when you say BAD, whaddya mean exactly. Most critics contend that aside from certain instances, what local news is best at delivering is traffic, weather and sports. Other wise news coverage can be dubious. If you mean dab in terms of anchors, then that's all a matter of taste.
wow i cant believe he said that stuff in the beginning of the newscast! now a days if a newsanchor says that they would be OFF AND FIRED! but then again i do agree with what he said!
@oldnwsguy I'm a 50 yo Detroit native now living in Denver, I laugh like hell about the battles between Bill and Coleman Young. Many of us in the black community had respect for Bonds because he was a street fighter- Meaning, he didn't back down from political intimidation and he was a straight shooter and had a heart for the city of Detroit. I still wonder who would've won the boxing match between him and Coleman Young - They both boxed a little in the Air Force. Lol
The person under the username robatsea may have it. The one from WJBK in the early 1980's with Robbie Timmons when she used to be at WJBK's news prior to her days at channel 7. I think he should because he has the WJBK newsbreak from December 1979 with a Highland Appliance commercial.
RIP Bill Bonds. You were a Detroit legend.
wow Just seeing that Into makes me feel like I'm 11 again.
Indeed. Amen bro.
Bill Bonds is back on the radio in Detroit with Rich Fisher and Rachel Navada. Monday through Friday 3 to 6pm on WCAR am1090

Detroit's local news always stellar - so much better than the sh*t they throw up in LA

The set changed in 1991 not 1993.
They meant first news team, due to their #1 ratings status! Don't hate 7!
Lol...That's a great line in response!
@Leafblower29 it does lol
then they needed to say Detroit's #1 news team instead of that.
I mean what difference does it really make. First newsteam, #1 news team! I don't think they really cared! They know their #1 and that what matter!
Robbie Timmons is mad because Bill reeks of cheap wine.
@mujinnokoya doesnt Bill Bonds always reek of Cheap Wine?! LOL
I don't think Bill Bonds ever wore a good toupee.
I wonder what Saddam's up to... hm. oh well.
