@@ELLIOT8209 I don't offer any classes for this kind of thing at the moment. Sorry! I have some courses on music theory/composition but not production. Maybe soon...
@@ELLIOT8209 Haha, that's one kind of a video I don't want to make. Sorry! You can usually find tutorials for that stuff on the plugin developer's website, or the iLok website, or UA-cam. Have you looked?
This is a brilliant edit of a superb 2 hour stream. For the uninitiated, Max creates all types of music, live, every week. If you get chance be sure to check him out!
A "side chain input" is a secondary input on some processor, such as a compressor. In this case, it means you can have a compressor (which changes the volume of something based on some kind of input) react to the kick drums but lower the volume on everything else. This creates the pumping effect where everything ducks in volume everytime the kick hits.
An electronic musician, theory nerd, and Studio One user all in one? My prayers have been answered.
Ha! Exactly 🙌
YES

Happy you like it!
Cool Max, really good idea to make a stream highlight
👌👌👌
this is what I wanted, sometimes it’s impossible to see more than 1 hour of live, thanks bro 😁
Hooray! 🙌
@@maxkonyi this is exactly the kind of beats I live for. Don't you offer classes or something?

@@maxkonyi at least make a video on how to use iLok plugin manager. From installation to actual use. It's confusing as hell for me

Thanks Amit ✨

So good 🤘❤👍

What exactly do you "side chain" to get that pumping sound?
I'm definitely no mixing engineer so I have zero idea about side chains

@@maxkonyithank you for this. Is sidechaining the same thing as adding a bus? 😊
@@derekdelucia1143 nope! a bus is a track with combines the audio from many channels into one
