandable. Not that you're asking for a suggestion...but if I may give you one?! 😏 I am now chronically ill/permanently disabled. For many years my sibs did not 'get' my condition, and how it can effect myself and others. I came across a video that explained it pretty well, and shared it with all of them. It proved to to be helpful. I think my frustration led me to share the video with them, even though I honestly was quite uncomfortable (for NO GOOD REASON!!), to do so. It's one thing for me to educate educate educate my patients, colleagues, or the general public. I was uncomfortable with my own siblings! I know...it's crazy of me! Anyway, I directed my frustration in that way, and I was glad I dad. Maybe now, amidst this Pandemic...it would be a good opportunity for you to have a heart to heart with your brother and sister in law?! Maybe not....but just a thought. It would be interesting to know if they feel the COVID 19 precautions are unnecessary as well. All the best being sent your way!!!
You've got to keep your hands away from the face.
You need to cough in your arm. Your hands touched your hair, face, glasses. Now you need to shower and disinfect. Cough in your arm.
I have been seeing so many doing that lately. Frustrating when in public to grab necessities and then they touch everything.
Caroline Bailey for someone who has a disability it is not good to cough in the arm. It is safer to cough into a mask or towel or tissue or hands and then wash them. If we fall, or need assistance people need to be able to grab our arms or elbows to assist. Well if we’ve coughed into our arms now those germs have been transmitted to the person helping.
Not everyone can cough into their elbow. Depending on what illness or disability you have, coughing into your elbow can spread germs faster than your hands.
“Don’t sign my visitor log” 😂
Dont cough into your hands. Wash them instead. Take care.
Where do you suggest they cough into??
@@jessicaleejlh Elbow.
@@jessicaleejlh , Elbow, tissue, if they don't believe in having tissue in the household....a handkerchief that then gets laundered appropriately. (Yep, there actually are people who do not want to use 'unnecessary' paper products.)
jessicaleejlh shoulder
@@kacielackey3129 not ways easy to do when you have chronic illness.
mary please cough in your elbow not your hand. because you cough then touch things.
THANK GOD FOR TRIKAFTA!!!!! I can’t imagine how bad this would have been without it!
Amen!!! I can't imagine her without it
I was just going to say this! It probably would've been a guaranteed hospital stay/IV's at least.
Exactly what I was going to say!
I thought of that too!
That is the same thing I was thinking
Praise the Lord! STILL praying that you'll feel the Lord's strength, mercy, and love!
Becky Schmidt love love love this comment
Wow I’ve never seen Peter as sick as he’s been in the last week. He still looks so off. So happy to hear it’s not Covid-19 but it’s still ramping up our there. So I’m praying you will stay healthy! ♥️
My God stop coughing in your
hands !!!!! It’s driving me crazy
Sambo 2121, Being that this channel is very focused on Mary's vulnerabilities R/T cross contamination....I simply don't understand how they aren't displaying more appropriate behaviors/habits R/T other human beings who are vulnerable as well. Now that we are in the midst of a Pandemic, EVERYONE is vulnerable (public health), and most of us care whether or not someone follows through with basic precautions that we have been teaching our children for decades. It just never ceases to amaze me. Thanks for leaving your comment....
