For me, it’s on the expensive side considering you were alone. What’s important is you enjoyed your time there and that you can afford it. Personally, when I was single, I would save on accommodation kasi tutulugan lang naman but when I had kids, priority ko ang comfort nila so with a tipid mindset susuyurin ko lahat ng booking sites for the most comfortable looking place at the cheapest cost na ok naman din ang location. Looking forward to your next series! 🎉❤
Hello! Even though I’m a solo traveler, I sometimes go for higher-end hotels based on my personal preference and to show options for those seeking comfort, like our audience na families. Next time in South Korea, I’ll try more budget-friendly places for balance! 🤗🖤

Hi Ivan! I finished all your SK Vlogs. Very detailed at informative ang mga shinare mo. Buong family ko naka subscribe sayo. 😀Mejo expensive talaga sa SK, went last Oct 2023 - We're a family of 4. 10days kami pero kulang pa kaya we're going back ngayong Dec. Honestly, if you've got the money to spend on a trip like that then, it's not expensive. For someone going for the first time and wanting the best experience, it's worth it. Sure, you can find ways to save money, but for me, it's all about the experience. Plus, just like you, when we travel, we always look for a comfy hotel. I can't stand the idea of "You're just going to sleep there." You need to think about your safety and keeping your stuff secure too. I love your Korea vlogs, Ivan! My friend and I are planning to apply for a visa soon, and we're really hoping it gets approved. We'll use your tips and recommendations when we visit next year. Well mahal talaga sa Korea to begin with, so kaya nga hindi lahat inaapruban yung visa application ng mga 10-20k lang ang laman ng savings. You really need money to spend para bigyan ka nila ng visa. That said, lets also remember na yung stay ni Ivan was for 15 days. Most of us naman ay hindi naman aabot ng 1 week, mga 5 days lang max. So I would suggest na mag-ipon if balak talaga mag Korea, because hindi biro ang gagastusin mo.
Hello Ivan. You as a solo traveller have already experienced going to many Asian countries. All of it if I am not mistaken so that is already a great chance for you to be granted a visa to other countries like the US, Canada, Europe etc. And being a vlogger/content creator is a bonus😊
Thank you for sharing your SK travel with us. Gusto ko nung una magpunta ng SK, pero simula nung nakabalita ako how racist some south koreans are, ayoko na tuloy. Japanese for the win! 🎉🎉🎉
(To answer your question to us viewers) Yes, your trip is on the expensive side 😅 BUT it is super worth it!!! I fully watched every SK video of yours kaya that’s my verdict 😄 130k+, 4 cities (seoul, gangwon everland, busan & gyeongju) and paid activities/tours pa sulit na sulit. I think most of the first timers in SK really spent beyond their projected expense, but at least diba we will learn na the hacks for a budget trip sa susunod 😅 My first SK trip in 2023 I also spent 6 digits for a 16-day trip partida Seoul lang ako nun and walang booked tours 🥲 pero okay lang super saya ko naman & natuto na ako ng travel hacks that would suit my lifestyle 😅 This year I went to SK 3x and budget travels na pero nag-enjoy pa rin. 😊
@ Good luck to your next trips outside Asia according to the goals you are reaching for yourself 😊 I really love what you said in your very first SK video na SK ang hudyat ng paglabas mo ng Asya, go for it! Kakainspire 😊 Travel safe!
thanks Ivan for a very detailed breakdown of your expense, very helpful! feeling ko nga mahal talaga ang SEOUL vs JAPAN, if ever ba mas mahal pa din ba ang SEOUL vs SINGAPORE? what is your take on this?
I loved your South Korea series! The way you broke down each step was so easy to follow, super helpful lalo na sa gaya ko na hindi pa nakakarating sa lugar na yun. Thank you for taking the time to make such useful and entertaining content, can’t wait for more!😊🤙
Eme!! Super love your vlogssss! Adik na kami ni mama kakapanuod sayo. :) We are going to Seoul & Busan this December. Very helpful ang vlogs mo po!
