George is a walking cultural encyclopedia. He never lectures you, he never talks down to you, he is an amazing storyteller and teacher. He certainly has adapted to the new selling environment. The only way to get a handle on studio stoneware pieces is to research every big and little art show vendor’s records, if they even still exist, and then work backwards through communities. What a Task!
Guess what I got for Christmas!!! My daughter and granddaughter are going to take me to visit your shop in Vegas!!! Around in March !, I’m so happy I’m flying !! Never thought I’d get to visit your store !!!!! Yahoo Yahoo! WOW !
OMGosh, I have heard you talk about George but never ventured over. My boyfriend was giving me a good-natured poke about my hours spent watching you tube. And now I meet George! Wow! I love your storyteller style. You are truly amazing George! Danni thank you for giving this gift to us, even though I know he was a double shot gift for you!
I could spend hours and hours listening and learning from George. He is really the most amazing guy. I’m 65 and I don’t think I have ever met anyone that has the gift of making me want to learn more and more and more.
Nadolig Llawen Danni and George, and Tiffany.. .Won’t be watching this until later, it’s ( Christmas Day) It’s actually 2.15 am now. Time to sleep now ,up early as my son and youngest are coming at 10 am to open their presents. Then off to see my middle daughter and my grandchildren laden with their presents. Having Christmas dinner with them. Hope you all have a blessed Christmas. From me and Molly moo in yet another wet and windy day here in Wales 🏴 xxxx
What a wonderful day you must have had, Aldwyth! I'm out to survey and make sure the house survived the high winds we had and see the sun for the first time in days! Hope you and Molly Moo enjoy what's left of Christmas!
Fun and too much to learn! It scares me when I listen to George!! He’s a fount of knowledge that’s for sure. Danni I really enjoy your tour of the “shop”. I pray that good things come to you. You’re helping others and selling fairly! That’s wonderful.
Hi Danni. I really like your videos. But I have to say...I used to work at Syroco in the early 80's and the items like the bird statues were all made of molded plastic. I used to paint them to make them look antiqued. And I also sprayed a clear coat on them and put the big racks into the ovens to dry. Just a little info. By the way I love your new store.
Love watch you 3 together!! So cool!! Love George!! He is so knowledgeable!! I’ve seen him with Jocelyn!! Nice man!! You got a lot of great things!! Love you and your channel my friend!! God bless you all!! Much love!! 🥰🥰🌺🌺💖💖😊😊💕💕💜💜💙💙💚💚❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🦜🦜🦜🦜🐢🐢🐢🐢
Wonderful shopping trip. I loved your message at the end. So few have mentioned the true meaning for this day. Jesus, I always appreciate how you do refer to Him in your conversations. Peace for you and your beautiful family this season!
YES TRACY! IT WAS A SHOCK THAT DANI KNOWS JESUS! I ALWAYS WONDERED WHY RACHEL, NOAH AND JORDAN ARE BIBLICAL NAMES! AND THAT SHE SENT HER KIDS TO A CHRISTIAN CAMP, DID YOU KNOW THAT??? HALLELUJAH!!! 🙏❤️👍🌲
Great video! Love hearing you and George’s discussions. Wow, the blue pottery piece you looked at it beautiful. And great price of $25. And the orange treasure craft is so vibrant!
I have signed pieces that my grandmother made in ceramic class. I keep them in places around the house where I can see them often because they spark joy!
Those watermelon vases were a special Teleflora vase 15-20 years ago for either Valentine's Day or Mother's Day. They cost us 30.00 each wholesale. I love my watermelon vase. It is one of my favorite vases I own.
Thank you for another fun and educational video! It was very nostalgic with the miracle whip picnic set. We had one when I was a kid and ours had the exact same stainless containers inside.
Yes! Carnival glass aspired to add a Tiffany-like metallic sheen to production pattern glass in the 1900-1920 era, but by the end that style was fading...thus the wholesaling of later production to carnivals began.
I wish you could show some of the dolls. I know you don’t like them, but I’m sure I’m not the only doll collector. 🥰❤️Variety is the spice of life. So cool you are shopping with George. Thanks for sharing❤️ Merry Christmas Eve🥰❤️🙏🏻
I love dolls! I'm just a snob about older dolls rather than reproductions and look-alikes, which are perfectly sweet and cute...it just didn't impress me that they were all very recent vintage in an antique mall, thus my guffaw at the "nightmare" comment. I have a very nice 1910s doll in an appraisal fair video I plan to release on my channel next week!
Thanks, I agree the new porcelain are worthless, but I’m sure there are vintage that might be shown. I like the 50’s, 60’s when I was growing up, but I mostly collect old German dolls now. Hope to get see some sometime on your videos.
OMG Dani. i watched a video from a channel called, NJShoreBeachLife they have videos of goodwill shops and i was in shock. the first thing i thought of was you and how much money you could make off this store alone.if you go see there videos make sure they say Goodwill in the opening title. youll be shocked at the price's,
The peacock is one of a set of two. The second one stands horizontal to the ground. How do I know? I found them/bought them at Goodwill Bins store in Iowa!
Hi Sandra and Merry Christmas! I had a thought on those ivory pieces. I think the piece with the jump ring was a pendant and the other was an earring by looking at the holes. The earring has a smaller hole for the wire and the other piece has a bigger hole to accommodate the larger jump ring. I could be wrong. Either way....cool pieces. Fun video. Thank you!
It was fun watching your video and then watching George’s video lol I would be very excited to meet him also and I definitely would be asking him the value of a couple pieces I have lol
What a great video with you all. Very nice plates and glass. Loved the carnival glass with the cobalt bottom. Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful family, animals and friends.
When I use to go to the Hillsbough show in the bay area 25 yrs r more ago the dealers had thousands of antique carnival glass some in the high hundreds if not higher. That stuff there was amazing but many dealers died
Did you know that you can buy battery operated fake candles even from the dollar store. They even come in Christmas colours. At least here in Canada. The "flame" actually flickers like a real candle. Just a thought, they don't smell, come in many sizes and you would have the look of flickering candles at least.