@@lissettemolina333 , This has been an ongoing issue, for quite a long time . Over a year ago, Mary was in a store, coughing openly (without covering her mouth in any way). I finally spoke out, after she made a statement that she was not contagious. She had been quite exasperated R/T the looks that she was getting when she has an active cough. She understandably had known chronic lung infections, that could be transmitted to others. Particularly children, the elderly, and the many people in our society who have a lowered immune systems. Of course I received backlash from loyal followers, after addressing this in this public forum. There was no response from Mary or Peter. So, a couple of colleagues and I (2 doctors, and I am an RN), contacted the CDC to verify that our understanding of such transmission was correct. They confirmed that we were correct, and as a public health issue...this habit or practice was (and still is) certainly a public health concern. I respect and appreciate the knowledge we all gain about how careful patients with CF have to be, to avoid contracting such infections. Unfortunately, to make an announcement that a CF patient's lung infection is not contagious to the general public in a store....is outright dangerous. If the general public's well being, is going to be ignored....and one is only looking at protecting patients with CF....that is simply being disrespectful and irresponsible. Regardless, point being....CF obviously is not contagious. The lung infections within a CF patients can absolutely be contagious to others. I don't believe that there is any intent with this bad behavior. At first I thought it was simply put down to 'bad habits'. When she made her statement re: not being contagious though....that obviously is a dangerous mindset. This is the perfect forum to educate the public re: such issues. When inaccurate statements and behaviors are shared however, we chose to speak up in the name of public health (and we appreciate your comment as well). It is OUR responsibility as medical professionals, when we see dangerous practices....we step up and try to educate. I absolutely would encourage any reader to take it upon themselves, to use the CDC, or WHO's website as a reliable resource to verify proper precautions and risks. None of these statements are to be punitive, simply made to educate everyone with accurate information, encourage people to make the effort to break bad habits, for the sake of everyone around us.
She has a condition calm down!!!
@@alyssacoles3994 Well, I don't want to speak out of turn, if you were directing your comment to someone else. Regardless.....if any one of us has 'a condition', it doesn't mean we are exempt to normal precautionary methods, out of consideration of those around us. It's what we teach our children for goodness sakes.
@@alyssacoles3994 And that means she can be inconsiderate to others?
What scares me about the corona virus is the part where it gets through your lungs and you can't breath, you feel like drowning. I know how it is because I had a near death experience and I couldn't breath. It's very scary. We have to take care of ourselves and others. ❤❤❤
I had a bad chest cold last year and even talking I got out of breath from all the coughing. It freaks me out to ever get beyond the shortness of breath from last year
I watched a video on the news earlier about an elderly lady in Italy who had gone to hospital with her husband and kids and her poor husband died from corona virus yet they sent her out to the streets barely able to breathe panicking which was just making this poor lady worse
Peter, You still look worn out. You guys need to live on the couches with your babies close. Rest and get well.
Please stop touching your face! Each of you!
Well, sorry to say, but you’re not being careful at all with all that coughing on your hand and face touching! God knows how many surfaces you’ve touched with those hands. Wether it’s Coronavirus or not, you’re not following basic hygiene rules!
So cringy, I hope she sanitized her hands before she went in to test. Imagine if she touched surfaces.
Mary never has followed basic hygiene rules, lol. This isn't a new thing. She sometimes doesn't cover her mouth at all when coughing.
This will be a terrifying reality for many people. I'm glad you're recovering though. Wonder what it was?
Hidinginyourcupboard - likely a different strain of influenza or other respiratory virus
About that visitor log...Mary and Peter - I'm so glad I can visit you by watching you vlogs, and share your experiences in a non-contagious way. I was relieved to see you both doing so much better on your trip in to the hospital. What a rough week you've had. Sending you good thoughts for continued recovery!
I’d still quarantine for your safety.
I am telling you we are 99% positive I had it. And its horrible! I had a really bad cough, sore throat, fever. And I think I also caught a cold with it because I had a runny nose. A month later and I'm finally feeling better. I hope if you do have (I hope you don't obviously) you get over it quickly!
Edit: YAY! You don't have Covid-19!! WOOHOO!!!!!
So so very sorry you guys have been so sick. Keeping you in my prayers. Love you guys Joanna. I have blood clots in my lungs so I too am staying away from everyone I’m in the guest room.
J Duggan thank you for your kind words as we continue to fight this virus!
J Duggan, Bless your heart (and lungs!!). Hoping you are getting out the guest room before you know, but I'm sure you are grateful to have a guest room to retreat to!! :)
Please stop coughing into your hands !! I love your channel and care about you and the people you come in contact to.
