Great video! My trail elbow is always looking for the right path! I like your illustrations and then you hit the ball. Can you show a super slow motion view of your shot so we can see the lesson in action? Thanks!
I'll keep the idea of slow motion but I really need the viewers to understand that what we do and what we try to do IS NOT THE SAME. If we get the idea from a slow motion video we will not get better, some things needs to be exaggerated to even happen.
Great timing on this video. I have been struggling with where my left elbow should be. In my case it feels like I have to keep my elbow really close to my side and a little in front of my body or I will swing the club outside in. Thanks
It would be great if you had some slo-mo videos from the side and down the line. Would you explain "push" and "pull"a little better? Do you actually force (push) your left hand out using force like pushing a door open and "pulling" your right hand to close the door? I’m a little confused
I'm not pulling forward with my lead arm but I'm pushing with my trail (left) arm. Just like pushing against anything, like a door. This is nothing you can see but you can learn to feel. And if you understand that pushing against the handle will speed up the club you also have a good reason to do it.
Marcus you say have your elbow close to your side for the push draw. Is it the same close ness for driver, fairway woods, irons and wedges? Keep elbow close for all and push out?
love your videos. trying to swing more from inside I end up topping my driver now more than ever. Should I just T up the ball more and just bring the ball up?
I seen a lot of talk about grip and right arm based on the length of wrist to elbow versus elbow to shoulder, everyone body is different. Makes swing and grip more natural and a lot easier
Everyone is different but telling people to swing a certain way because the length of forearm is a certain length are plain stupid. According to the I should swing outside to in and I am not.
Regarding the idea of the rear hand passing the forward hand, I understand the idea of pushing with the rear hand. When I do the hockey slap shot, I feel my forward hand pulling backwards while the forward hand pushes forward. When you say the hands work together do you feel the forward hand kind of pulling the handle backwards while the rear hand pushes forward? I can easily make the hands swap sides if I do that. I hit a little thin though. Thank you for your help.
I can feel that my hands have different speeds but I need to swing very slow to feel the backward move in the lead hand. It's been automatic for so many years (20 years) and it happens if I don't stop it.
@@GolfwithMarcusEdblad thank you for that. The other way I feel the release is if I make the lead arm and wrist very relaxed. Like it’s hanging on but doing nothing else. Then I really feel the push of the rear arm and strike the ball very well. I think you alluded to this in one of your videos.
Thankyou Marcus. Just one little question that maybe give you an idea for one video. About the feeling on "in to out" path. Are they different in "feeling scale" for long club vs short club? I feel I need less extreme with short iron a more with long clubs. am I wrong?
I noticed when I stop the video frame, at impact you are not bent to the side much, but more vertical in your posture. I want to do this, as it is more body friendly. would you consider doing a video on how you stay more vertical in your forward swing at impact vs tilted to the side. My right rib cage gets sore after range practice and it's because of my tilt. I want to eliminate my tilt...but seem to top the ball then.
Question. I have noticed that you set your club head about 4-5 inches inside the ball at address. Then you reach out and then position the club head behind the ball before starting backswing. Is this something I should be doing? Is this covered in a video of yours? Thank you.
I do the same with all clubs and there is no though about it but in this video I explain why it became this way: ua-cam.com/video/_K0KHj9QiaY/v-deo.htmlsi=LuC856cFMqB4IBSr
have a ?,would like to know your comments on swingweight, cutting a driver down lowers the swingweight considerably, should i leave them that way or add weight to them
Hi. Only way at the moment is to visit me in Sweden. I'm working on a system to do online support/lessons but it's hard to get all the info I want to to a good job.
1. On the follow through, can I think of throwing the toe of the club in a catchers mit, where would that be? 2. can you put an alignment stick down for swing path?
Swing path, if you put two sticks in the ground on 45 degree angel on your target line, does it feel like you swing under the back one and over the forward one
swing path- I’m trying to get the feel; on my drive to work, I realized you can use two balls or head-covers as well, swing inside the back one, throw the toe up, missing the front one. is that close ?
@@GolfwithMarcusEdblad yes but what I mean is can you tee it up same height and hit up on it and release early like the driver cheers.im pretty could at the driver now but don't know were to release with the irons.im just thinking about a par 3 nine hole course seeing off on a shot hole like a driver with a iron ?
@@GolfwithMarcusEdblad sorry all I mean is can I hit the ground before the ball like you do with the driver say like with a 7 iron teed up on a shot hole ?
Super cool. Thanks buddy. I noticed that when I let my arms hang down in the set up, it was easier for me to hit a draw 🥴. What is your thought about that? Close to the body, hanging lose or stretched forward? Ps. Playing my best golf at the moment following your directions. 🙏🏻❤️🏌🏻♂️
Thanks!
Thanks you so much. 🙏 Glad you find value in my videos.

Thank you Sir. 😁
That was a goodie Marcus! Clear explanation- no fuss. That's why we're here!! Thank you!
Thanks, I will try to keep it that way. 😁
Your instructions are great ,a good teacher
🎉
Glad you like them! Thanks. 🙏
Great video and concepts. Would like to see some slow motion in your videos to further clarify your instruction. Thanks
Hi Ken. I can do that when we can swing outside again as long as all viewers understand that what we do and what we try to do is not the same...
This really sheds more light on the idea of a push draw, because it looks like you're just pushing something on a table about waist height!
Sounds good. 👍

@@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Very true. I use video of my swing to "check" myself with my "try to do" with what I "actually do".

The cause could be that the tee is to low or the ball is to far forward. Move it back or tee it up better and find what works. 👍

I will think about that. My body movement is a result of using more arm and how I use them. Nothing I'm practicing.

An uppercut isn't a push though is it ?
Both are an extension of the arm and a transportation of the hand. Exactly the same muscles are working in a push and a hit.
