I have implemented EAC into a testing environment and I am having the hardest time trying to prevent it from syncing every new email it detects with every single record that the contact is associated with. If I have 3 different opportunities going for a single contact, I don't want all 3 email threads ending up on all 3 opportunities!
Is there a way to configure EAC so that emails ONLY associate with the record that the email was sent from - or if an email comes in without any context it can just sit on the Contact record's activity timeline (and, again, *not* be on any related records like the Opportunities).
    Would greatly appreciate any insight!

Thanks for your question! EAC does not know which opportunity to associate the email to, or at least it hasn’t been programmed to handle certain use cases. For opportunities, activities begin 60 days before the opportunity’s created or closed date, whichever is earlier. Activities end 60 days after the current date (for open opportunities) or 60 days after being closed (for closed opportunities). If multiple opportunities fall into that date range for the same contact, the email will be associated to all of them.
You can manually remove emails from a record and associate them to other records. Hope this provides some insight!

@@DBServicesUSA Thanks for the response! That makes sense & aligns with what I have been piecing together from the documentation and community threads. Really hope Salesforce bolsters this product's capabilities because right now it just not have the common-sense you'd expect from an email integration product.
      Thanks again.

I set up the integration as you showed and I:
    - create an event in salesforce and see the event in gmail calendar.
    - create an event in gmail and cannot see the event in salesforce calendar
    - i send an email to my gmail adress but i cannot see the email in salesforce related to my record.
    What might be the issue?

      1. Ensure you have turned on ‘Show Synced and Captured Events on the Salesforce Calendar.’
      2. Double check you are using one of the records that Einstein looks for (Business Accounts, Person Accounts, Contacts, Contracts, Leads, Opportunities, or Quotes.) Then ensure your record meets the specific data and date range for Einstein to add activities.