In my opinion, medyo mahal po yung trip but i think nasulit mo naman and nag enjoy ka based sa mga napanuod ko na episodes so keri na. That's all that matters :) For first timers na very adventurous and into DIY trip, I highly suggest na i-DIY ninyo yung ibang attractions. We did DIY most of the time nung nagpunta kami sa Korea and mas makakatipid po talaga in terms of money expenses but of course, time and energy yung kapalit niya. We only booked tours na super layo sa city na pinag-stay-an and mahirap i-commute. Focus na rin yung trips ninyo if DIY especially if within the city naman, kasi yung mga gusto niyo lang puntahan yung pupuntahan ninyo--so in a way, marereserve rin naman yung time and energy into something much important. Yun lang, thanks! haha
I agree. For this South Korea trip, I prioritized convenience along with the value of experience and comfort. Don’t worry, in the remaining travel series I’ll be posting this year, most of it will be DIY. I plan to book fewer day tours and explore more on my own. 🤗
@ Yeah you paid for comfort kaya okay na rin yan! Importante naman to every travel is nag enjoy. ✨ Abangan ko your next trips! And soon sana matuloy ka sa Jeju in the future! Isa ka sa mga fave travel vlogger ko kasi very detailed lahat kaya I will look forward to your Jeju trip para may matutunan rin ako. Good luck, Ivan!
Hi Ivan it’s me sana naalala mo ko haha I went to SK 2020 (right before lockdown) and my expense for 8 days lumalabas na 6,500 per day including flight, airbnb, klook, and pocket money. If I divide yours, nasa 8.8k per day for 15 days. Given the inflation, I think your expense is just enough. I haven’t stayed pa at Busan, but maybe meron pang cheaper hotel. I recommend naman na you stay next time sa Hongdae. More affordable than Myeongdong but stil accesible. It’s true na mahal sa SK talaga lalo if solo traveller. 😊
As a budget traveler, mej expensive sya for me :D But if naenjoy mo, keri na yan kase 15days naman #sanaall -from a corporate girlie with XX no. Of VL credits 😂
For me okay na ang 130k plus for 15 days. Mahal ang korea. Ive been here since april. Ok nmn. Kung matipid ka u can spend lesser than 130k pero dahil nasa beach front nga po ang hotel sa busan worth it na yung bayad. Btw if ever po pupunta ka dito ng summer pls come to Gangneung thats in gangwondo.. do means province..may summer party sila and para siyang summerfrolic sa pinas na tanggap lahat.. 😂 naloka nmn ako sa expectations mo. Mukha ka ngang korean eh. 😅 btw i enjoyed all ur korean vlog. Nauna si jm.😊 cheers to more travels Ivan❤
in exchange of convenience, mura na rin yan. malaki factor is accom based sa breakdown mo almost 50%. others can opt to choose hostel, via share dorm na around 1k per night.
@ivandeguzman yep most solo traveller din sa atin is nandun sa budget friendly side yet not sacrificing yung essentials and comfortability. :) other options to save money rin, in this case sa recent trip , return trip can be busan to clark. kasi sa oanahon ngayon, kahit piso fare na rin talaga na hindi naka flexi, mahal na rin. cheapest fare i book with cebpac way back 2014 is manila-dubai-manila around 1,200 RT na.
Appreciate this kind of video. I wonder for 8 days trip and most of the time will be using train as transpo, how much will I need for t money? Excited on my incoming trip. Thank you! 😊
Me naka experience ng discrimination sa sa Korea. yung crew sa everland very nice cya sa ibang people, then nung ako na sasakay sa ride, nagchange ang demeanor nya and then ang sungit nya na sakin.