You know you have a chronic illness when you meet the out of pocket expense amount for your health insurance in March....
Ours is July to July. Also did Peter mean deductable? Or just co-pays?
Haha try January 2!
I believe he said deductible. That's a good question I hadn't thought of. The government said it was going to cover copays right? But do you skip the deductable for covid or not? We should all ask!
@@alaskakaren715 he said out of pocket max. And I fully believe it for Mary. I'm getting up there already myself.
@@AnimaSola3o4 my point is when you say "out of pocket" what does that mean? Deductable or copay? Or both? Thanks.
Amen as a CF mom I also thought about how people panic right now, and we ALWAYS are cautious about germs and viruses..
Denver Kauffman, Isn't that the truth. I think it has to be a bit easier to accept/adapt to the preventative measures, for those of us who live that way daily anyway. I'm truly hoping that the general public will come away from all of this, with a better understanding.
@The Frey Life.
Hi Mary, Hi Peter. I'm a big follower and fan:)I Live in CA. Mary, I live a life like yours so I get you guys. I have multiple severe Auto Immune illnesses. Living on TPN 27/7 right now through my port. It all feels normal to me and almost comforting logging in to watch you guys. Let's me know I'm not a lone and you both bring so much joy to my life. I'm so sorry you have been hit so hard with whatever this bug is. Mary, please take extra care of your lungs right now. Peter, you are a real trooper and have a heart of gold. You looked so sick. :( I hope you both start to really heal. Be very careful Mary, and Peter. Love you guys. Sending love and hugs.
-Kirsten 🥰💐🙏❤
U do sound terrible, fever or not, . Please remember to cough into elbow, not hands eh! I have been sick too, green phglem in nose, throat, a bit of sore throat, and green crap keep keeping my eyes closed. Getting better , no fever, . Omg, u do need to be extra careful. I will sub.
Kirsten Davis, You absolutely are not alone! Hang in there, and stay well!!
I was holding my breath the entire vlog praying it was not Covid-19 and finally breathed easier at the end when Mary said negative. So happy for you both. ❤️ I'm living in Italy and we're on lock down. Having CF myself I've been at home from work for the past 2 weeks because my job is in a public office and my doctors recommend that cf patients either work at home or just go on sick leave. I hate not being able to go to work or even go for a walk but it's better to be safe than sorry. I pray this ends soon a we go back to our normal lives. 🙏🙏🙏❤️
also, quarantine, because be safe! Those of us with Chronic illness have been washing our hands for YEARS!
I wonder if Peter’s platelets are a bit off too with that burst blood vessel in his eye-(although I do know coughing can cause it!). Continuing to send y’all love, hugs & prayers up for u both❤️🤗🙏
That sucks I hope it's not Covid19 I don't think so
Poor Peter looks so much worse than Mary☹️ Get well soon both of you!
Use your elbow not your hand!! Hope you feel better soon!
I hope you guys feel better soon! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Harry is so cute!
One thing that I noticed was that Mary was coughing into her hands, which is probably due to habit since her cough is usually not contagious. However it is important not to spread whatever it is she has to other people. Hope you both test negative for covid and you feel better soon.
It's just them in the house and they both already have it, so there is no trying not to spread it within their home anyways.
Such a relief that you were tested. Thanks be to God for negative test results for coronavirus. Many blessings 🙏 to both of you. ❤️
J Bean they went into the hospital.. so she could spread it there.
@@jbean9657 She was coughing into her hands in the car before they went into the hospital. I’m glad they didn’t have covid-19, but whatever they do have is one mean virus. I’m just drawing attention to it for her so she is aware of it, since like I said she normally doesn’t need to worry about it because she’s usually not contagious and spends an awful lot of time coughing. It’s a habit a lot of people have, and when you’re ill it’s best to cough into a Kleenex and through it away or cough into the crook of your arm when in public.
