Congrats and way to go. What's helped me run my 40 marathons is "the miracle isn't that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start." You are a winner and a champ.
So I’ve been doing research on NYC marathons. Reading and watching videos and I’ll say this….. This video made me cry, your strength and determination are second to none. She said there’s a medal waiting for me and I’m gunna go get it. That’s damn right!!! YOU ARE A TRUE INSPIRATION!!!
I agree. I am running NYC 2023 in less than a month and just looking at videos and getting all hyped up. You are so cute, Lexie!! I love your smile. I watched this while running on my treadmill and was smiling (and crying - I don’t recommend that part) along with you. You’re amazing!! Your perseverance and attitude are an inspiration. Way to go!! Congratulations!!!
Congratulations! I was there too with my first marathon. I finished while dark and I was crying just like you. It was so emotional for me and obviously for you. From one back of the pack gal to another. YOU DID IT!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!
Congratulations. You should be so proud of yourself. You had a goal and you achieved it. You are now part of a very elite club,The one percent of the population that has completed a marathon! You had me tearing up.
Just AMAZING!! Your strength, determination and upbeat attitude was incredible to watch. Thank you for sharing your NYC marathon experience with us. How inspiring 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Lexie, you rock!! I loved seeing the race from your perspective! This is my number one bucket list race and it was so awesome to see your experience at the back of the pack, which is where I will be. When I could hear you sobbing near the end, I was crying with you!! Amazing job!!
Im in the middle of my training and jist wanted to say you are such an inspiration. I was crying throughout your video. Thank you for sharing and thank you for being you.
I'm binging a bunch of NYC Marathon videos, as my partner just got in so I'm flying over to support but I can tell you something, as excited as I am to watch him speed his way through the 26.2 miles and be super proud of him I CANNOT WAIT to also head back out onto the streets and cheer on the back of the packers who run at speeds like me, and be in awe of you all managing the distance!! I'm tearing up to your video, I just adore the people like you who surround me at races (No way am I ready for 26 miles, I'm still on the 10K distance lol!) - what a celebration!!
So amazing!. That was a hard earned and well-deserved medal. Huge congratulations and massive respect. 26.2 miles is intense, especially in the heat, whatever your time you finished. Love this video 🎉❤
Awww Lexie!!! You made me cry again ❤ Thank you for being an inspiration to us, back of the pack runners. I know this is late, but congratulations again 🎉❤
I can see me with my GoPro in the background at 2:24!! Congratulations on finishing! My first marathon too, such a wild experience. Love the vibes of this video, really inspiring to watch this and be able to appreciate the accomplishment that much more, thank you for sharing this!
Congratulations Lexie! So awesome. Well done. One of the best videos about NYC marathon. So encouraging. Your beautiful face will keep me going as I attempt the Honolulu marathon in a couple of weeks. Congrats again. What an inspiration!
Congratulations! Watching this video brought back so many emotions. It’s a tough course, especially for the runners in the last wave (I tackled it 2021, last wave too!), even more so as it gets dark. I’m so proud of you and so so happy for you. Congrats again!!
100 thumbs up! You are quite an inspiration. There are plenty of people who didn't have the courage to start. You did and finished it. I even cried a bit with you at the end. Hope you do well in your future endeavors.
You did it Lexie! So inspiring and you should be extremely proud of yourself. I am doing the dopey challenge in January as a newer runner and watching you and Jacks channel as well as listening to the podcast has been so instrumental in keeping me going during training. I have been struggling as a back of the packer wondering if I will be able to complete this challenge, but this video shows with hard work you can achieve your dreams. I hope to run into you both at marathon weekend and maybe even get to conquer some of the miles together on the dopey courses. Way to go and thank you for sharing the journey.
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉You did amazing!!!! Well deserved. And with a big smile on your face!!! Awesome job! Very inspiring! I was there too! Priceless experience!!! Thank you for sharing!!!

@@cathynewyork7918 well the good thing about running is that you can always work on getting faster. Just because something is "difficult" doesn't mean "don't try". That's no reason to cut down on someone's goals or aspirations.
@@passporttorun Yes, she can always get faster. I have gotten faster in marathons myself - but she needs to be realistic about whether she can do Chicago in their six and a half hour cutoff, or qualify for Boston which requires a 4-something marathon, depending on her age group, if she is now doing an eight-hour marathon. Dream, yes, but be realistic.
