This band was sensational when they realeased their first album, those songs are so rich and makes me dance and scream so much. I wish I could be there at that time, in that crowd, no phones in the air, just pure enjoyment of life and incredible music, sad to see how things have changed.
This should be an anthem to a whole new generation!!

Their debut album is so seminal. It deserves far more recognition than it gets, it must be up there with the greatest albums of the 00's. This song in particular is mega, it will stand the test of time, alot more than you can say for alot of music of late. Keep on

Yeah, I dunno why compare to Muse. The only similarity these two bands have is they make atmospheric psychedelic music. But one is hard rock, guitar/bass based version another is soothing/easy listening.
Why compare them to muse?

they're not as good live as i expected, but hey, there's time for them to improve the quality. i mean, placebo, for example, were a fucking mess live back in 1996 (and don't hit me, i am a placebo fan, a big one actually). this sort of things takes time, i guess.
yea in all, there really isnt anything to brag about when it comes to drugs except the epic experiences which is what its all about... I'm not out to boast weed i just like mentioning it cuz its another way to connect wit ppl and find common similarities.
but yeah, I've only smoked weed so far and got drunk maybe 3 times in my life in which i wasnt even completely smashed. I have found drug users that are scum and shitheads and some that are cool and wicked chill, thats who i was reffering to

And Mgmt have said in interviews that they experiment with drugs, but dont want to take that many, because they want to have long lives and dont want to be controled by drugs.

MGMT seem to label themselves as drug users since its in thier music video, but ur statement seems to lack proof since u probably dont do shit with your life but listen to music made by people that "just sit around talking about things while failing to acquire skills"
They just don't sound great, they sound better on record (which is NOT the case with all bands, many sound far better live, which in my opinion is how it should be). On top of that they completely lack any sort of presence that makes me want to continue watching - I'm bored, and that's bad. Watch a band like The Dresden Dolls or Devotcka live - they have incredible presence.
Stoners aren't very cool. They just sit around talking about things while failing to acquire skills. Anyone that labels their self a drug user obviously has a weak personal brand/nothing better to share with the world. Drugs aren't all bad, but idiots/kids on drugs can be a powerful recipe for failure. And your line of logic is flawed beyond reason.
