Looking fab. I think Alex has been a real “next level” breakthrough for you. The Howden way with Cam has set you up well but having Alex ride Banks while you were away and now training you has turned you both into class acts. I can’t wait to see you fly round Badders 😊

So chuffed that you were able to get another lesson in with Alex. You just have to remember, keep that CHANNEL!! It helps Banksey and you both keep your balance perfect for your jumps. And I know you can do it!! I have every faith that you can achieve your goals. Keep your head up, look for the next jump, keep that channel and hands forward, and all will be well, Tina!! Love Alex he’s brilliant! I did the Intermediate masters at Rockingham on my old mare Athena, I wasn’t sure where to jump the big table in order to get to the skinny. Thankfully Alex was there telling someone else how to ride it so I did that 😂 had the perfect line 😅 Well done great lesson xx

Tina, both you and Banksey are looking really fit and settled! It looks like the dynamic duo is well and truly ready for Badders! I love your focus on the details of saddle, head collar et. al. Often those items get lost in the run up to big events and then cause issues at the time. Can’t wait to see how everything goes in the next month and the outcome of your trip to Badminton! It really has all come together with Alex. Have really enjoyed the lessons with him. The difference with just a few lessons for you and Banksy while small adjustments has made a big positive change. Well done to both of you! You guys are going to eat Badminton up!
Not meaning to be rude to you or Alex, his training re hands forward, elbows in, head up is really rammed home in Lucinda”s training demos re all of that plus toes straight, heels right down, weight over your heels makes for perfection. Go girl go. ❤️

We have always used any old headcollar but never ever tie up to anything but very thin string which breaks easily . I do so agree with the safety issue.

Wow. What a brilliant vlog!
Alex is such a brilliant trainer isn’t he. Watching this it is so clear what he is seeing and what he is asking of you and the effect that his instruction points make on your position which in turn totally changes the horse’s movement, balance etc. Just fascinating to watch. I do hope you find time to watch and rewatch to see what we see, what Alex is saying and the difference those points make. Just a wonderful progress in motion. I have to add that I love your relationship with your horse and Banksy is in just an incredible condition. Well done all round for your dedication and your prep and I truly wish you a brilliant Badders.

I agree w/the fellow fan, that Cam's teachings were a great start, but now just working one on one w/Alex, who's ridden & jumped Sir Bansky, was a grand decision for 'Badders & future eventing trials to your other "personal goals"(which I hope you know you don't have to share w/all). After all, as everyone knows & should respect, the latter goals are as stated: "personal"😉

Question: did Lucy introduce the semi-new Swiss-UK app (out Sept-Oct'2023): RIDESUM, which analyzes the rider's biomechanics (tech word for: seat/body/hands position 😂) The app then recommends what things can be done to strengthen any weak areas, etc.
And don't worry, it can even tell you the % you, well Banksy's head 🐴, where he may of been ahead, behind to spot'on vertical.
Yet check w/Lucy. I saw her showing the app to Meg 1-2d ago.

I make the decision on what to trailer in knowing risks and benefits. A good knife is a must if you do use a non leather halter. It's almost always at least breakaway. Sometimes it's not. I won't give specific examples because if you don't know them you shouldn't even consider it.

Great session with Alex. I really like his way of teaching. Perhaps you need to have a cheat sheet to read through before the SJ round.....words like elbows, hands together, balance, look up etc.... I'm getting excited to see the vlogs from you and the other girls I follow on here. It will be a busy viewing time.
