Put a robot there...go for it. I'm not eating robotically made shit with no love. The food is already bad for you and now you take the love out of it? What's left? nothing...
Thank you for mentioning this. stakeholder primacy for the win. Focus on the WHOLE of a company, not one part. Let's talk about getting all internet social media to follow the 1932 Communications Act so they can't sensor us anymore. We should place them under this as a common carrier so they cannot restrict free speech.

I worked at Wendy's for a year in high school. After 1 full year, I got my performance review and with glowing enthusiasm they told me how thrilled they were that I had mastered ever single role for my class. With that news they offered me a 10c/hour raise... I quit on the spot. Ended up getting a job at a grocery store for 30% better pay and half the bs. Thank you Wendy's for making me find a better job. I've never eaten there since and that was 20 years ago.

Back in the old days fast food places used Tallow on their french fries and they used real 100 percent beef on their burgers. Now it's processed imitation unhealthy garbage on their foods.
Fast food places decided to use Seed Oils and other intimation processed garbage in their foods to cut down the company cost while they continue to charge full prices to customers. Most customers don't read the ingredients on food labels anyway so it's easy for them to get away with it. I just went to Taco Bell. The restaurant is literally 4 buildings down from my apartment. I ordered one crunchy taco, one chicken quesadilla and a soda. I ordered on the app, so I didn't bring my wallet. The total was $9.99 plus tax, which is about 4 times higher than 10-15 years ago. I went up to ask the front counter for a small cup of sour cream, and I see the lady tap her screen. I asked her if it cost money. She said it did. Sometimes fast food restaurants charge $0.25, to $0.40 for sauce if you don't order it upfront, which used to be complimentary in almost all restaurants. I asked her how much it was. Again, this was a side of sour cream, which would have been the same volume as 3 or 4 hot sauce packets, which happens to be free. She said the total for the side of sour cream was $1.73 plus tax.(About $2.00 total.) Finding that out ruined my meal straight to the toilet.

    I don't know man......"greedflation" isn't really a thing
This is just plain simple inflation...…inflation is strictly the increase in the amount of money in circulation. The only entity responsible for that is the Federal Reserve via lower interest rates, lower banking reserve requirements, and quantitative easing.
Wendy's, like all other stores, is FORCED to raise prices at some point simply because the USD is losing purchasing power. Wendy's costs are sky rocketing. The price of beef, flour, potatoes, rent, and labor is going through the roof thanks to the FED. If they fail to increase their prices in some manner they will be forced to shut down.
Also another reason to buy back shares is to get ahead of an anticipated share price increase. Its pretty clear that the FED is going to slash rates down to 1-2% (instead of the current 5.5%).This is going to turbo charge inflation to a unbelievably high degree. So ALL stock prices are expected to rise simply because they are priced in a declining USD.
Its better for a company to have less cash reserves and more shares since the future value of the cash will be far less than the current price of its equivalent amount of shares.

This was bound to happen at some point, just takes a couple companies to put their toes in the water and you can bet the others will dive right in when they see it work. The irony is that fast food is now just as expensive as going to Dennys for example, except Dennys actually has better food. For a business model that was built around affordability and volume they are getting half their formula for success wrong.

@@ClarenceJBoddicker1987 Honestly it just has to pass the proof of concept. Maximizing efficiency at peak hours while also maximizing profits during the same time. Once that is shown even marginally then others will jump in and expand its efficiency and the consumer is left with no option except to not go to stores using this system. Of course fast food is such a staple that people will cry and moan on social media but after a couple weeks sales will be right back to where they were and this will be the new standard and it will spread past fast food.

@@PuffinPassWendy's has competition though. If Wendy's slop costs more than A&W slop or MacDonald's slop at noon the consumers will go with the cheaper option. I have seen it already with my coworkers, they have all switched to A&W because of the coupon program they instituted here in Canada for their popular trios.

      @PuffinPass 6 місяців тому

@@ClarenceJBoddicker1987 If it is shown to increase profit margin by even 1% or has the potential to then the others will follow suit and there will be no choice. A place like McDs with infinite time and resources will figure out how to maximize the program to its fullest. Everyone said that nobody would install a fast food companies app on their phone, and yet here we are in a spot where the McDs app on android has 50m+ installs, Taco Bell with 10m installs and so on. There is money to be made so it will happen and people will complain for a month and move on like it was always normal. Of course subversion is always an option, time your purchases at below peak pricing and monitor when peak prices change. Eventually it could screw up their algorithm enough to make it useless, but I doubt enough people would actually do that for long enough to have a real effect on it sadly.

The funny thing taco bell does now is charge you 2x more for cantina items. For example: if you used to buy a chipotle chicken ranch burrito for 2$ or a little more it got removed recently and turned into the cantina chicken burrito. The cantina chicken burrito is the exact same thing but with cabbage now and they want you to pay 5-5.99 for just the burrito which is not loaded with any extra. Watch yourself if you do find yourself eating at these places frequently how they disguise a price increase.

The problem is not the pricing. The problem is not the customer is the problem is the employees. The employees don’t let somebody start an order until they’re ready to take a new order and get them out of the line in less than two minutes if they can’t do that they get penalized, so Wendy’s corporate believes that the problem is too many people trying to buy too much food at the same time making long lines and making everybody angry. But the real reason is the workers are gaming the system so it doesn’t make it look like they’re bad. It makes it look like the customers are bad.

It could work if they present it to the customer in the right way. If the menu displays the price of a burger consistently and without changing throughout the day, but also displays a box next to it containing the percent discount due to the time of day, customers may accept that. But if the price simply changes throughout the day, they will screw themselves.

One reason McDonalds has more people using it's app is when you walk inside you find ordering kiosks instead of people working the counters. You have little option but to use their app when they're busy as they're not concentrating on walk in customers. Taco bell is doing the same and their food has always been garbage, but used to be better garbage then it is now.
As for Wendy's, I'll only eat there when I have coupons, which of course when sent out are only good for a short time. As "fast food" has gotten so expensive over the last couple years (Thanks Brandon!) I hardly go anymore anyway as for the same money I can get vastly better food from local Mexican places, and nicer service as well.

I think of how formerly Amazon and currently TEMU operate at a loss (temporarily, selectively) to get you addicted. These fast food companies have the coffers to lean into this stuff, then just reinvest the leftovers into their own stock. Also a $1 burger will cause a lot of people to order a $3.19 drink so they don't even operate a loss lol

Cooking your own food and grocery shopping, while they do truly take a long struggle to build good habits, is not as hard as it might seem. I went from eating fast food every single day to completely ending it. I know it might seem like a ton of work but I feel better afterwards. Fast food is a form of poison sucking your energy and real food will fill up your reserves and give you more energy even after cooking it. Especially if you really meal plan or even just cook several meals at once and reheat some throughout the week.