Julie, There was a time when while shopping at a store, there was no covering of the mouth in any form, while coughing. It is very common for CF patients to have chronic lung infections, and very common they may have a transmittable infection that is currently not being treated. CF in itself is absolutely NOT contagious,! The causative organisms of such lung infections can possibly be transmitted. This was a concern at the time, followed by receiving confirmation from the CDC that the information I've just stated is correct, and in turn....we've posted the correct information on this channel. So...it is true CF is NOT contagious; however, the lung infection that often can be present in the lungs of a CF patient can be. It's just our reality, nothing taboo about it, just something that absolutely should be handled appropriately. We all need to be cognizent of looking out for one another. I am hoping that this recent pandemic, will help us all be more vigilant. So glad both Peter and Mary are feeling better...I know it's been dreadful. Prayers going out to everyone who is ailing at this time.
I had the same flu you are talking about. I was home from work for a week, and still felt exhausted the following week. I still have a cough weeks later. This felt different from other flues that I’ve had in the past. My granddaughter had the same thing, and still coughing as well. This was/is a bad flu season, not counting the Carona virus of course! Glad you are feeling better!
I'm glad both of you look to be feeling a bit better. Hope you both feel totally well very soon and I hope Mary's bloodwork improves.
I am so so relieved you've both gone in to be tested especially you Mary! So that's one worry off the long list of others. You're a fighter girl with a great husband by your side! Now it's time to replenish, nourish the soul and eat eat eat! Good job you two! Sending warm mental hugs and prayers! xo
Getting tested doesn't help the recovery or the spread of any virus. Its only for keeping accurate records. Keep worrying!!
Mary you shouldn’t cough in your hand. Suppose to cough in your enter elbow. And wash your hands please.
wagal50 elbow coughing is not good for people with disabilities. It spreads more germs. She’s been dealing with this for ever and not since a billion people have become health conscious due to Corona. Those of us with disabilities have been dealing with far more of this for all our lives or life with disability. What you are facing with Corona is how we live daily. Also, it’s a vlog so you can’t say she didn’t wash her hands and or disinfect off camera or not filmed it. People on here criticizing her are extremely clueless to a life with a compromised immune system and a disability.
@@Sviani8 I was going to say that it must be nice to not have that knowledge firsthand. I have that knowledge firsthand because I've had asthma and scoliosis my whole life. And I also have hypothyroidism. All three of which impact the immune system. People who dont have chronic health issues truly don't have a clue.
mcrchickenluvr I agree completely!
I was worried about Covid-19 for you. Glad you are feeling better and you aren't part of the pandemic.
Mary: The word you were looking for is “delirium”
Mary...not being rude. However, you should really cough into your elbow. If you are sick.
Wait until you see the pollen from pine trees! Yellow everything! Yay glad it was negative, still with your low white cell count Mary be careful!
I am so impressed with how you have handled this. Healthy people are panicking and hoarding toilet paper like it's the end of civilisation. Meanwhile, you are fighting through a really nasty virus like the world isn't going crazy around you. Sensible as always! Hope you both feel better soon!
And I think you're right, the rest of us are getting an education on what everyday life is for someone who is immune-compromised. I think we all feel the responsibility now. Even if my body can fight off viruses like corona or the flu, I don't want to be responsible for potentially spreading a virus to someone who could get serious complications. So I take precautions and do what little I can to help slow the spread of this. And I vaccinate myself against the flu as I will be doing with covid 19 when that vaccine is ready. Herd protection!
people will always be afraid of the unknown. she is used to working even when sick :(
@@TheVanini35 That's fair, we're all worried about the situation. It is good to see people, like Mary and Peter, listening to their doctors and staying calm in a stressful situation. They are a good example for the rest of us to follow :)
I was watching a vlog and they said they saw a guy driving around with a roll of toilet paper strapped to the top of his truck. I blast laughed! :0D)))
nibindringiel, Very well said, and may I add a big "THANK YOU!" for the measures you take to help others. I can't help but think that other's will be a bit more vigilant in the future...at least I am truly hoping so! What you're doing IS appreciated, so thanks!!!
