  • This is Larry Jordan, brother of legend Michael Jordan, dunking a basketball at 5'8. I guess athletic genes run through the Jordan family. Originally aired during the 1987-88 season.

Remember Jordan said if Larry was 6’2 he would be known as Larry’s bro. Only his height stopped him from being pro. He whooped Mj’s ass for years gotta love the brotherly respect of the GOAT. Being able to dunk on that height with ease is ridiculous to say the least. Top tier Basketball DNA right there.

You don't get a 45 inch vertical by riding your bike. Millions of kids ride their bikes everywhere and can't jump like that. It's not from playing lots of hoops either or else all those white kids in Indiana who play day and night would be exceptional leapers. It's genetics and there is nothing wrong with that.

I remember them removing that joke from “Come Fly With Me” as a kid when I had the VHS in the late 80s. I guess they thought it was inappropriate humor since so many kids would be watching it. Then when they released that “Ultimate Jordan Collection” in the 2000s, they had Michael and his sister making jokes about “the milkman was tall”.
MJ looked like his dad anyway. He had some very tall uncles and cousins, just no one else tall in his immediate family.

It's a real shame because it would have been cool to see Larry play.
