- www.timothyseaman.com/ An informal video of Timothy Seaman's unique duet arrangement of this glorious piece: J.S. Bach composed the original part for the keyboard, Prelude No. 1 in C from The Well-Tempered Clavier, in 1722; then in 1853 Charles Gounod added the introduction and one chord about 2/3 through, improvised a melody, and called it 'Meditation on the First Piano Prelude by Bach', intended for violin. The words of 'Ave Maria' were added later.
Timothy plays this in the key of D on a Dusty Strings D600 hammered dulcimer (1999) and a Gemeinhardt 3ssb flute (1978).
Incredibly beautiful, Tim. Thank you.
So wonderful again!!
Just fantastic! I love it❤
Lovely, Timothy. I wish I had a flute playing friend
Good day. Thanks for taking time to talk about your music and instruments with my wife and I at Skyland this evening. We really enjoyed meeting you.
Wonderful to meet you! Perhaps the time will come that we can make music together!
