I can't even understand the level of patience to do this. Not only is crafting the model to this degree of detail time consuming, but making a stop motion animation video in the process and then editing said video with grade ''A'' quality??? Amazing! If I were wearing a hat, I'd tip it off to you good sir, well done!

I had one of those Revell models of a B-17g almost two decades ago. 147 parts. Tons of dedication. Tons of mess-ups and fixes.. and probably not even on level as the guy's video. Nearly a month and I was on the last steps of finishing it until I lost it all from an angry sister who took it and smashed it in rage.

About a decade ago an olive-drab B-17 flew over Hollywood in the course of a long and slow 180 for a landing (Santa Monica? Torrence?) from the west. It was so low I could read the letters and numbers. Simply: Sublime. This build? Same. A B-2 did a Hollywood fly-over about twenty years ago. The earth shook. The sun was blotted out from the sky. Still the B-17 rules the skies. Thank you, Tom.

And I also have to add; this is one of the the most gorgeous models I have ever seen & I cannot imagine the years of practice to achieve this level of craftsmanship. Well done sir, well done.
I work at an aviation museum and we have plenty of models and ironically (I guess?) the best models we have are of ships. Two are aviation related; the USS Wolverine, which was an old, paddle-wheeled coal collier converted to a practice carrier in Lake Michigan (no u boats there!) and the USS Nimitz. My other favorite is of an Iowa-class battleship, the Missouri I believe. I would have loved to see Tom tackle these behemoths, as each model is roughly 3-4 feet long. That in stop motion would have been insane!

Still can’t find you on PayPal. Maybe due to my technical ignorance. A Patreon account will allow you to accept contributions of €1 to €5 per month on a recurring basis. One off payments are good but not stable. Set up a Patreon account, my friend. Tag it to the end of every one of your wonderful posts. Then watch your real supporters grow. Love from Ireland.

I am in my fourth year of doing model aircraft and believe me..it gets better. It takes patience and you got to try out new things on scrap plastic or a old plane you first built, and sometimes you got to walk away. Stick with it Benedict builds you will get there!

As a tribute to my father’s 56 missions as pilot in WW2, i made one of these. But I researched and fully detailed the interior and exterior. Thankfully dad told me of the markings and tail number of his favorite plane. I even flew on one here in Arizona. Every tube wire and knob is totally accurate in scale, location and color. I made tiny plaques with the names of each crewman at their positions. He never lost a crewman.
Additionally i illuminated the interior and all the exterior lights. But the crowning achievement was inserting small electric motors in the engine nacelles. The engine details are still visible. I cut the rudder(tail flap) and gave it just a bit of right rudder. Now it hangs from my grandsons ceiling and with a touch of the battery pack located in the bombay, flys slowly in three foot diameter circles. Congratulations Captain Sorenson, Lieutenant Shaller, Lieutenant Elrod, Lieutenant Sommers and the rest. My family will never forget you.

Pairing the eye, the imagination, the craftsmanship combined with 100% precision plus the endurance makes you and your models one of a kind. I built two B-17s back in the Monogram days..... they never looked as good as this. And my second one didn't look half bad, considering the information from UA-cam, let alone the internet wasn't a thing. But this definitely blows whatever I had accomplished right out of the air. Excellent work!

I first saw this video about a year and a half ago, and loved it for two reasons. Firstly, I loved it because by then I was already a loyal subscribed viewer of your channel for ages, and enjoyed every piece of content you produced. However, there was a second reason: the music. Since hearing this incredible overture, I have taken a deep dive into classical music. I now regularly listen to the works of all the world's greatest composers, from the Baroque period right up to the Contemporary. I've put on early classical period composers the most, with their typically light and dainty sound (I've found I like it best). However, I always come back to Beethoven once in a while, listening to Leonore Overture No.3, the Fidelio and Coriolian overtures, and of course, the Egmont Overture. Because of this video, I got a fantastic look at extremely well done modeling once more, and a whole new field of music to adoringly jump into. So I thank you for that.
Also, if you do see this, perhaps you could see it as a good reason to have more pieces of the like for your videos? Just a tiny suggestion/request, that's all.
