Funeral Honors Training Video

Sailors assigned to USS Constitution demonstrate the proper way to conduct funeral honors. Military Funeral Honors are provided to recognize the sacrifice and contributions of our nation’s veterans.
USS Constitution is the world’s oldest commissioned warship afloat and played a crucial role in the Barbary Wars and the War of 1812, actively defending sea lanes from 1797 to 1855. Today, the Sailors stationed aboard provide free tours and visitation as the ship serves to promote the Navy’s history, maritime heritage, and supports educational outreach focused on raising awareness on the importance of a sustained naval presence to more than 600,000 visitors each year.

Sadly I was at a funeral yesterday where 2 USS Constitution Sailors performed funeral honors. One of the Sailors had his hands in his pocket the entire time and periodically pulled out his phone to check. How does this happen? Completely UNSAT

These funeral homes here nowadays push sales of a coffin spray of flowers and fold the flag and put it on a stand. 🤔😔