Yes, I skipped to the end and watched the results first, LOL. I'm SOOOOO relieved for you guys. Stay home (when you can), stay safe. Much love to you both.💙
I hope you start to feel better soon and hope it is not covid-19. The swine flu pandemic was the same way in terms of precautions. I have a friend who has CF and she had the swine flu and she said she never felt scared
Here in the state of PA, the schools are closed and most businesses are closed, due to this virus going around. I am chronically ill and am not going anywhere and only letting my caregivers in my home. My Dr told me if I start to feel sick I need to call 911 and go to the hospital via ambulance so I don't have to be in the waiting room. He also told me that I will be admitted as of all my other medical issues,
I know this should be obvious but it is not good to be coughing into your hands. ALWAYS should cough into your elbow. I hope you guys get better but think about others when you cough into your hand and you touch surfaces in the hospital or in public.
Amanda Young, Yep, this has been an issue in the past....and I wish people would realize....it is for the benefit of anyone around. Maybe this COVID 19 pandemic, will increase compliance in the future. Some people have a more difficult time breaking bad habits. For those of us who may be in the proximity of an uncovered cough....it's just simply respect for those around.
@@kimbo500 just as bad as people needing to be told to wash their hands.

Both of you take care of yourself! I may have missed it as I’m running around the house a bit. My dog is getting sick. :( Any way, Peter, did you get checked as well..some people just have a cough and are lethargic. Also, very very important...both of you guys have to stop touching your face totally, and cough in your arm, NOT your hands! Please xoxo I love you guys like your my own! xoxo
Do you think that maybe after 8 days and feeling better It may been kinda late for a covid test. I’m just wondering if it came back negative because you were both on the recovering end of it. Please don’t take my comment badly I’m just myself trying to figure out how it all works. I think you both are a great team together and brave. I would have went for a second opinion after that negative flu test. Especially with you both feeling so terrible with fever . You both are beautiful people with kind hearts and I’m so grateful you are both feeling better!
No, people were testing positive for 20+ days after getting sick in China. There are false negatives on both flu and COVID Tests, though
I’m only 3 minutes into the video and I’m already concerned about you having the coronavirus. I really hope that you don’t have it.
Me too.
They don’t
She said she was negitive for COVID19 at the end of the vlog after rewatching it!
Same
I'm glad to know you are ok and you don't have it. That's what Dewey and I are pretty well doing also. Staying at home and starting away from people. I'm not scared really but I know with my lung problems I had in Jan, and Dewey isn't ien the best shape. Also being his care giver, if I get sick, who's going to take care of him? So I have went to the store if we needed things, but I'm not going out and hoarding things tho. If nothing else this may help get the flu under control.
Look, I love you guys. I am a Christian also. I wish the best for both of you. That said, you have a disease, of that I have no doubt. But you have spent too many years worrying about every little thing. So you have some deserved hypocondria. But it is hypocondria. Look at your own reactions on this video. Once a DOCTOR told you you were healthy, your attitudes were were totally different. Not everything is going to kill you. Let GOD be GOD. If you trust HIM then show it. Love you
I was super sick for two weeks. Honestly thought I was dying.
Amen!! Im soo over joyed NO COVID 19!!! GET WELL SOON!!💖💖💖
that explains why your thumb bled so badly the other day and you didnt feel it was a significant cut.
and maybe even Peters eye
Low platelets .... connecting the puzzle pieces 👍
You have to be careful to not spread the virus to others.
Don’t spread panic. Odds are slim it would be Covid 19. Yes, get tested if you need that peace of mind. Some news can and should be kind of private in this pandemic environment. IMO
So many prayers 🧡🙏 so grateful it's not COVID-19. Thanks for the update! My chest x ray came back good and my flu test was negative so I had some virus too! Strange. Still recovering but grateful.
