    You look gorgeous. I’m gonna have to use the den man brush now. I used it before and I couldn’t stand it. Now I realize I need to use it in really small sections. Great video.

    Your hair looks lovely. Gotta get me a denman brush. I usually just do the raking method for wash n gos but I will certainly try the brush soon

    Nicely done. This is almost exactly how I did wash n gos back in tha day. I did smaller sections in the beach The Denman is much faster than fingers to me. I also used larger Denman brushes but they worked better for detangling rather than defining.

      Thank you! I'm thinking about getting one with more rows to see what happens. Maybe it's because it was my first time, I felt like my fingers are quicker.

    Hi. I’m the one who asked you about using the Denman to do a W&G. I feel like every time I comment on your videos I mention how I am relatively new to natural hair but basically that’s why I asked. I am still learning & exploring and I have seen the brush but don’t see many type 4 naturals using it. I was curious about seeing it in your hair. Having said all that-this video had me so nervous. Lol. When you were skeptical in the beginning I was so afraid it would go left & you would not like it and it’d be “my fault.” But it turned out great. It was soooo pretty. I loved the small curls but if you want larger curls perhaps a different Denman would do that!? I did see other types of brushes on their website-brushes that have less teeth and wider spaced teeth. Next experiment!? *hides face* lol

      Hey Elle, yes, I realized it was you and posted a screenshot of the actual comment at the end. Girl, I was mighty nervous, but I like the end result. The smaller curls work. I think it's a great look. Thank you very much for the video idea. Keep em coming 💖

      It’s because it’s a trend that’s already passed. You can’t change the size of your curls. Most type 4s (that don’t have silky hair) don’t like defining with a denman because they only define the ends and puff out the roots-it’s great if you want a very fluffy wash n go. But most people want that root-to-tip definition and on non-silky textures, you can only do that with your fingers.
      Hope that helps!

    Yes it looks fab hon. I would have never thought to do a wash n go with a brush on my hair. But now I know to give it a shot. I do have a small 3 row comb that I thought would be interesting to try. Just never got around to it. I've not been doing wash n gos lately since I feel it would look better with a curly cut and...she just not ready. So I've gone back to medium sized twists.

      Hey Tee! I miss reading your comments, girl! But I think a 3 row may not give you the same results. If you do try it, let me know how you like the outcome.

    What I a loving is the volume and lack of shrinkage. I get mad definition on my hair but the hair is kinda flat. This method gives it a nice FRO look so I need to try it.

    Nessa! Nessa!! Nessa!!! I'm trying this. No salon will take my money. Happy I stumbled on your channel. One question, how do I maintain the curls so it lasts for 2 weeks?

      Personally I make sure my hair is in a bonnet or scarf at night and I fluff and go in the AM. That's all. As long as you use a good gel, you should be fine. I hope it works out for you!

      @@Leaveit2Nessa hey! It was a fail. I took some of the rows out a long time ago and couldn't find them to put them back in the brush. The rows are space apart to have defined curls. Going to get me another Denman brush and try another day. 😫

  • @psr076
    @psr076 2 роки тому

    It looks good ! I rarely use the Denman because when I do there's to much shrinkage for me

    • @Leaveit2Nessa
      @Leaveit2Nessa  2 роки тому

      I think if you use it with a gel that provides firm hold like the one I used in the video, you may experience less shrinkage. But I will say it will lose some of the hold as the days progress. It's been 10 days for me I think and my hair is looking like a fro, but a defined fro. The roots have no hold really but the ends are somewhat defined still. I hope that made sense.
