Please see immediate medical attention if you dislocate a finger, or at least make sure you make your chores. I dislocated my pinky finger about 7 years ago (not mtb related) and still can't get my finger straight. Even if it isn't a usual trouble it is a trouble from time to time when you least expect it. So even if a dislocated finger can seem to be a minor trouble to begin with it can be a larger inconvenience later on, I need a surgery to help me now and it seems that's like starting all over. So listen to your doctor and do your recovery.
But isn't it unfair if the person with one more try gets it "first"? Would be the same if he made it on first try and so the other rider wouldn't even have the chance to complete it as well.

What size forks is Neil running??
I think Neil's spectral was used in the trail vs enduro fork video. So 150mm travel I think.
My 2019 spectral has a 160mm fork
I'm pretty sure Neil's spectral is 2018. The 2019 has a few suspension changes like 10mm extra travel on the fork.
