- One of the last recorded panels of the trio together on stage, Adam West, Julie Newmar and Burt Ward reprise their roles at Cat Woman, Robin the Boy Wonder, and the Original Batman. Enjoy this half hour of untold stories.
Adam West is a true American icon. From his humble beginning on a wheat ranch in Walla Walla, Washington, Adam skyrocketed to fame in Hollywood, pursuing an extraordinary career in entertainment that has spanned half a century. His role as Batman in the classic television series and feature of the same name continues to be seen throughout the world more than 40 years after its debut. While Batman, and his alter ego, Bruce Wayne, remains his signature role, Adam has a multitude of motion picture, theater, and TV credits to his name.
Adam West has also lent his voice to animated characters in such well-known series as Family Guy, The Simpsons, Rugrats, Batman, Animaniacs, Jonny Bravo, Spydogs, The Super Adventure Team, and many others. His voice-over work in animated film includes the roles of "Ace, Hollywood Chicken Little" in Disney's Chicken Little, and "Uncle Art" in Disney's Meet the Robinsons. In 2000, he also contributed the voice of "Leonard Fox" to the animated short, Redux Riding Hood, which went on to win an Academy Award nomination.
Burt Ward (born July 6, 1946) is an American television actor and activist. He is best known for his portrayal of Robin in the television series Batman (1966--68) and its theatrical film spin-off.
As an eleventh generation American and a Mayflower descendant, Julie Newmar has beauty, brains and a charming sense of humor. Born Julia Chalene Newmeyer in Los Angeles, her father, Donald, was an engineering professor, head of the Phys Ed. Department, and head football coach at LACC. He was on the L. A. Buccaneers Wonder Team. Her mother, Helen Jesmer, was a Ziegfeld Follies girl, said by Eddie Cantor to have the most beautiful legs in the Follies. From an early age, Julie studied classical piano, ballet, and every form of dance her mother would drive her to lessons for, graduating high school at 15, then spending a year in Europe with her mother and brother John. On her UCLA entrance exam, she scored a 99, staying only six weeks, switching to Universal Studios as choreographer, teacher, and dance double. Not yet 18, she was the original "Golden Girl," a statue-come-to-life dancing in "Serpent of the Nile," often times seen on MySpace, UA-cam, and was one of the brides in the classic MGM musical "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers."
In 1966, urged by her brother at Harvard, she created the role of Catwoman in "Batman." Her sense of humor and physicality made her this show's most popular villain. Similarly popular was her appearance as April the Laundress in "The Monkees Get Out More Dirt". On "Wide, Wide World of Sports," she made three parachute jumps. She was killed off in "Columbo" but slayed audiences as Lola in "Damn Yankees." She was given a chapter in the book "Mothers of Invention" for having created "Nudemar," a new design in pantyhose, appearing in People Magazine.
Few women have had a movie named after them. Julie's name literally became box office via "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar," a film from Stephen Spielberg's company. Literary types from John D. MacDonald to Harlan Coben have written characters based on Julie or alluding to Julie's "special... beautiful and animated... incomparable feminine" personality. She was persuaded by Adam West to re-make Catwoman in his "Return to the Batcave." She also appeared in her own "A&E Biography."
A feud over "quality of life" issues with neighbor Jim Belushi ended amicably in a historic and hysteric guest spot on his show, "According to Jim," which once again proved she's as active and attractive as ever. Batman's formidable feline, Belushi's archly attractive enemy.
From the '60s into the 21st century, Julie is still fascinating. "Beauty is her business" as well as her passion for art and design and gardening, which have led to a rose, day lily, and an orchid named in her honor. Her magnificent gardens are first choice for L.A.'s top charity events. "Why not? I live in Paradise."
A book on the oft asked questions "How do you look the way you do?" The answers are few when it comes to makeup and exercise. "It's the inner life that's all important". Check it out on JulieNewmar.com -- her 2011 book, "The Conscious Catwoman Explains Life on Earth". She is currently writing short stories, magazine pieces, as well as a bi-monthly memoir on the beatitudes of yes, consummate bliss.
This trio are also appearing at Denver Comicon

Burgess Meredith, Caesar Romero, and Frank Corshin really added substance to this wonderful TV series. I will remember it for the rest of my life.