Would you look at that daddy's boy, Harry? ❤️😭❤️ He loves the heck outta you Peter. All the way down to the way he has his tail wrapped around your arm, you are officially his person! Makes sense, Mary basically has Ollie. 😍
Being immunocompromised I know personally getting any virus is way more of a strain on our bodies. Hope you are feeling better. I haven’t left home since our first local case. My hubby like yours makes sure I have what I need. Glad you are negative.
14:00 this part is so accurate. And yes, more people are getting sick as no one had immunity agains covid-19, but in a way, this is actually what a lot of people have to do always like taking precautions as the flu or even a cold can also be devastated for us as well. And everyone who is complaining now, might have a little inside in what we do everyday. And they will get back to normal in a while, when we won’t.
I love how close Harry and Peter are : ) It's always the skeptical ones that the cats win over and then they become crazy about them. My mom's best friends husband demanded she not get a cat. Well, she finally went for it. Her husband is now crazy about them. Has built hammocks for the cats for the windows. Spend a weekend with the cat on the couch wiping its nose when it had a cold. Now they have 2. He's a total cat dad. 💗 Nice to see people appreciate the wonderful, sweet, intelligent creatures they are. And so individual. Some act like stereotypical cats, some act like stereotypical dogs.
I'm on mandatory quarantine and my family and neighbors have been so helpful in keeping me fed... And my friends text and call to check on me. 14 days is a long time.
Talia Spierer I am almost a hermit, but I know if I “couldn’t “ go anywhere I would immediately feel confined! Best wishes for the time to pass quickly.
I think if you have a porch or outdoor space it would be good to get out and breath fresh air a couple times a day. I guess you are to stay inside not to let the versus out into the air? Good excuse to do spring cleaning.
Thank the Lord it isn't COVID-19!!! (spoilers) The timing with Trikafta becoming available and this pandemic coming is so strange!
I’m glad your test is negative! Our hospital is saying that they aren’t even testing patients for Covid if they haven’t been out of the country or have been exposed to someone who WAS tested & his positive. There are still other flu strains, so they will assume it’s those strains versus testing everyone who is sick with flu symptoms. I don’t know which flu I had last month, but it knocked me down for 14 days. It was weird, I didn’t get really sick with flu symptoms until day 4 through 9. By day 10 my O2 sats finally broke 90! I sure hope you both continue to improve with each passing day. Our family is self-quarantining for the next 2 weeks simply due to having 2 cancer patients living here and my own serious health issues. It’s a crazy time for sure! Blessings & love to the 4 of you! Xoxo
Great news! Praying that you both heal completely from this viral illness. 🤗❤️❤️🙏🏼😘🐕🐱
no matter what illness you caught yourself, you will also get through this. you have been through so much together. you are so inspiring and give me and many others so much positivity and strength. I wish you a quick and good recovery. stay as you are. you are the best❤
I think the word you were looking for was derived from "delirium" Feel better....
the naked house panther on your shoulder Peter is so stinking cute! And we all thought it was Mary that would be the cat's person! 🤣
And you are out doing your thing why??? You both should be home ... not understanding this video
It might have been negative, but you've had COVID-19. I don't care what anyone says.
??
Covid 19 most likely has been circulating in the US prior to March. A lot of people could have had it but it miss diagnosed as the flu or another virus
I’m glad your both getting better. Today Here in the England it was announced that in the next few weeks they are probably going to pass a bill to to stop ppl over 70 and those who are more vulnerable to have to stay in their homes for 4months. I have several different chronic conditions that means I’m seriously immunocompromised so if they do pass the bill then I will have to stay indoors for 4months. And the thought of that is seriously bothering me. As always sending you loads of love from me over here in England. 💙💪🏻🇬🇧💜
Great news you two! Social distancing is important more than ever, and with Corona spreading everywhere staying put looks like the best plan. I am glad to hear this, as I had feared that CoVid19 would have been much rougher on Mary’s lungs. God bless you both. You inspire so many. We are hunkering down now, from home. Waiting to see where things go
I know this might sound bad but I was hoping it was covid... my daughter has asthma and if Mary could get through it without major complications then it would make me feel better! I am so glad you both are feeling better though!
