I've never heard this lullaby before, although I've been listening to Billy Joel for decades. What a beautiful, moving song. Thank you for posting these.
I also just recently discovered "lullaby", listened to it in 2020. Wow... to listen to "lullaby" during the pandemic knowing that thousands upon thousands globally are grieving and needing to know that their loved ones will continue on in their hearts. Of course the listener must weep. This is the proof that much of Billy Joel's music is classic, because it resonates so profoundly more than 20 years after it was written.
many thanks to 'billyjoelforever' for posting these downloads - they are just fantastic! billy joel is just the master - outstounding talent - love him x
Man, if felt like such a heart felt performance. Perhaps my favourite rendition by him of this song, even though I guess he took a break. He didn't want these talks to turn into karokee play this one play that one I don't think And it didn't feel like he wanted to do the song on that day. But he did it. And he finished it.
It's a great series of videos when it comes to the music. I'm a big fan of BIlly Joel. However, why was the information editied out? I mean all that 'information' about the music industry that he talks about in the first part.
yeah I was wondering that myself...this series (on youtube) was great, but it was mostly him playing some songs and some anecdotes etc and that's great...but where's the "information" about writing/etc? where's the "masterclass?" I didn't see much here
Amazing! He is so talented but he never forgets his fans. Probably my favorite musician ever.
i have a daughter!! that brought me to tears as a dad!!
That Steinway D model sounds amazing...
The most underrated musician. I love him so much!

"Lullabye (Goodnight, my Angel)" is from Billy Joel's twelfth studio album published 05.08.1993 "River of Dreams" 🌊 🌊🌊 🌊🌊 🌊🌊 🌊🌊🌊track 8 from 10
it is 2:40 am and I watched the whole album, and I am glad I did, cause it was great.
Inspired me to write a poem for my daughter. And yes, the power of a Steinway, especially a concert grand, is amazing.
Possibly one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Incredibly touching! Sad yet full of hope.

yes, one of his greatest pieces, and crying is a must, if you can feel it, IMHO
I grew up in Philly. I currently live in Seattle. But hearing this woman’s thick DelCo accent made me feel right at home😂
Hey Thanks for Up loading this Series, Billy is truly inspiring.
What a poignant finale. An awsome concert, thanks for putting up the whole thing.
"the real piano" is the best

Prelude/Angry Young Men is not all that difficult to play for a pianist.
is it just me, is are his hands small?
He has said look at my hands. I will never have been a classical musician. (not quite in those words but you get it). So yes, small I would say