Adam West is to Batman what Sean Connery is to 007. A total classic.
I ❤️ 1943& 1949 batman 🎬 movies; TV was more for kids
And just cool, man. So cool. Like the Wolf.
Haha, great analogy.
Agree ❤
And He Knew It I Mean He says It In The Beginning of The Panel
Rest In Peace.
Adam West.
🙏🏼💖
In loving memory of Adam West
Julie Newmar was a world class dancer who began her career during the golden age of MGM musicals; she was in Donen's Seven Brides For Seven Brothers; she portrayed Stupefying Jones in the screen adaptation of L'il Abner and she starred opposite Bob Cummings in the series My Living Doll. She is now 80 and looks great.
Yes she is still beautiful, bless her
That was so adorable when Julie came out and you could hear that little kid in the audience shouting "Catwoman!"
May those 3 live forever. They remind me more than anybody about how great it was to be a kid in the 1960's.
Well.....
I'm one of those kids
Adam West sounds exactly like he did when he played Batman!
He sounds more like Batman here then he did on the 1977 cartoon series and the direct to video cartoon Return of the caped crusaders.
@Matthew Cox, and he is also an original..
Even though I grew up in the 80s and early 90s Julie Newmar will always be my favorite Catwoman.
She was mine too until Michelle Pfeiffer’s iconic turn.
They both outclassed Anne Hathaway's portrayal in every way.
@@NK-mn6zu Michelle did a fine job but remember that Julie defined Catwoman and gave Michelle the foundation for the character. Both were great in their roles tbh.
@@kendallrivers1119Absolutely!
I don’t know I liked Eartha Kitt myself
When I read Batman comic books as a kid in the 60's and 70's... I always imagined his voice sounds like Adam West.
Julie Newmar is still so stunning
The USPS needs to come out with a set up stamps featuring these wonderful people.
Great idea!
Between Morticia Addams(Carolyn Jones) in her body-hugging, floor-length black dress and humorously macabre demeanor, and Catwoman(Julie Newmar) in her skintight black catsuit and chronically naughty demeanor my taste in women and their couture was set by my 10th birthday.
Some of us reveled (and grew) in other sources much earlier! TV is nice, but sometimes reality comes at you a bit too soon, and you adapt!
Funniest episode included Catwoman's imminent capture, and that dialogue has to have been totally ad libbed!
A classic movie (HEAVEN CAN TAKE HER) starred Jean Tierney, in a role that must have inspired Julie.
When Catwoman works Batman up to a point, but asks "what will we do about Robin"?
Find it, and laff yourself silly!
Me too 🦇
I'm fascinated watching Julie Newmar act like a villain for the entire panel!
She's trying so hard, but it's obvious that she has progressive dementia. But she's still a very elegant lady.
@@mikedavis-ip5cxaww that's so sad ❤
I thought that she was great. I'm just thankful that she's still around. ❤
Gotta LOVE JULIE!
Wow, great see Julie newmar know sign language like deaf sign language. That's so cool! Adam and Burt are awesome too.
She has a deaf son. Here's a recent video-- she is a textbook example of living every well in every phase of life.

What a wonderful reunion. God bless these people.
And they all reunited for 2 new animated movies!
A+ 100% nothing wrong with this purposely campy brilliant show and masterfully acted. Batman 1966 forever.
Damn Julie looks amazing
Incredible, I saw her in an old Bilko episode from the 1950's and here she is in 2014.
She’s 79/80 at this convention & still absolutely beautiful inside & out
@@kennethmelnychuk9737 She’s soon to be 88 on 8/16/21. She’s wonderful.
14:44 YOU WANN LIVE ALONG LIVE ...HAVE FUN !!!
THANK YOU SWEET HEART JULIE NEWMAR
AND REST IN PEACE MR ADAM WEST
Batman Robin and Catwoman was The world Idol of this story. Julie is Catwoman forever. She beautiful all the times.
Why not comment on what a pivotal role these actors played in establishing an iconic television show, and cut out the snide comments? This panel, like the many others they have participated in to show gratitude to their fans, was about celebrating their work and what a lasting impact it has had on popular culture, not how they have physically changed over the years (which frankly, is nobody's business). Show some class. They do.

Adam West charisma
What a wonderful reunion. Thank you so much for sharing this!!
