Hey patton is it normal if the zip file for auto bleem takes extremely slow to extract the files? My estimated time says more than 1 day 💀 i tried on two computers same thing.
Hey bro, big fan & of your channel. Can you please do a video explaining how to properly transfer a video game build such as magnus RC's to a flash drive. Alot of people seem to have trouble with the process of downloading & extracting them to use on the psx classic
@@PattonPlays why no option to change the UI to classic from evolution on Autobleem v1.0.1 but is there in settings on 1.0.0? Patton, you might get some feedback on this one as you recommended (and linked) the...'32GB EVO Select Memory Card and Sabrent SuperSpeed 2-Slot USB 3.0 Flash Memory Card Reader' ...in your "Playstation Classic USB Drive Tips, Tricks, and recommendations!" video four years ago. I bought that reader last year but never tried it out as I got sidetracked with Retroarch on PC and Kindle Fire. After seeing your USB 3.0 warning in this video though I immediately gave it a test. I can confirm the model you suggested years back works fine both in Autobleem and Retroarch on the Playstation Classic. So if anyone picked it up like I did, they should be fine.
I ended up finally setting this up for myself last month lol and it was pretty easy to do! What I love about your guide here is that you actually show/talk about BIOS and themes too. My set up is slow at first because I think it's "loading" all the games in the background. I use a Kingston 2.0 32GB USB (with about 2GB of free space) with a powered USB 2.0 hub.
Thanks for the continuous updates on mini modding patton! It's great to see. I got a mini snes and was about to add some games, but after looking at videos about it, it seems that there's a need for a general how to video, which answers some questions that I think everybody would like to know. I, for example, didn't know the following and am still looking for definitive answers: There is a limit to how many games you can add to your mini with hakchi. Something with the UI? You can "lock yourself out" of Retroarch when configuring the buttons. What to do then? If you delete games from your pc that you already exported to your mini, the next time you sync with hakchi, they will also be deleted from your mini. Any work around to this? Difference between the portable and the desktop version of hakchi? And where to place it, computer or USB? A video covering puestions like the above would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for this helpful tutorial. Is there a list of changes that Autobleem 1.0.1 provides over previous iterations? I couldn't find a changelog in the zip, the Discord seems to only explain changes up to version 1.0.0, and the subreddit stops at version 0.9.0
Ehh here's the issue, a ps game is almost 4gb, internal storage of minis is like 300-400mb so not enough, if you wanted to add games from 16-32-64 bit, ( atari2600, NES, SNES, Sega, GBC, TBG×16, N64, etc then compressed you can fit 300-700 of those games right on internal storage of console
Hey, thanks for still posting about PSC. Do you know by any chance if anyone will be releasing another version of Retroboot, or is the project completely abandoned?
so ive been trying for about 5 hours, have used 5 usb sticks a powered usb hub and tried the direct in controller port 2 method, redownloaded a fresh download around 6 times now and still cant get autobleem to boot up. it always boots to stock menu. im out of ideas now, ive wasted so much money on what now seems like something that will never work
All due respect here at 0:43 I used the exact USB Flash Drive shown there and had nothing but problems because it was 64GB and not 32GB which leads to having to do some kind of formatting to get FAT32 which I could not figure out at all. Kind of misleading for people that aren't total computer nerds when it comes to this stuff.
This is all just dragging and dropping... If you cant figure out how to format a USB drive then you really shouldn't be touching your computer at all. edit: bro I just did that in 3:00 minutes top. Plug USB in. Go to my PC. Right click the USB drive. Hit format. Under file system pick fat32.
So this is a really noob question are the games transferred off of the USB drive onto the PlayStation Classic or will the games be stored on the USB and will I need to use a USB drive every time I power on the PlayStation Classic?
Exactly what i am wondering. Would be nice to go over the tiny details like this along with the bigger ones. This is always appreciated, but I guess we will have to try it ourselves.
for me it automatically boots into Retroarch instead of autobleem. Also in Retroarch i cannot turn off the system without unplugging it. When i go to quit Retroarch the screen goes black for a few seconds and turn on again after that. Does anyone know a way how to fix this?
I don't have any experience with Eris, so I can't really say. But I've been using Autobleem for years and it's very impressive and easy to use. Also with Autobleem nothing is installed to the system itself, it all remains on the flash drive.
Are you referring to the flash drive? I have the same Sandisk cruz 64 gb that he has. It doesn't give the option to format to Fat32. It has the upgraded version wich is called exFAT. That won't work. Most newer drives over 32 GB don't support FAT32 anymore in windows only 32 and below. Hope that answers your question.

