Wow, does this bring back memories! Rake out the ashes, split the kindling, get the fire roaring again. Check. Shovel (or plow) snow. Check. Sledding. Check! We never had ATVs growing up, but we did ride our bikes in the snow, LOL. Crazy kids. Those ATVs in the woods looked like a ton of fun, Adam. Here I am, a 55 year old mother, trying not to be envious of your fun snow day. We only got a bit of white powder. I just LOVE snow. Anderson will grow up enjoying winter, if you work it right. When he's older, let him build wooden forts and snow forts in the woods all day. Honestly, we would go out for hours, come inside and put our wet clothes in the dryer, wrap up in blankets and drink hot cocoa. We'd get a bowl of chili from the stew pot on the back of the woodstove, then bundle up again in warm (dryer warm!) clothes, and go back out for another round of winter fun. Over and over, until the sun went down and the streetlights went on. And then we'd come inside, eat some supper and go back out again until bed time. We never convinced our parents to let us sleep outside in the igloo, though. We did try, but no go. We had old rugs in there, candles in snow alcoves, snacks, old Readers' Digests (I have no idea why) -- the igloos were so much fun. Maybe if we get enough snow this winter (NJ), I'll make an igloo and sleep in it overnight. LOL.
Gosh Adam, it’s so beautiful there. I’m happy the pond has frozen to give you some joy. Y’all have worked very hard last year to make this a great time to enjoy friends and family. I live in beautiful coastal SE NC and we may get some wintry mix with temperatures in the 20’s. As long as the parking lots freeze I can get some awesome donuts in. And to me, that is joyful. Granted I’m a 55 year young grandma but speed knows no age🤣
You need a snowmobile Adam, more fun on those. Its great to have the Wife and Son on film. Those side markers work Great on the edge to mark your drive way.
All good stuff Adam. I found myself moving my head during the atv ride so I didn't get hit in the face with the trees. We get an average of 18 feet of snow.
Well this video is sure to make most wicked jealous. When it rarely snows in Pinehurst NC, we use the roof of a golf cart. It has handles to hold on and can hold three people. Amazing footage riding the trails, I’m one of the jealous.
This could have been a full video of that music & your fireplace - so peaceful 😉💞 If we get flurries - once every ten years in South Louisiana - our city totally shuts down for days!! We'd never survive what y'all get 🤣🤣🤣 Your "Doug" road markers worked well 👍 Your son is adorable, & your wife is beautiful!! God bless y'all!
Funny you guys are getting more snow down there than we are in New England. Tell Mother Nature to send that stuff north. The ranger did great and always look forward to more videos
Great day, there is something comforting about cleaning/moving snow. Almost as good as making firewood. The best part of tobogganing is coming home for the hot chocolate, your son would probably love a pile/mountain of snow to play in. The four wheeling looked like a good time and the surrounding were beautiful. The only thing missing was building a snow man. 😊👍👍👍
You are only about an hour or so north of me but it looks like you got more snow. I agree on the 4x4. Fun riding. I have a german shorthaired pointer dog that needs lots of activity. So, last few nights I have been out in our fields riding while she runs 80 yards ahead of me. we both have blast.
North East PA here. I always push the snow way more than needed. If it starts to get hard and you need to plow again, you will be hard pressed to get it all pushed back. 4 wheeler is all year round and I agree not owning a snowmobile. I have the new Kubota 520 UTV and just like your UTV, they are a beast! Love your videos and never miss any of them!
The dude in the front kept cracking me up cause he would full send it and then Adam would modestly follow behind you can tell he has a family he’s gotta come home to I don’t mean that in a bad way😂😂😂😂
Man look at all those rocks in the snow. My wife and I were discussing whether to put in a concrete or gravel drive. We currently have just dirt. You just made up my mind. Concrete it is
Great video Adam, you guys had such a good time sliding what fun, and four wheeling. I was impressed on how well the side by side pushed that heavy snow. Good job.
When I lived on A.F.B's in Plattsburgh NY and Fairbanks Alaska they propped the plows up about an inch to not ruin the substrate underneath. We would ice skate ⛸ on it
Adam nice video! Noticed in the beginning cutting up the kindling. Buy the kindling cracker from northern tool! great and pretty safe way to split down kindling quick
Nice work Adam, when I have to plow wetter, heavier, deeper stuff I start at both edges and my first pass is windrowing the sides so I have more room, then I'll work the centers outward.
Love, love, love this video, you had me ducking and I'm not even there. Looks like you may have some work ahead of you with the low-hanging limbs, but I'm sure a lot of that was the weight of the snow. Absolutely Gorgeous. We live in Jacksonville Florida, and I was born and raised here, so we very rarely see any snow. My husband is from upstate NY, so I have had the experience of it a few times. Thanks so much for sharing.
I thought the ride on the four wheeler was awesome. Reminded me of a first person video game! Beautiful scenery and glad I personally didn't get smacked in the face by a snow covered branch! Best ride I NEVER had! 😊
I like the video Adam,a 4 wheeler would be lots of fun in the snow as long you didn’t go to fast and lose control on it,your son would be better as he get older, the machine did great pushing the snow especially 10 inches of snow
Fun stuff man.. jealous!! Still waiting for that big one here in NE! Usually get a 10+ incher once or twice a winter and I'm out in it all day enjoying just the same👍💪🇺🇸
We got hit with that same storm in Ontario, Canada. I also have a Ranger 570 without a plow and I never thought it would have pushed that kind of snow. The trail riding looked perfect, lots of fun.
Hey Adam, I dress up my gravel driveway in early fall and it helps alot with the amount of gravel that gets plowed out. By the time you get the first snow the gravel is nice and packed and you don’t have that center ridge of gravel that ends up in your grass. It’s really helped with the spring raking. Take care.
I agree with you on the ATV over snowmobile, where i live you can use a snowmobile more but you might be able to ride it for a month out of the year. Blasting through the snow on an ATV is so much fun! Great video.
Hey Adam, have you considered plowing the snow around the pond into the pond? I'd stack it as high as possible and see how long it takes to melt when the weather gets warm. It will help fill the pond faster.
Surprisingly we did clean the trails last summer with a pole saw. We even did a video on it but there’s not much you can do when the snow weighs everything down
@@HometownAcres LOL, I remembered the vidio!! guess I was just trying to be humorous implying that, you're always gonna have something goin on when you got property to maintain and enjoy! Your son needs a few siblings to help with them 'chores' !! Lol

