Our biases and perception lead us to believe that old monk is much superior to desi daru which is not the case . The price is different due to different tax brackets. To be true a good quality country liquor made and supervised by Government officials and if they adhere to government rules and regulations, some of the country liquor available, especially in Mumbai are much better than some of the IMFL and if drunk in moderation, they do not give you hangover plus you do not feel nauseous .Some of the Distilleries producing IMFL purchase the base spirit from Country Liquor Manufacturers . Alcohol kabhi bhi enjoy karne k liye nahi peena chahiye. Alcohol is a tonic as well as as a poison.
