She is perfection with her raw emotion , the slight imperfections make her more powerful , if she were perfectly smooth all the time her voice wouldn't have the same emotional affect on you .
Thank you for your thoughtful reaction. Nice to see someone new being graced. If you want to react again, there's a lot more from our favourite singer-songwriter and actress (www.youtube.com/@GraceVanderWaal). There's a lot to learn about her; 2016 AGT Champion, Fender Signature Artist, multiple accolades (including Disney, Teen Choice, Billboard, and Forbes Magazine), 2 EP's, 1 LP and many singles, 3 movies.
She was the _first_ Fender Ukulele Signature Artist; she won America's Got Talent in 2016 at age 12 with four original songs. She's been a signed photo model since age 13, modeling for Chanel and Yves St Laurence. She won the Billboard Women in Music Rising Star award at age 13 and played the lead in Disney's Stargirl and Hollywood Stargirl moves.
Reportedly Grace wrote this song at the age of 13 in less than 30 minutes at the end of a studio recording session when there was still some time left for the session. Grace had come from nowhere the year before to post a viral audition for America's Got Talent that had easily more than a hundred million views on UA-cam and other social media platforms. During this year her world changed completely. And some of that new world was frightening. Grace was thrown into the deep end kept unbelievably busy for that entire year writing, recording and performing music together with public appearances and interviews. This all happened in 2016 and 2017. Grace kept pretty busy until the pandemic hit and put the brakes on her career. She took advantage of the situation to take a breather and slow down the pace of her life. Since then she has continued but at a more sustainable pace for her mental and emotional health.
It has a child like quality because she is a child here.. she's 14. She's 20 now and all her fans are waiting for her career to finally take off.. this is her latest video just released and she has another one coming out soon and another album coming in the new year. I don't think her recording company has handled her career very well but she's with a new label so hopefully we'll see more of her in the future. My favourite version of her song UR So Beautiful is at the Trevor Project `(start at the 20 second mark).. ua-cam.com/video/dy0Qk-VDNVM/v-deo.html In the last 8 years since she first performed on AGT at the age of 12 her music has grown and changed but she has always been thought provoking.
If you want to cry happy tears, look up "The Story of Lucy." On its face, its a Windex commercial, but the music is Graces " Beautiful Thing," the perfect love song about the purest kind if love.
As one of the comments mentioned, Grace VanderWaal will be appearing in Francis Ford Coppola film Megalopolis in theaters September 27, 2004. She also along with Osvaldo Golijov wrote original music for the film. Here's the trailer for the film, Grace appears in trailer twice, can you spot her? ua-cam.com/video/RU1QyAYa60g/v-deo.htmlsi=UkvRD3H1UboCdqoq
She went from 40k viewers of reaction videos when she started to a couple of 100 now. 14 years old, wrote it at 13. Most famous unknown singer in history.
I allow myself a once a month viewing of this song for obvious reasons to avoid checking in for therapy! I consider this a double threat-being the best written and best performed song ever. Now at 20 she has overcome having her career derailed by Covid and bad management and is ramping up to take over the entertainment world! Get ready-and do some research-you missed 8 years!
😂 Hi from a huge fan in Australia! You are one of my, and my carer's (I'm disabled) , favourite reactors. We first found you reacting to Kasey Chambers cover of "Lose Yourself" by Eminem, which you loved. Your raw, honest emotion was breath-taking. You asked to see more of Kasey, so I highly recommend "Not Pretty Enough" and "Ain't No Little Girl", two very different original songs. I think you will enjoy them. Thanks for your videos, you really are amazing to watch, and listen to.
If you're considering more from Grace, her cover of Billy Joel's "Vienna" is wonderful. Musically, it's a straight cover, but her smoky vocal and - honestly - age make it hit harder. ua-cam.com/video/2U2oIHrEsiY/v-deo.html
If you haven't already you can look her up on america's got talent season two thousand sixteen where she won at the age of thirteen with all original songs and she's probably one of the best new artist of this century so look her up give her a chance
This was only the fourth time she sang this song in public.and you can tell it's a small group of maybe twenty people. She wrote the song in about a half an hour during a recording session for her second album. There are a couple more you should see (even if you do a review of them): A cover of Ed Sheerans' "ATeam" and the standard Vance Joy's Riptide: ua-cam.com/video/IBuGSEhlp7E/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/1DOnv_cIh14/v-deo.html

She the youngest Fender Guitar Signature Artist in their history. One of her minor citations...
1st and youngest?
Actually it is Ukulele signature artist. The first time Fender put out a signature Ukulele.
The second best emotional live performance after this, to me would be, "Stray" live at the Slipper Room.

Art is not a Pitch of a Note.
Need to check out GVW: WHAT’S LEFT OF ME, her latest, also very intense and personal -great video & performance
When can we expect a new Lara Fabian song?