Adam West you are still a handsome guy. Rest in Peace. 💖🙏🏼
And it seemed it was filmed yesterday
Poor Julie could barely walk. But she's a hoot!
Three of my favourites of all time.
Julie is a character! lol!
Julie was heavily drugged-sad.
@@MichiganMan1985👎 👎😤
@@MichiganMan1985 No, she did not. She's actually very bright, a tad quirky sure, but not a drug user. Do some research. Jerk.
@@MichiganMan1985 what's the evidence?
she's fucking weird. former hottie that let it all get to her head. and weird on top of that.
It was great , as kids we couldn't wait for the next weeks episode. Stayed tuned 😅
Same 'bat time', same 'bat channel'!
great panel! loved it!
I love that he remembered his Simpsons line regarding the absence of padding.
It's a relief to know that Adam West has lived to see that his series will finally be on DVD.
It's possible to wonder if the recent Scooby Doo movie "Mask of the Blue Falcon" (which was an obvious take on Adam West's situation) pushed the final release of the Adam West "Batman" on DVD, or if it was made with the knowledge that the conflicts were getting closer to being resolved.
This is real nice. Thanks for posting.
It was indeed a special panel. Thank you for watching!
I got to meet Burt and Adam in Tampa and later on in Orlando. Great guys ! They were the best Batman and Robin .
I ❤️ 1943& 1949 batman movies;; my opinions the best batman; ❤️ 1960s batman cartoons too
Adam West was,a,serious actor he starred in an episode of the Outer Limits. He was commander of a spaceship.
Actually Julie is a legend.
+Fred Scuttle The best of all of the catwomen!!!!
@@Farrah300 No.. Eartha Kitt is the greatest Catwoman with a supernatural tone to her voice and embodiment of a cat, Julie and Lee are just crime women in a Halloween suit lusting after Batman.
I had a little boy's crush on Julie Newmar.I wanted Batman to hook up with her but Robin (drat!)kept cockblocking them when they got close.Bats should have shooed him away.
@@marchionessamoretto7326 Yep, Eartha was good too.She was very feline.
@@craigezell4261 better all around actress.
The Golden Era of TV. The 1960's
Julie Newmar, original & the best
It is complete class that the two gentlemen on either side of her are giving her an anchor to hold onto, so that it would be hard to tell that she was having trouble walking.
Totally.Holy gentlemen
They are wonderful actors who are wonderful in every way!!!
Beatiful Julie
Right on, Julie!!!!
@13:54: The question asked about evolution of their characters was a profound one. Adam West and Burt Ward were a part of that evolution which involved "Batman" animation and live action specials throughout the 1970's and 1980's. Then came along the Tim Burton "Dark Knight" evolution. I wish someone in the audience would have ask questions about those projects they did. It would have been nice to know more about them.
Dick Benedick and Cesar Romero watching this is in the heaven
IT.S VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE POSITIVE -- ROLL-MODELS AND FROM FIRST NIGHT OF THE FIRST SHOW AS A SEVEN YEAR OLD BATMAN BROUGHT SOME JOY TO MY LIFE . ANS EVEN MORE JOY WHEN I MET ADAM WEST AS BATMAN AT A SPORTSMAN SHOW IN BOSTON.
And positive ROLE models, too..
RIO Adam.. you were the best Batman ever
I have all 120 episodes and the movie in 1080p love watching them even now. 👍
Nothing but LOVE...
the thing that hits me is that these actors are so super talented as performers its really a shame that there talent was wasted on TV shows
Julie did plenty of movies, and won a Tony for work on Broadway.
Just Purrrfect ! Need I say more ?
60's Beatles, Bond, Batman
Lessons Taught In Life Have Fun.
Beyond 60's Learn Manners, Learn Intollerence, Learn Fun,Learn To Roll Take Life Not Darn Seriously.
saudades dos meus tempos de crianças !!! obrigado Nai, como o tempo passa !!!
You do that and you'll clean it up.
Wow I guess of all the adult cast members they are the only 3 still living. How sad...Ceasar Romero would have loved this
Yvonne Craig (Batgirl) is still alive
Dakotah Mays true I had forgotten about her. Wish she had been at comic con
+Dakotah Mays Not anymore sadly.
+Gwen King Lord can you imagine Romero at a convention? The guy was a total ham and would have LOVED it!