Currently here sa Myeongdong now. I agree, ang pangit ng google map and naver dito. Parang auto translate si Naver and yung time is not that accurate 😅🥹
I think ok na din sya for all the activities that you've done. Been to Japan last May and stayed there for 10days almost 88k na din nagastos ko haha what more if 15days pa 😂
mahal talaga ang SK, this is tipid already for me, i like this budget already provided all the activities, tours and places…. pag.ako siguro baka more pa LOL hehheheehehehe THIS IS UNDERSTANDABLE 👍👍👍👍👍 ***paghindi afford, wag magSK, LOL 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 Thanks Ivan na noon hindi gustong pumunta sa SK… buti nlng nagchange ang mind. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
@@ivandeguzman aw k, all the best Ivan, inspiration ko ang travels mo, following/going to some of your places soonest 😊😊😊😊😊 cheers to more travels 👍👍👍👍👍
For someone who is not exposed to Kpop and Kdrama, I'ld rather spend my 132k back to Japan. I just had my 13-day solo trip to Osaka then bullet train to Tokyo with 2 days side trip in Kyoto and Nara. Bang for one's buck! So sa mag namimili, mas okay mauna ang Japan.
In fairness I also came back from Korea (Seoul and Suwon only Oct 17-23) and I also did not expect racism. Madaming stations walang escalator. Kaya sa airport di rin ako nag AREX nag limousine bus ako both from and to the airport. Mas mahal pero very comfy since they put the luggage sa compartment sa baba. Koreans are pretty good in English (compared to Japan especially) except really old people. Yes sa resto need mo mag pay for 2 especially for Korean BBQ. And biggest realization sa Korea vs Japan. Mas mura and I mean way mas mura ang transportation. Just 20K won for 7 days use e kada bus 1500 na and subway 1400 kada ride so 7 days unlimited super sulit.
I really appreciate this comment-very insightful! 1. Yes, I mentioned it in my earlier vlogs about the stations without escalators. That was my first impression of the Seoul subways. 2. Hahaha! 3. Opinion ko lang po ito, pero parang mas namahalan ako sa Korea when it comes to shopping kumpara sa Japan. Hehe! 4. Next time, I’ll try it for sure. I always see you sa comments. See you soon! 🫶🏻
Hi Ivan, can you vlog about a place or country without using klook? Kasi others would like to see you doing it via DIY talaga. I noticed that most of your vlogs uses klook, I understand you're part of the kreator program, but hopefully we can watch your succeeding travel series without klook or minimal usage of it. thanks
Hello Ms. Rose, Thank you for this comment! I completely understand your concern. For this trip, I prioritized convenience and comfort, especially since the itinerary is for first-time SoKor travelers. Let me explain a few things: 1. When buying eSIMs, theme park tickets, and more, I’ve always used Klook-even before joining the Kreator program, as you’ll see in my first few vlogs (pre-pandemic era) on this channel. 2. I chose to book a Nami Island day tour because doing it DIY would take too much time with all the commuting. I wanted to visit Nami Island, Rail Park, Garden of Morning Calm, Petite France, and Italian Village all in one day. If I did it myself, I’d probably only get to 2-3 spots in a day with travel time and breaks. Booking a tour helps me make the most of my day. Same scenario with Busan One Day Tour & Gyeongju (too far din from Busan). Plus, the DMZ Tour is too much hassle to do DIY because of the checkpoints where the military checks documents and other things. 3. For places like CoEx Aquarium, Spa Land, and Busan X The Sky Admission, I always show the walk-in prices compared to Klook prices in my vlogs, both before and after applying any promo code discounts. I want to show that walk-in tickets are often more expensive than booking online. I always do this for transparency purposes. 4. As for future trips, yes, I’ll be doing more DIYs! I’m making sure the vlogs are balanced because I also want to consider our viewers who are on a budget. Thank you for always supporting my vlogs! I really really appreciate it. More travel vlogs are coming ahead 😊🫶🏻✈️
omg! Thank you Ivan for addressing this. All the more reasons on why we should support you. I agree about the convenience. I can see a lot of travel vloggers utilizing klook, which is not a bad thing, however, a little bit of variety is good too. A lot of us are looking forward for your next adventure and I’m so excited for when you finally go to EU. 😁
Hi! I find your SK trip too pricey. My daughter and I went there last June. We spent 9 days there. (June 22-26 Seoul, June 26-28 Busan, then back to Seoul from June 28-30.) We visited most of the places that you visited. We missed Everland though. We were two yet we spent 85K including our airfare. Maybe, what helped me was that i watched a lot of vlogs that could help us spend less before we finally went there. Your hotels are expensive. Anyways, as you have said, you dont have any regrets. More travels and vlogs to come. Godspeed.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Anyway, no regrets! I just wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts and experiences too. Next time, BUDGET version SoKor naman!! Hehehe
Saktuhan lang nagastos mo for 15 days Ivan. I thinj makakamura ka kung DSP yong nagamit mo sa mga klook activities, pero disadvantage din kasi yong time limit.
