A great reminder that things are easy to come by and people are generous. No need to keep all your belongings “just in case you might need them”, offer them up in faith that you’ll have what you need when the times comes! March of this year I was feeling landlocked after a few months being a new mom of two under 2 and thought it would be cool to go for a walk with my little boys. I decided to ask the “buy-nothing” mama group of my local area and see if anyone had a double-stroller they no longer needed. Someone responded to my request and I use that stroller many times a week now! Free and works perfect for our needs! I think about this act of generosity often and feel inspired to give of my own resources to other mamas in need.
Such a great video! We befriended a single Mom at our church and she benefited greatly on hand me downs from our boys. She got help and it was much easier to part with things for us. Thrift stores are becoming very expensive in our area and if I can pass it on to someone for free I will🙂.
I love this thought. I just moved from a "resell culture" city to a "give away culture" city. At first, I got really frustrated with it. Facebook Marketplace used to be my go-to, and it is SUPER inactive here. But it was ultimately a huge blessing! This community is so generous that we can often just put a call out on the Buy Nothing group and have our needs met. I'm excited to start stepping into the role of giver more often. Cute haircut, by the way!
Yes! I had a package of clip hangers in my Amazon cart, waiting for the next item we needed for free shipping. Found them 5/$1 at s thrift store. God provided. Someone like you donated stuff on hangers that someone like me needed. Jesus is enough.
This was a wonderful message. Someone years ago told my class that we were the answer to a prayer.. Somewhere there was a need waiting for us to fulfill and we are blessed when we bless others. My prayer is to be aware of those opportunities.
I'm so Happy you shared about a Foster closet. I've been donating to that cause for a few years. It's a wonderful Blessing to all the children in the Foster care. God bless you!
I cannot get my hubby on board. He hoards everything! We had an atomic clock that quit working and we replaced it with a new one. He wanted to keep the non working clock “because we have had it for so long”. And he wanted to keep it on the wall!

That is challenging. It took a long time for my husband to come around. Focus on what you can part with and ask God to lead you both. 💕
Great topic!!