Everyone needs to
Cover their cough with elbow/arm or tissue.
Try not to touch your face
Which of course makes me want to touch my face...gah. it is good advice for being cautious
Happy to hear Mary and Peter are getting better and have tested negative.
@ Simone, I agree, and don’t cough into your hands.
Simone Schultz, Absolutely!! :)
So cute how your kitty is snuggling with Peter at the end of video
How's Peter's eye been doing? It still looks kinda red and irritated.
What was wrong with his eye? I've seen some of the corona virus start out as pink eye.
@@katiehenry7 I think he just strained a blood vessel from all of the forceful coughing and vomiting
Their results for the corona virus were also negative
Praise the Lord ! Sending many prayers for a speedy recovery.
If its not Covid-19, what IS it? Glad you are better. Curious to know how you got a test? Since they are scarce?
Maybe it's because she has CF because she would be considered like a high risk case ? I think
She qualified based on symptoms alone but having CF helped expedite getting tested.
There are a thousands of viruses out there. Just because they are sick doesn’t mean it’s covid19.
Delerium??
People here are complaining they have to stay at home since a lot is closed down here but I've been living at home full time for 5 years now due to chronic illness... I really hope people start to get how hard being ill can be now.
Mary and Peter I too have a lung situation. I have an autoamune disease with heart and lung involvement . SO SO GLAD your getting medical care. 😷🤕🤧
Frankie Kohl stay healthy!!!! 💪💪💪
My concern would now be if they put you in a room that they put everyone to test for Covid. Which would put you in some kind of contact if that’s the case. I’m a worrier so that’s immediately what popped in my head. And lastly, I’m immune compromised and I have to wear masks out sometimes too. My doctor told me to make it tighter to my face by twisting the part that goes over your ear before you put it over your ear. It takes some of the slack out. Just a little tip I wanted to pass on. Hope you’re both feeling better.
Sarah Rune, Good of you to share that... I have done the same thing at work, and it helps me too! :)
You both have been on my heart for weeks now! Keeping you in prayer! We are self isolating b/c it is the responsible thing to do for us & others! From what I've heard of the virus I have wondered if the Trikafta might be helpful in treating it. But who knows? God is faithful! Love from our home to yours. ☺. So happy for the good news please continue to stay safe!
I can't believe you are waiting until now to quarantine yourselves. As a high risk patient you really should have been taking precautions a month ago. COVID-19 can be transmitted for 14 days BEFORE you even notice your first symptom. Testing negative really only means that you could still get it. I have to say I'm surprised you two don't know this and haven't been more careful.
Shawn Resor, Over a year ago....before we knew of COVID-19, we had quite the conversations on this channel, regarding taking precautions (or not), and cross contamination. It was not only re: precautions for herself, but for those around her. A couple of my colleagues (physicians), and I contacted the CDC to confirm that the guidelines had not changed. They confirmed that our information was correct, and that the proper precautions were not taken in the vlog at the time. Not following proper precautions can easily lead to a public health issue. Therefore, we spoke up to share the accurate information to the public. Because of that experience, I wasn't surprised that I do no t see appropriate precautions taken R/T COVID-19. Sad but true. More and more readers are noticing the lack of precautions though, and are mentioning them. Thanks for sharing! :)
How do you feel that the CDC is now saying if you get CViD-19 you will lose 20-30% of your lung function. I already have lost 30% of mine already. I wouldn't want to lose any more!