Yes po, I’m balancing my travels-if I go mid now, I’ll do budget next time I visit. Like stated in our channel description, it’s a mix of budget, mid-tier, and luxury travel adventures! 🤗🥰

I loved your South Korea series! The way you broke down each step was so easy to follow, super helpful lalo na sa gaya ko na hindi pa nakakarating sa lugar na yun. Thank you for taking the time to make such useful and entertaining content, can’t wait for more!😊🤙
Salamat po! 🙏 So happy you found it helpful 😊
Thank you for the almost real time SK series, successful!🎉
Daming nahappy 😊 although mahal, excited pa din kami for your next travels and SK vlog 😉
Thank you po!! 🤗🇰🇷
Hello po! Thanks to you po, nalaman po namin paano gagawin kapag dating namin sa incheon since 12am po dating namin dun 🥹🥹🥹
I feel so lucky to have posted this before I leave tomorrow! ❤❤ Thanks, Ivan. I watched all your SK vlogs!
Enjoy your trip!!! 🤗 Malamig na sa SoKor ngayon!! :))
I am really looking forward to this. Thank you. Hopefully sa Japan travels mayroon din. Much appreciated Ivan. Thank you so much
Thank you po! Japan vlogs coming up next! 🖤
Eme!! Super love your vlogssss! Adik na kami ni mama kakapanuod sayo. :)
We are going to Seoul & Busan this December. Very helpful ang vlogs mo po!
Sakto lang din po. And same sentiments, namahalan din me sa South Korea than Japan (even with shopping) 😅
In my opinion, medyo mahal po yung trip but i think nasulit mo naman and nag enjoy ka based sa mga napanuod ko na episodes so keri na. That's all that matters :)
For first timers na very adventurous and into DIY trip, I highly suggest na i-DIY ninyo yung ibang attractions.
Abangan ko your next trips! And soon sana matuloy ka sa Jeju in the future! Isa ka sa mga fave travel vlogger ko kasi very detailed lahat kaya I will look forward to your Jeju trip para may matutunan rin ako. Good luck, Ivan!
For me, sakto lang yung nagasto mo sa South Korea. Sulit. Ganda ng napuntahan mo.
Thank you poooo 🤗
Thank youu for your insights!!! 🫶🏻😊
We cannot compare apples to oranges naman, so yeah mahal kung mahal but if you enjoyed it, that’s worth it!🫶
Tama naman din po!! I just want to hear lang your thoughts hehehe
@@ivandeguzman Love you, Ivan!
As a budget traveler, mej expensive sya for me :D
But if naenjoy mo, keri na yan kase 15days naman #sanaall
-from a corporate girlie with XX no. Of VL credits 😂
For me okay na ang 130k plus for 15 days. Mahal ang korea. Ive been here since april. Ok nmn. Kung matipid ka u can spend lesser than 130k pero dahil nasa beach front nga po ang hotel sa busan worth it na yung bayad. Btw if ever po pupunta ka dito ng summer pls come to Gangneung thats in gangwondo.. do means province..may summer party sila and para siyang summerfrolic sa pinas na tanggap lahat.. 😂 naloka nmn ako sa expectations mo. Mukha ka ngang korean eh. 😅 btw i enjoyed all ur korean vlog. Nauna si jm.😊 cheers to more travels Ivan❤
Thank you so much for recommending the channel to your family!!! I really really appreciate it 🤗
That is a good budget Ivan😊 as you said, kung 2 persons, can split the hotel. 😊
Yonnn!!!
thanks Ivan, very detailed & informative vlog ❤
Salamat po! 🤗
Thank u,Ivan! Big help❤
:))) 💯
Salamat po dito❤
Welcome pooo
Hello po. Your SK travel vlogs are very helpful for our Dec SK trip. Thank you.