It is sad most are gone though. It was a great show. Lee Meriwether is still alive though she only played Catwoman in the 1966 movie. She is STILL smoking hot too!
+Mark T yes he would have been a hoot
I cried with that guy's speech that was touching :)
it's so funny because everything he was saying in his speech is almost exactly what I've always felt about Adam West teaching morals to the young boys and girls watching this there's nothing like that on TV today just dark and Sinister influences that are poisoning our society in our culture I've seen several of their gatherings I think this is by far head-and-shoulders above all of them
+polara01 yes my eyes had tears in them as well it's said he is gone but somewhere in the outskirts of Gotham he is in the Batcave looking after us all
I fell off the couch laughing..get a life..
4:28
Adam West: You guys don't look that old
Random Guy in Crowd: Hah! You really do!!!
He said "Neither do you", referring to Adam.
The shark spray was funny, but the bomb spray was funnier! Hahahah I Love the 1966 Batman movie! Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb. Hahahah. R.I.P. Adam West / Batman
At 4:49 Julie Newmar was visibly upset after the "he's got a gun" announcement. That was very uncalled for.
Adam West was great!
Julie Newmar does Yoga, she is in great shape at age 85.
holy kitty cats Jolie is right catwoman dose live for ever
R.I.P Batman.
R.I.P Batgirl.
R.I.P Black Catwoman.
R.I.P Riddler.
R.I.P Pinguin.
R.I.P Joker.
R.I.P Cheff O Hara.
R.I.P Gomisonor.
R.I.P Alfred Pennyworth.
R.I.P Ount Harriet.
Not to mention rip to- Egghead, King Tut, The Archer, The Minstrel, off the top of my head.
Stay strong to Julie Newmar and Burt Ward. The 'last of the Mohicans'.
Why didn't they get more seasons? Ughhhhhhhh they deserved to be renewed
Notice how Adam and Julie ham it up a lot more than Burt. I commend Robin on the canine rescue. I love the 60's Batman. I wish more actors were like Adam and Julie in interviews. So much fun. A remake of that style of superhero's might work today.
Atomic batteries to power, turbines to speed!
Adam West died the day after this was posted on youtube.
You are correct on the day sir, but off by 3 years. This was posted in 2015. Thankfully I filmed this since it was a very rare instance of a reunion for these cast members.

Julie Newmar so beautiful with her grey hair!
omg i wish i can b still gorgeous like julie newmar SHEEEE S STUNNING SOOOO FASHION
Catwoman once suggested having Robin "killed" to facilitate an accelerated courtship with Batman.
Woman are so wonderfully practical 😆
Can "ANYBODY" tell me (Or knows) the long-awaited answer of the Narrator of this "Gold-Plated" 1966 iconic series known as "Batman"? Who've always said; "SAME BAT-TIME, SAME BAT-CHANNEL!!
It was the producer, William Dozier. He was uncredited for it , but did all the narration for the series.
WIlliam Dozier show producer.
Bill Dozier the producer who sounds a helluva lot like the late great Lakers announcer CHICK HEARN..
They should have had Frank gorshin he was still alive
Back in the 90's I saw Frank Gorshin, Adam West and Yvonne Craig do a panel at a Mid-Ohio Con. After the panel I found myself sharing an elevator with Frank Gorshin and about 6 other people. He entertained us all with jokes and voices while waiting for and riding on the elevator. He seemed to be a very humble man.
Frank Gorshin died in 2005.
Not unless they had Comicon- FOREST LAWN..
Julie linda demais, maravilhosa, como o tempo foi bom com ela, nao fosse os cabelos brancos diria que nao mudou nada em 50 anos. Exatamente o mesmo lindo sorriso.
That's easy for you to say..
Julie Newmar was my teenage crush! I was one month into my 14 years. It was tough!!
Catwoman really moved still most mysterious parts in me that the rest of the show couldn’t. Watched this show in the 1970’s - as a nipper (young lad) - in the UK. Catwoman hasn’t lost it. I woman of beauty, intellect, artistic talent and great character / love (so I understand).
