One of the simplest ways to look at this problem is to go to a feedlot and see the difference between cattle that are being fed grass to fatten vs grain fattening. There’s absolutely no comparison. So why the grains and flour not have the exact same effect on us?!!

@ your a bone head!! I’ve spent my whole life raising cattle!! I realize that they are different. But you can feed any animal grain and get the same results. Let’s take our family pets. They are carnivores. Feed them processed grains and see what happens

@@EthanVance2024 and by the way!! Grain is a grass. We just harvest the seeds

@@JohnPhilpott-q5k I'm a cattle producer. Commercial pet foods are full of cheap profit making carbs, oxalates, sugars, processed products and seed oils. 100 years ago domestic pets didn't get metabolic chronic ailments.

Back in the 60s-70s people were all slim, at least most of them.

Weird to watch old shows and movies where they are showing a fat person. But that is a normal healthy person today.

Eat fatty red meat, lift heavy things and play in the sun. Yes, I stole that from Ken Berry but it's correct and works.
I got healthy eating only fatty red meat, lifting heavy things and playing in the sun.

@@sheilacoon3129 The best thing you can do is get lots of summer sun and then in winter eat lots of fatty red meat, fatty fish, eggs and bacon.
In winter eat a carnivore diet and keep lifting heavy things. What you do in summer will get you through winter. Our ancestors didn't get depressed 🙂

How did they calculate population-wide average or median (or whatever marker they're using) energy intake and basal metabolic rate? It seems to me nearly impossible to get a consistent and accurate read on things like that.

The problem with assuming errors are roughly the same over the years is it fails to account with emerging trends in eating patterns. All those vegans that were starving themselves were offsetting the most obese people. The bell curve representing average weight would be flattened out, causing more people to exist at the extremes.
