- Obsessed with these incredible items I thrifted!!! Almost all these items are from Dangerfield, Princess Highway, Revival and Collectif, with a few pieces from other brands like Hellbunny & Sourpuss. I'm absolutely in love with the rockabilly style (and I think it really suits my new hair!). Let me know if there are any other similar brands that you'd like to see me review!

Those of us who've tried to go from black hair to colours: "Hmmm"
As someone who is 34 and has gone from dressing extremely alternative to more "age appropriate" as the years have gone by, I can totally relate to how you feel about yourself. The last 18 months I decided to make a change and I have dyed my hair every colour there is, shaved it off entirely in February, dress how I want and all the fun makeup looks. Do what makes you happy and gives you confidence. You only live once and embracing your inner wild child can be so freeing. Im so happy to see you feeling more like your true self. This is so wholesome and Im excited to see what cool looks you come up with next year. (I loved Dan's reaction to your new look btw :P)
100%!! I'm 40 and used to dress really quirky, but over the last 10 years i've really toned it down and become a 'jeans and a nice top' person. I didn't realise how bad it had been making me feel until I recently bought some more alternative clothes again and have felt SO much better about myself!. It doesn't matter what other people think, as long as you feel good that's all that matters. I can't wait to be one of those old ladies with pink hair, wacky clothes and 20 dogs :)

Hellbunny makes some my favorite clothing! They make wonderful vintage inspired clothing in inclusive sizes. Hellbunny is also reasonably priced compared to other brand like Collectif. I don't think I have ever paid more than 100 dollars for a dress.

I was so confident and wore whatever I wanted in year 11, but started to feel really self conscious once I tried to assimilate into adult life. Get a flat iron for your hair and use it to iron collars and any little thing you need to iron. I hand sew and I use one all the time. Also great for travel since it's compact and doesn't need water. :)

As someone who’s style is 90% funky collared shirt over a graphic tshirt, Dangerfield has been one of my favourite places to go. I basically only get something when it’s on sale, but I love the few shirts I do have so much! I have a lot of sensory issues that make clothes shopping hard for me, but I’ve found that their stuff is usually the perfect texture! I’m in NZ, and I only discovered the store a couple of years ago when I started working in a bookstore just down the road from their shop, but they are honestly amazing.
when alex took the wig off, I was dyiiiinnnngg. I legit almost cried from how happy and comfortable she looked! the black hair suits her SO MUCH. especially in this sort of style clothing!
Unfortunately, Dangerfield has shot themselves in the foot with their treatment of their plus size range, but HEY thrifted items are always good. Collectif, Hell Bunny and a few other brands are available all other places!

Dangerfield goes up to Size 20, but I have a variety of sizes in Dangerfield clothes because the sizing is not consistent. We have one store here and I always go try the items on first because I can be a Size 14 in one top but Size 12 in another.
They also treat their workers like garbage and underpay them

The cool thing about dangerfield is that they have a lot of different styles, they have more punk, alt stuff then they also have Lolita stuff and cottage core. I like a lot of their clothes because they remind of like teen crush kpop style. I also have a sort of preppy cute look and they have a lot of stuff that match that vibe.
Just to clarify there’s no Lolita clothing on there, some of it is pastel but it’s not Lolita style

Dangerfield are also in Myer, you can often get them on sale for a really good price ($30 for a dress). My favourite thing is that they have certain styles in different fabrics, so if you find one that fits you perfectly, as seasons change you can get them in lots of different colours.
I loved the alt. haul, even if it wasn’t all dangerfield/associated brands! I’m pretty sure you can buy Hell Bunny from sites like Beserk, as well as from Hell Bunny’s own site
Alex’s little “noo” specifically at 23:05 is just the greatest random reaction sound I’ve ever heard, and I don’t know why hahah. It’s just like, the perfect mix of mild disappointment and annoyance/disdain, but nothing too serious(?)

