Definitely the go-to-guy for information about Boracay. I found it ironic that such a lovely room at The Crimson (and I know it isn't cheap) didn't have a view of the beach. The desert at the Shangri-La looked spectacular; and the only thing I could afford. No greater truth than your comment about the dual basin in the WC.
Thanks mate. Yeah for the view you have ditch the plunge pool and get the seaview only. If you don't mind spending the money they are both fantastic places to stay.

Great video as always Rob! Shangri-La Boracay has been our pick for two trips: 2015 and 2018. Nice to see it is still a fantastic place! Last year (2023) we stayed at Shangri-La Mactan. However, it is nowhere as nice as Boracay. Plus, the place was too packed and out of control. Boracay is the best place to spend your money.
Thanks! Yeah you can't beat the location at station 0 there, particularly when the weather is so beautiful like in the video. The Mactan Shangri la beach is man made as well. That said, the Shangri la in Mactan is better than most, if not all of the other resorts in Mactan Island. But Boracay is another level!
Hi Rob! Great video! We are going to stay at Movenpick for 2 nights and were picking between Crimson and Shangri-la for the 1 night we've got left. We really liked staying at Crimson last year. It's just that I can't help but stay curious about Shangri-la. Do you think it's worth staying there even if it's just for 1 day?
Shangri-la is great! You're close by so I would. For me 1 day is better than none!
I have stayed at The Crimson resort on Mactan, and it was amazing. I'm sure the in Boracay is just as spectacular.
Yes the Crimson at Boracay is even better than the one in Mactan and more expensive!
Would you prefer the resorts like Shangri-La & Crimson (station 0) with their more private beach vs. one of the resorts like the Lind on white beach station 1? Trying to narrow down our choices for our family! So hard to decide!
Personally i like the more seclusion of Shangri-la although the beach is not quite as good (the sand is more finer at Lind). The Lind is closer to other things, you can walk all the way down White Beach but it is busier too. Why didn't you include Movënpick in the video? They are basically in the same beach. You don't like em' huh? Lol.