I’ve driven a RZR 570 before and they have some balls. I’m sure your 570 Ranger does just fine plowing in low gear, as we can see it does. That’s some awesome riding you guys did. Maybe think about getting the mirrors and heated grips for it. They’re both actually pretty inexpensive. Just a suggestion. You really turned me on to the CFMOTOS. I’m looking forward to getting one too. Stay safe and healthy and keep warm.
Growing up we would get 10 to 20 friends together and go road riding during a snow storm on quads. Now we all have kids and don't have the time for that anymore.
Thanks for the ride along! You captured one of my favorite snow images. I saw more blue (sky) in the snow that you pushed than what we had! I love that visual. My question for you is do y'all treat your gloves and bootz with snow no?snow seal? What are the go too gloves y'all use? Thanks for sharing!
I agree with you man, we here in Stanton ky hardly ever get a deep snow. We got 11" last week, so i got to plow with my yamaha kodiak 700. Then trail ride a bit. Snowmobile would be useless here too !!! Lol Great video. Thanks for sharing ! PHIL
That first snow plowing you did a few videos ago, I would of just drove over & packed it down. I hate having the gravel go thru the snow blower or having my beautiful rode end up in the ditch come spring.
Let me guess ………… the next video will be clearing and resurfacing the ice ?!?! Can’t wait !!! That used to be the most work after slushy heavy snow on our rink.
My neighbor plows my half mile driveway with a Ranger and it does a great job, but it does have its limits. We had a 10 inch snow that his machine handled just fine, but the next storm dropped 12 inches and was blown by 12 to 18 mph winds that filled the snow berms on either side of the driveway and left a smooth plain of snow 2 to 3 feet deep. Not much fun to clear with an open station tractor.
Every video I see. You, mike Morgan, anyone else and those ATV with a plow. I guess it sets up the spring use of the Stihl and paddle wheel removing rocks from the grass. Plow snow and rocks😬 oh by the way maybe mike can sell you the 4 seater side by side.
I am jealous, here in WI we haven't got a big snow yet this year. In my experience atv and utv's with plows only lack in traction not power. Looks like you need a piece of 3/4 " PVC with a slit in it on your Blade make ya quit picking up something gravel just the width of the blade it'll leave a little more snow but ya won't be rakin as much gravel in the spring !!!
Hint lol never leave windrows with a angle plow always take a smaller cut you will thank me later lol. Also maybe have an spreader on the back of that sidexside with salt or ash so you guys have a non icey driveway after you plow it lol
I know it would be an expensive project but have you ever thought about getting a black top driveway. You wouldn’t have to worry about buying rock every other week in the spring and summer when it rains and or damaging your equipment from using it in the snow. Just a thought.
I saw your video from 3 years ago ... u where plowing with the kenda claw tires ... are u still using them on your machine in this video... I ask cause I am considering buying them for my machine

Even worse today for what they want you to pay for them. Besides all that, there is so much housing that has gone up around us that you have to trailer them to go ride anywhere now. My wife an i decided it was time to find a new winter hobby, like staying home and inside where its warm, lol.
Sold my sleds many years ago. Finally ended with a Rzr sxs.. enclosed it, installed a heater and in it, threw a 6ft snowplow on it and a sirus xm radio.. COZY!!
Doug's clever roadside markers worked perfectly.
What an awesome time with your son. He might be too young to remember but I think you'll never forget that fist toboggan run.

Put some sand bags or weight in the bed of the UTV. You’ll be amazed with how much more control you’ll have and push much deeper snow.
Get that truck in the garage to thaw out looks like the ranger did a decent job in that heavy wet snow