I love you so much George!
My grandfather worked for Oscar Mayer for years and as a child I was able to sit in an actual weenie mobile. He would often bring me weenie whistles 😁
I lived in Madison WI for 10 yrs. Still jave a weenie whistle somewhere! 🙂

Oh if we all had a George, or just 1/4 of his brain capacity. He is truly amazing, blows my mind the amount of info he knows and always remembers!
I have the pair of those birds. The ones you looked at first. I had no idea they were wood.
You found just amazing items! George is very knowledgeable. I do think the fused glass lamps were beautiful
I hope you and George meet again. I love you both. 👍🏻😊👋🏻
Thank you so much! We intend to do
This was a fun video! So much knowledge & beautiful items! I'm excited for part 2!
Merry Christmas!
What a thrill having George come to town. That Pyrex would go for about $100 in Australia on Etsy,
Merry Christmas Danni, Jordan,Noah and Rachel! XOXO
Thanks, Danni, for clarify about carnival glass being sold to carnivals for prizes. I always wondered why they called it that.
Yes! Carnival glass aspired to add a Tiffany-like metallic sheen to production pattern glass in the 1900-1920 era, but by the end that style was fading...thus the wholesaling of later production to carnivals began.
fantastic vid, Dani
I like how you called yourself a glass snob. That is how I fe l about old glass.
Me too! There's so many wonderful older pieces up for adoption that I don't see the point in shipping boxloads of new import glass here

The Reef book! So gorgeous. Great find especially for the price.
I saw it and knew she'd spot it right away! I didn't even have to point it out
This was a fascinating learning experience! So much history and so much better than reading a book. Don’t get me wrong; I love books😊
Merry Christmas to you and your family. George is amazing - with his knowledge. Quite impressive that he wrote a book.
I'm so pleased that you picked up the clay Nativity. An interesting addition to your collection. Merry Christmas.

Oh my goodness! I loved the nativity sets and the pink dish with the silver base!! Merry Christmas 🎄
The peachblow Victorian bowl on stand was a great find for the price! That would've likely held calling cards in an 1890s parlor
@@TheAntiqueNomad thanks for the information. It’s so hard to believe that piece has survived all these years!! Beautiful ❤

Fonso is probably short for Alfonso.
De means "from", so "de Puebla" means from the town/city of Puebla, likely México
I want to be like George! To have all that knowledge is just amazing.
I looked up those fused glass panels. Came up on ebay as Ikea $95. Loved the video!
