@@sleeperdude2690 Oh, Sleeperdude, She's the mother of 3 creative kids, 4 if you count yourself. She does a great job, and with a big smile and attaboys for all. She's a keeper, Clark.
My first real bike was a Suzuki 50cc which I had about 3 years. Paid $125, sold it for $125. Good Luck Ralphie and take good care of that beautiful machine.
I had a '79 Yamaha DT100 back when I was younger. Bullet proof. Maintained properly, those little enduro bikes will run forever. Congratulations, Ralphie! Nice score!
Tip for the Ralphinator... Take off the rear shocks and reseal em, flush and fill everything including front shock seals. Spray some "white lithium" down your brake cables and throttle cables, polish her up and you got a $3,500 bike young Sleeperdude.
That’s awesome! It’s good to see your kids have cool stuff. They are a perfect example of work paying off. It’s not like they lay around expecting everything for free. Y’all are raising those kids right!
I had a 100 when I wasn't much older than Ralphie.. as he was riding I closed my eyes and it felt like I was driving around our suburban block irritating all of our neighbors .. Great Christmas gift ! Thanks for the memories ! Merry Christmas Godspeed y'all :)
That's amazing! I bought myself a used Honda ST-90 with my newspaper route/babysitting money when I was Ralphie's age and it was just the best to ride along trails. I have no doubt he'll have a blast with his cool present! Merry Christmas y'all!
My first Yamaha was just like that, It was a basket case My Dad bought for me in 1979 for my 13th birthday. Took a bit but I did get it to run. Great memories.
I had a KX80 when i was about Ralphie's age and just loved it. These little two strokes have some punch and it was always fun as they thrive on the high RPM range.
Great bike ! Growing up in the late 80's my father bought me an 1984 Yamaha DT 80. same color blue tank, but had a speedo and a headlight on it. I spent almost every day for years riding that bike. One of my fondest memorys. Never saw another the same color until now.
Looks like it's got extra oil in the tank. Possibly from the fresh rebuild. That bike will run a lot cleaner and better once the amount of extra smoke goes away. And make sure that stock exhaust pipe (and exhaust port) isn't closed up by carbon. .-ex Yamaha service manager and GP roadracer.
Merry Christmas to you and your family! And the animals. And Mike the Neighbor. And Dollar General. And Mimi, Bad Daddy Braddy & the cousins and all the extended family. And the Burger King. ✝🎅🎄
Had a 75 Yamaha 175 2-stroke I rebuilt when I was Exactly his age and man would that thing fly! Congrats Ralphie on the cool new bike! PS make sure you check the oil in the tank if it's oil injected.
Oh my goodness lord someone needs to send the boy a 1990 cr 80 so they all can rip aruond, this is so cool dude love it ❤️. Start em early so they love it for life 😀
My father bought me a kawasaki 70 when I was young and I was absolutely blown away! He said that he wasn't a mechanic so if anything goes wrong with it you have to fix it yourself 😂 I had a couple minibikes before but nothing that shifted gears so anyway.. That's super cool for Ralf!! Congratulations!
The town I grew up in Northern California was just like Tennessee is now...... 50 years ago!! Now you can't do anything. God bless you all and merry Christmas!! 🎄🎄 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Way back when I was a teenager, I had a Honda XL70. I was probably too big for it, but I rode that bike everywhere! I kept it until I bought my '73 Kawasaki S2-350. It was a 2-stroke and sounded like a hive of ticked off bumble bees! I wish I still had that.
Merry Christmas y'all! Brought back memories of me at 10 getting a Honda Elsinore MR 50 in 1980. He's gonna have a blast on that rig and it just won't quit.
That's awesome, Man i bet hes happy, lucky kid. All i wanted growing up was a dirtbike or quad. I asked every single birthday and and Christmas 😅.. I didn't get my first dirtbike until i was 18 with my first tax return. From there it spiralled into a addiction to motorcycles and quads, three wheelers..go carts.. I spent my whole 20s making up for a childhood with no motorized toys 😂.. It'll be financially better for him in the long run to get a little of that out of his system now trust me lol.
Happy early Christmas, Ralphie! Thanks for the video. I have to stay away from swap meets, flea markets, and thrift stores. Otherwise I'd never have any money. Or any room to turn around in my house! Merry Christmas to all of you!
I don't know how many years they made those but that was my first motorcycle exactly like that in about 1982 it wasn't new I rode that thing hundreds of miles
The whole Sleederdude family is so attractive. Marge, you look great. That little Yamaha is sweet. It is a real quality bike. I think it is already in good shape. Just run some really good 2 stroke oil. On those 2 strokes, we would take off the head, and cylinder, then clean off all the carbon buildup. Then break a ring in half and use it to clean out the carbon in the ring groves. Clean out the exhaust port too.
Probably not bigger normally on a small two stroke line like that you replace the cylinder jug along with the piston and rings. They do make a big bore kit for it though and is easy to do.
I had a 1984 Yamaha YZ80 when I was 14. It was a year old when I got it but it was basically brand new. A friend of mine got it new and wouldn't ride it because it was very fast. I loved that thing. Congratulations! Remember it's a two stroke so give er the gas!!!😁
Nice little bike the DT was a super well built bike I got 9 different bikes starting from a 1973 gold orange 250 to a 1977 silver DT 250 and a 1978 yellow 400 Awsome trail bikes not the fastest but not much can stop them in the deep woods 32/1 oil mix will keep the top ends oiled up better and the old drum brakes don’t stop as good if you get in deeper water but other then that there unstoppable bikes merry Christmas sleeper dude family
Nice litle bike im restoring a yamaha ty50 at the moment and its a real simple engine but realy good and got a yamaha rd50 ams has the same egine to so parts air no problem
That cross ram for a small block was cool , had one when I was teenager, fully polished, so were the were carbs , Chrysler afbs , engine was so radical, it was hard to drive on the street , but definitely turned heads
Thanks for bringing us along. Great little bike Ralphie scored. I just hope he doesn’t grow too much in six months before riding season comes back around. They just grow up way too fast.
