dude, we've already been planning a second jon boat build... we just feel like the more people we have out on these things the more fun its going to be.
@@dingalsbe88 picked one up friday with a 20hp honda motor put it on my 1750 then saturday went and picked up a 1546 tracker looking for another motor for it now
@@turtsable my thoughts are that it is time fore some carb and exhaust mods. I'd like to run the exhaust straight out the back so its not so loud coming out at a 90 right into my ears.... and jet the carb for some more power.. neither are necessary though.. its a blast to jam up the river in such shallow waters.. it's a ton of fun and turns a lot of heads.
That thing rocks! love my mud skipper!!!🤘
Would a bit of steamlining on the front of the transfer case help with speed? Just being a flat box annoys me, lol
Are you able to run up in shallow rivers with this . I’m thinking this might be a cheaper alternative to jet drives.
@@timg185 yeah, 1 foot of water. But it’s sketchy
man the look on youre face sold me buying one now that looks fun as shit

I'm sold !
Someone please take my money and let me start building mine ASAP !!!
Is your clutch that turns the prop disengaging at idle? I am having problems with mine not disengaging with the predator 459.
Mine wasn't at first. But after a few break-in trips and turning the idle down a little bit, it now disengages.
I like that machine for fishing her in Philippines, how much is the price?
Does it have a reverse?
No, I use a paddle....
Man we have a predator 459 with the same drive on a 1436. And it feels so sluggish even with one person Any suggestions?
that's probably too big of a boat for that motor.
I had a 1542 boat with swamp runner 420 was getting 15 up river and 18 down
How much was it?
@@maynarddenna I don’t really remember, I think it’s was $1300
That’s sick! What’s your top speed?
I've hit 27mph
That’s impressive
Holy shit someone else is into mudskippers AND fpv??? subbed just for that
I do need to dust my sticks off, it's been a while..
how big is the john boat?
12 foot
they say to ground the battery lead to one of the engine mount bolts.
yeah, but the bolts on this kit are WAY bigger than the eyelet on the power cable they supplied. It's working pretty good where I put it, for now.
@@dingalsbe88 awesome Ill do the same
Did you have to adjust skeg any for tracking straight?
@@bp30656 I have not had to mess with it... if you trim it out good it tracks nice and straight.
What size boat is that?
12'
What size of prop is on it ?
9" aluminum

it came pretty quickly, 5 days maybe... just email them, they are very responsive.
Did you get the 15HP? How ya like it so far? Thanks
I see the 15HP now. Duh
Yes and yes, it's really fun. I made another video, just have not uploaded it yet. My boat is a 1236.