Enjoy your December trip! 🤩
in exchange of convenience, mura na rin yan. malaki factor is accom based sa breakdown mo almost 50%. others can opt to choose hostel, via share dorm na around 1k per night.
OMG. Fresh from da shower!!! Manunuod na akeeeetch 😂
🤗
Manifesting SoKor soon ❤
Appreciate this kind of video. I wonder for 8 days trip and most of the time will be using train as transpo, how much will I need for t money? Excited on my incoming trip. Thank you! 😊
Enjoy and ingat!!!
Me naka experience ng discrimination sa sa Korea. yung crew sa everland very nice cya sa ibang people, then nung ako na sasakay sa ride, nagchange ang demeanor nya and then ang sungit nya na sakin.
So sorry that thing happened to you guys!!!
I think the price is just right kasi nasa 10k peso per day talaga dapat budget sa korea. Mahal talaga sa korea kaysa sa japan!
Yeyyyy!!! Thanks for your insights po 🤗💯

Yesssssss!! Wala na muna i-uunlock this year. Next year na ang NEW DESTINATIONS hahahaha
mahal talaga ang SK, this is tipid already for me, i like this budget already provided all the activities, tours and places…. pag.ako siguro baka more pa LOL hehheheehehehe
THIS IS UNDERSTANDABLE 👍👍👍👍👍
***paghindi afford, wag magSK, LOL 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
@@ivandeguzman aw k, all the best Ivan, inspiration ko ang travels mo, following/going to some of your places soonest 😊😊😊😊😊 cheers to more travels 👍👍👍👍👍
Pls visit Machu Picchu, Peru!!!!!!!!! or anywhere sa South America. Bagay sayo young mga adventurous trips :)
Sana maka-japan na rin soon
If may Japan questions po kayo kapag nakapag-desisyon na kayo, let me know lang para I can guide you. 🤗
Hahaha!
3. Opinion ko lang po ito, pero parang mas namahalan ako sa Korea when it comes to shopping kumpara sa Japan. Hehe!
Next time, I’ll try it for sure. 🤗
I always see you sa comments. See you soon! 🫶🏻
Hi Ivan, can you vlog about a place or country without using klook? Kasi others would like to see you doing it via DIY talaga. I noticed that most of your vlogs uses klook, I understand you're part of the kreator program, but hopefully we can watch your succeeding travel series without klook or minimal usage of it. thanks
Hello Ms. Rose,
Thank you for this comment! I completely understand your concern. For this trip, I prioritized convenience and comfort, especially since the itinerary is for first-time SoKor travelers. Let me explain a few things:
Nice and Noted ✅😊
Thank you for watching! 🙏
Kami last autumn (with my wife and 2 years old toddler) 5 days stay sa seoul 200k nagastos namin 😂
Wahhhh!!
Thank you poooo :))
Daegu and Jeju ... sama ako ehehehe ❤
🤗🤗🤗
Hi Ivan!
Anyway, no regrets! I just wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts and experiences too.
Next time, BUDGET version SoKor naman!! Hehehe
Saktuhan lang nagastos mo for 15 days Ivan. I thinj makakamura ka kung DSP yong nagamit mo sa mga klook activities, pero disadvantage din kasi yong time limit.
Ano po yung DSP? 😅
@ivandeguzman discover seoul pass, Ivan. 😂
First❤❤
🤗🤗🤗🤗
Expensiveeee
I'd say mahal sya for a solo travel. I was able to travel Europe for a month with 250k pesos budget
Dko kinaya expenses. Sana next travel mo dto budgetarian
Yes po, I’m balancing my travels-if I go mid now, I’ll do budget next time I visit. Like stated in our channel description, it’s a mix of budget, mid-tier, and luxury travel adventures! 🤗🥰
Wala akong 132k beh 😅
ipon pa more. kaya yan pero next yr pa ang trip hehehe
Love it❤❤❤ super worth it ang gastos❤❤❤❤ why mababawi mo naman din yarn ang importante nag enjoy ka ❤❤❤❤