Not only are your tutorials as amazing as always, the fact you used a chip tune version of Run to the Hills is epic!!
Hadn't realized we were up to v1.0.1. Time to update!!!
just noticed that the music in the background is run to the hills of Iron Maiden , yeah dude !
What's up Patton! It's Tom Mc. I just picked up a classic mini and need this tutorial. Thanks brother!

How to connect a second controller while have the USB in?!I have tried to use a USB port but it doesn't work
Gotta get a mini USB OTG adapter. I just got 3 for $5 Amazon and plug in back of ps
Thank you so much for your tutorials.
Is it possible to connect 2 paddles for 2 players games as one usb slot is used with usb key ?
Thank you Patton!
Is there a way to put the games on the system's internal storage or does the USB drive have to stay in the second port to use the added games?

You can't compress PS games, unless you use PCSXPSP file download I think
Iron maiden run to the hills as video game music
I have a USB 2.0 128gb but it doesn't work?
Thanks for showing us 💎💪🏽😉
Hey, thanks for still posting about PSC. Do you know by any chance if anyone will be releasing another version of Retroboot, or is the project completely abandoned?
Great tutorial, thanks
When I download roms there's only 2 files ? On the video here you have loads ?????
This was a great tutorial, made use of my classic. Thank you.
What a coincidence, me and yours flash drive are the same, and they have the same marks on the male end of the USB stick

@Coccyx69 I followed this video step by step and it didn't work
Does this let you run mini with out need a USB plugged in
i did everything and when i opened the new game it worked but then turned black. how do i fix
which classic console do you recommend the playstation or the snse ...?
I bought the exact usb drive linked in this video and did all the steps, but it's not doing anything when plugged into my PSC. Any suggestions?
Link is dead :(
I downloaded autobleem there was no games folder just apps autobleem and retroarch 😢
So this is a really noob question are the games transferred off of the USB drive onto the PlayStation Classic or will the games be stored on the USB and will I need to use a USB drive every time I power on the PlayStation Classic?
Question, do you by any chance know how we can edit/change the names of our installed games without them being unable to read?
Does it also accept .CHD files in the Games folder?
Would an external hard drive work as well?
Autobleem used to work on my usb i had games on it but i tried put more games on it and now the ps mini wont register autobleem ? Anyone know why
does it matter if i drag the folder containing the .bin and .cue files? or should I just drag the files
Exactly what i am wondering. Would be nice to go over the tiny details like this along with the bigger ones. This is always appreciated, but I guess we will have to try it ourselves.
@Born... if you have tried it, does it work? I have them in folders so it would be alot easier if I could just drag the folders lol

also pressing the power button on the ps classic doesnt help
Other youtubers (baulty, Madlittlepixel, Dammit Jeff) are using Samsung FIT 128GB which is USB 3.1 though.
The Samsung Fit 256 gb also works
What does the Update RA Config option do?
Still running in May 2024?
But where's this music coming from? I want some 8 bit soad
Can the bin and cue files be in their own sub folder for eaxh game?
It work to play SEGA dream cast ?
so question for ya will micro sd card with a 2.0 usb adapter work?
the link to autbleam wont load
You know how i can put covers on the games for other systems?
The main problem with all of these mod tools is the USB 2.0 issue. Why cant any of them make it to where you can use 3.0 and above?
its an issue with the power limit on the front usb ports, you have to hard mod for more power which is required for usb 3.0
@@cassandroroque5755 I see. You would think they would have fixed this issue before they even came out with these mini consoles🤷♂
Is there way to play 4 players on classic
Is it possible to play added games with 2 players?
Which console roms is THIS PS1 ABPE TO HANDLE ??
Wasnt autobeem superseeded by project eris?
Different groups, different apps.
@@PattonPlays Would you recommend autobleem over project eris then? Im currently on project eris, but I exclusively play PS1 and SNES games on my PSC

I have a SanDisk Ultra Shift USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive, will it work properly?
No has to be 2.0 and below
Should, I use a PnY 3.2 512gb, elite maybe,, multi speed drive, but dl rufus 4.6, name drive SONY, reformat to Fat32, non bootable 32kb
Do we need to make a folder for the game files or must it be the bare files in the games folder?
The games you add go directly in the games folder, basically right below the memcard and savestates folders found in the same games folder
can someone tell me WHY usb 3.0 doesn't work?
ua-cam.com/video/n6gYodsQWEY/v-deo.html
it says fat 32 not supported

You can use third party formatting tools to format to Fat32 if the drive is over 32 gb
Doesn't it support exfat.
no need flash now?
I am not seeing a fat32 I am seeing exfat
dl Rufus 4.6, reformat to large Fat32 non bootable 32kb
