This is good, Reservists deploy just as much as active during war time. Soldiers always need to know the basic soldiering skills no matter status, rank, mos, or in peacetime. Always ready!
When was the last time anyone in the Army Reserve was issued a grenade or carried one on a mission? The Reserves can't get on the firing range enough, how can they get on a grenade range?
@@themarker6 I think they were implying the very rigid structure of the training. Place thumb in the ring to the first knuckle. Point non-throwing hand at the enemy. Observe the enemy before pulling the pin. Hold the grenade at chest level. Etc. Real life scenarios are much more fluid and combatants can often find themselves improvising some unique ways of using their gear.

Yeah but they have to teach you somehow and it is best to learn the safest/most consistent way first.
This guy probably would throw exactly like that in combat. I get the feeling he wouldn’t last too long.