The show itself, I think, represented the time of peak freedom, general prosperity, new materialism, the fight of good against evil, democratic process versus totalitarianism, almost irresistible temptation (Catwoman), the sexual revolution (not all good), the plus and minuses of strong women (Catwoman again), application of a new type of zany art, a corny sense of humour, our strange love of violence (if we aren’t its victims), new fashion statements and also some pretty risqué humour (adults only).
The inspiration is an old one, I believe. The original writers of Batman / Superman etc. simply modernised, cartoonised, Americanized and made more commonly appealing the old Greek classics.
Of course, they also threw some more humour and sex-appeal in - as well.
I think 3 series was about right. Doing more would have ruined it.
Holy hamburger Batman, I think I’ve been eating too much. Yes Robin, I have to agree.
Por favot alguna persona solidaria que pueda subtitular este maravilloso encuentro para los hispanos que no sabemos ingles .muchas gracias
Didn’t Burt Ward used to be younger?
When it was filmed?
Robin has turned into The Penguin
Robin looks like Penguin now, XD
LOL, I was thinking the same o_O
What happen to him? He got fat.
+Thomas Dickensheets Age, genetics and slowing of metabolism. Some people are not able to keep weight off for other reasons than just over eating.
Thomas Dickensheets Also, staying away from in front of the camera makes a lot of famous people feel that they no longer have the need to keep in shape or to stay thin, so they either, stop exercising/working out, they want to relax more, sometimes they get lazy for good reason and or start to eat more.
Thomas Dickensheets The beautiful people don't stay beautiful forever.
“You didn’t have any padding.”
Oh no… It’s Mr Plow: “I didn’t need molded plastic to improve my physique. Pure West. And how come Batman doesn’t dance anymore? Remember the Batusi?”
21:30 That’s what happened to Lyle Waggoner and Peter Deyell.
It’s the Boy Blunder
Adam west remjnds me a bit of Harrison' ford ,sounds like him too
At this "Batman" TV show reunion, why didn't Burt Ward greet and hug Julie Newmar when he came on stage? Adam West greeted and hugged her when he came on stage but Burt Ward didn't! Was there or is there some feud between Ward and Newmar that we haven't heard about?
He greeted her and kissed her on the cheek I think. Julie has a neurological disorder. Don't think he wanted to grab her and throw her up f2f balance.
@ eedleate. I didn't see Burt Ward kiss Julie Newmar on the cheek when she came onstage in this Batman reunion video clip. He didn't greet her at all. I read on the internet some time ago that she supposedly has developed a rare neurological problem in which she has lost sensitivity in her feet which makes walking difficult , but in this videoclip she appeared to be walking without any difficulty.
They kind of gave Robin a ribbing in the first portion of panel, because Newmar and West had such chemistry and are playing off him for laughs.. in the comic "A Death in tre Family" , Robin was killed with a damn crowbar by the Joker, and in the current Titans, Robin was like "F%^K Batman - and you see the genesis of the turn of Robin's portrayal ...in future iterations of the storyline.
Joker killed Jason Todd not Dick Grayson. Dick moved on to become Nightwing and Jason took over being Robin. Even the show Titans covered him no longer Robin. His moving on from Robin in the comics wasn't because of a falling out. Dick felt he outgrown Robin and Robin belonged with Batman so he was going to become his own hero. It took him a while to decide on Nightwing but during Judas Contract he was the last Titan not caught by Deathstroke so he dawned the Nightwing outfit to go after him.
It was interesting how Adam West warmly greeted Julie Newmar. On the other hand, Burt Ward didn't seem at all interested in greeting Julie. I thought that was tacky.
Robin was wonder young, now guy manati
Interpreter!!!! Is there one in the house?
The Bat.
The Cat.
The Bird.
Oh, wait.....
pure west lol fucking right
cat woman
nice !
Cat women was so so hot
why was Burt Ward so cold toward Julie Newmar? It's like he couldn't stand being near her. He didn't even bother to greet her on stage. It was a bit douchy of him.
I noticed the same thing! It almost seemed that he was uncomfortable on stage. I have watched other interviews with Burt Ward and when he is by himself or with just him and Adam West, he is funny and so outgoing and appears excited to be there. Not with this interview. I wonder if he was feeling self-conscious as he does not look as good as Julie and Adam, and yet he was younger than them!
As bold and in-your-face as Julie is, she might have told Burt that he needs to lose weight!
Holy Potbelly, Batmanď