For Dangerfield, the actual clothing brand they stock - Dangerfield, princess highway, Revival and black friday are all manufactured by Dangerfield as in-house brands. A few of these brands have their own websites to host the products but they all fall under dangerfield and are manufactured by them. I have a significant amount of stuff from them and their price points aren't TOO bad, e.g. dresses aren't $100 - $300, they usually sit around the $80 mark. I have never seen a dress over $114 there before.
My main disappointment however, is they decided to complete cut their curve range, which is super annoying? I went in today to try get a christmas gift for someone in the hopes that I could find something plus size, but nope, already been yeeted out of the store. Mega dissappointing for a brand that claims to inclusive and a safe space D:

I’m from Tassie, and asked them if the plus sizes will be returning, and they said yes. They were trying to sort out the sizing problem, and then make all the clothing available in plus size. I also got an email from them about it, I think there might even be comments about it on their website.
I’m glad they are fixing the sizing, because usually I am a size 20 -22, and had to buy their size 24, which I was a bit shocked with. Love their clothes 😊
I was in Dangerfield yesterday and they had a few racks stuffed full of plus size clothing 18-24 in store. :)
We just got a Dangerfield in my city. The urge to go and spend far too much money is too great. I tend to wear vintage reproduction (40s and 50s) and it hits mix between the clothing I like now and wished to have when I was a teenager
They removed their plus size range. Dont shop there
@@jazzprichard3878 dont they go up to size 20? But then again the sizes do run very small, sometimes have to go 2 sizes up compared to your usual size, and most of the material has no stretch. Cute prints and designs tho. Hopefully they make bigger sizes so everyone can wear it.
@@jazzprichard3878 I believe they had a sizing issue which looks like they might have sorted because the store I was in yesterday had a few racks of 18-24 and they are also advertised on their online store too, I hope this helps.

I would LOVE to see you thrift more vintage clothes to wear with your new hair, I'm talking pinup dresses, dresses from the 50s (at least in American fashion I'm not sure what the rest of the world was wearing), flapper dresses from the 20s. They would look stunning!
I adore hell bunny and sourpuss clothing. As a larger size lady I do find sizing a bit off. Sourpuss also do amazing handbags. I own a lot of pin up style dresses and petticoats. You need to do a whole pin up haul. Berserk would be a gray start. Also loving the black hair
I pretty much exclusively shop second hand Dangerfield products, plus a few new pieces from time to time. My mentality when buying new pieces is 'It's worth putting your money into quality, rather than quantity'. Princess Highway and Revival have the most adorable prints. Dangerfield and Black Friday are more Punk.
My favourite coat is a Revival coat that I got second hand on one of the buy,swap,sell groups on Facebook marketplace for $90, rather than the instore price of $200 😂
I could go on and on. Best clothing in Australia.

I’ve been doing the same lately, too - of bringing back in things I loved that I thought I had to purposely push away, so I can now feel more rounded & like myself, that makes my own rules on what is acceptable for “me.” Everyone is a unique tapestry of a blend of things. You can easily be dark & pastel.

Hell Bunny dresses are always a good shout, the prints are gorgeous and the fabric is always good quality plus POCKETS! (Also quite a lot of items are still made here in the UK!)
I also love Collectif, but their sizing is super vintage, so compared to modern sizing, it is normally around 2 sizes off.
Which can be a shock, but as vintage reproductions go, they are good quality and a pin ups paradise 😍
You should definitely look into run & fly, made in Manchester (UK) fantastic quality, print, lots of unisex items and the sizing is so inclusive and if that wasn't enough most of their dresses also have pockets too! 😂😂😂
some advice to anyone buying Dangerfield secondhand: Dangerfield does generally run large, but i think that might not have been the case in the past as i bought an older Dangerfield jacket from Depop and it ended up running small compared to my newer Dangerfield clothing in the same size. So absolutely buy Dangerfield secondhand, but just ask for measurements if it seems a little older!
Not sure about the actual Dangerfield brand, but this is definitely true of Princess Highway stocked by Dangerfield. I have been shopping there for at least 10 years (I think?) I used to be a size 12 and now I'm a 10, sometimes even an 8, even though I'm the same size.