Man... I just want you two feeling better! Looks like Nurse Harry has Peter covered, and Nurse Ollie has Mary. The sicker I am the tighter my dogs wrap around me... I swear, animals are little angels!
Love you guys 🤗🙏
Take care you guys. I am senior with fibromyalgia compromised immune system and running 100 f fever with severe headaches over week. I was scared at first but taking it one day at a time
Carol Nolan, I have Fibro too, and felt under the weather all last week. Thankfully not horrendous, but intermittent headache, cough, and chills. Hang in there, and keep drinking those fluids!! Hope you feel better real soon!
Peter's eye looks like it hurts!!!
I’m currently in self isolation as I have several autoimmune diseases and medications have made me immunosuppressed. My drs put me on self isolation at the beginning of March when they discharged me from almost 8 weeks in hospital with a severe respiratory infection. (Not COVID)
Hi Guys , so glad you don`t have COVID-19 , but still so sorry you have 'a' bug. Thank you for the update , I am sure this is going to help many who might be feeling down and to know there is another bug out there that is very nasty as well. Glad your staying put for a while , truly the safest thing right now. God bless you both and all my hopes and continued prayers. Take care , Gary
That is good you all are "taking care of" Mary's body but what about Peter's body...peter who never gets sick? That is what worried me. And I am thankful it was not the coronavirus for you all. We are staying in due to my health issues and my lung issues. You might ask your doctor if you two can take zinc tablets...you just put one in your mouth and suck on it til it dissolves. It is good for colds, etc. We use them...not twenty of them in a day but a few through out the day.
You guys have really been thru it this week.Glad your in the warmer weather at least.can Ollie do outside time without you having to monitor him? Can you use cough syrups at all Mary?
Great news! God hears our prayers, and you've made the long turn around the corner. Praise the Lord!😊
It almost sounds like you have the Croup; which I contracted from my son and my granddaughter. It started with the same symptoms you guys have had and lots of coughing. The symptoms lasted a good month, so I would assume we were contagious that whole period of time.. and we stayed home for that length of time and even after; until the cough went away. It was a horrible virus! Hope you guys get better soon! xx
Hope you guy feel better. Thank goodness for trikafta!
Ah. No views and 30 likes. Makes sense😂
I watched another video before this and even after a refresh it shows no views... Something is up with UA-cam
Happy to hear its not positive. Because whatever you did have is bad enough. Stay safe and thanks for keeping us informed. I have what you guys had but with LOTS of congesting. Coughing harder then ive ever coughed. All day long. Its a beast! But day 9 and im also feeling im on the upswing...but needing to take it easy and social distancing because i couldnt take anything else right now!
I'm so Thankful that the results were negative for you both. I think everyone who follows your vlogs have been worried. It must have been grim trying to film while feeling so bad, but I for one have been really grateful for the updates, even if short - just to know how you are. Peter, you are such a 'Rock' (as in your name same sake) to Mary in so many ways, and I had a new appreciation and realisation that yes, this is nothing new to your lifestyle, you have always had to take precautions like everyone else in the world should be doing now. I hope too that more people have a better understanding of your 'normal daily life routine. If nothing else good comes from this awful situation the world now finds itself in, I hope we can all come together to help the most vulnerable people who have no support at all. I'm in the UK and my Mum's care home has just gone into lock down for I guess quite a while. This virus will, and is affecting so many people in so many ways, but it's a great opportunity for people to 'come together' and help how they can. Elevation Worship streamed a fantastic 'Live' Service/Worship stream this afternoon which really inspired me, they obviously couldn't have a huge normal group service. I didn't realise they were in N.C but not sure if it's available without subscription - worth a view if it's public. 'virtual hugs' (thank God you say ) to you both and hope you continue to improve each day. Lots of love. Lin, Liverpool, UK. xx
Trust in God is all one can do my husband and I are old and sickly and doing our best to stay in but when it comes right down to it only God can get us all through