I've shopped from all of these brands since I was a teenager. I grew up going to Hot Rod shows, listening to 1950's rockabilly music, going to dances and dressing 1950's/rockabilly. The black hair and that rockabilly dress gives me Bettie Page vibes and I'm here for it. Also the rockabilly music scene is really big here in Melbourne.

Growth is good. Personal styles and beliefs can change. This year, I got a nose piercing and my hair is blonde (I’m a natural brunette) people I know are shocked, but I’ve never felt more me. I’m not done either and it feels so good. I have found myself watching your videos and going ‘no, don’t do that!’ Then I turn around and go, ‘Scratch that, do it! Do what you want! Break free!’ If ‘Pretty Pastel Please’ goes to ‘Pretty Me Please’ so be it! I’m here for whatever comes.

Collectif and Hell Bunny are available on so many shops online, and Collectif often has good sales on their own website (they ship world wide). I'd love to see you do a haul from both of them!
Re: sizing and Collectif, their clothes typically have very little stretch and they run a little small. This is quite common for many vintage-inspired brands (I don't think Hell Bunny runs small, though). Many wear it with shapewear underneath, especially the more tight fitting pieces (the tops you tried are supposed to be tight fitting, so if you were to buy the same top I would go down to an 8, or maybe a 6. Check their sizing table and compare to your measurements, and size up rather than down if you are between sizes, unless they say otherwise). I'm an EU 32/34 or UK/AU 6 and my body shape is very similar to yours. While most of my stuff from Collectif is a UK size 6, it's a tight squeeze compared to my other clothes in the same size from other brands.
Just to add Collectif will sometimes even put in the description how the item fits so if it fits slightly smaller due to the cut or material so worth looking out for that

Hellbunny, Dangerfield, and several other brands are available on Modcloth, and they've got pretty frequent sales. The plus sizes can sometimes be a bit scarce though. Edited to add Unique Vintage as another conglomeration shop with a house brand. Haven't shopped at that one though.

My best friend has the white with red roses Hell Bunny dress, and I have the same dress but it's black with red roses. It's such a beautiful dress, Hell Bunny is amazing quality with the prettiest stuff. Her and I grew up as teens wearing 50s style stuff allll the time, we were known for it! We were, and still are, in a group for women who dress retro and were always the youngest members at the meetups. Your dress brought back those memories 😊❤️
You look amazing with black hair. I have gone through something similar. I dressed in what was deemed appropriate for me as a plus sized girl. No patterns, avoid certain colors - don't wear short skirts or certain dress styles. Don't dye your hair or wear dark makeup.
Now I have a witchy celestial/dark academia/green witch vibe coming into my wardrobe. I wear dark makeup, I've had Butter blonde, Lavender, rose gold, and purple hair and now my hair is blood red which I adore. I put on an outfit today that made me almost cry because I realized that I've started to find my style and really learn to love my body despite being plusher than I'd realistically want to be. I felt beautiful and powerful.

I understand the story about feeling confident as a teen goth, growing up and deciding to change your style for “adulting”. There was nothing wrong with how I dressed but when I moved across the country I went back to goth (more like adult/ corporate goth) because nobody would know any different and now despite being 4 or 5 sizes larger I’m much more comfortable in my own skin.
Also I’ve always found clothes in this videos style to run small but Collectif was the worst by far.

I love the Hell Bunny dress on you! And the Collectif tops, I have the skirt of that blue and pink top. Other brands you could look up are Hearts and Roses, The Pretty Dress Company, Micheline Pitt, Pinup Girl Clothing (I bought a few second hand and I love them!)
Dangerfield, Revival and Princess Highway are my fav brands! So happy to see this haul, especially as they're thrifted (that's the only way I buy these days). Love it!
