    A former central bank official and football association chief were among those featured in a high-profile four-part series that began airing on Chinese state-run television in December 2023. The programmes appeared amid a renewed anti-corruption campaign in China, with President Xi Jinping vowing to go after “flies and ants” following a record number of detentions of so-called tigers in the government. The Post cannot verify whether the confessions were made under duress.

    Next step: The Chinese government should prohibit any official's immediate family members from engaging in business and participating in the stock market. Publicly disclose all income. Direct relatives of officials at or above the county level are not allowed to have any foreign green cards. National level leaders should hand over all assets to their spouses and children before taking office, and are not allowed to own personal assets other than wages for life.

      Agreed 👍..The government officials, of course, can invest in anything they like, but the FAIR RULES must apply as equally as everyone else's without any VIP short cut or easy ways out..That is CLEARLY CHEATING == GOVERNMENT'S OFFICIALS ABUSED THEIR OFFICIALS ROLES FOR THEIR OWN INTERESTS ..This is how CORRUPTIONS STARTED..Period..

    • @okwatever3582
      @okwatever3582 Рік тому

      Sadly, it’s a dilemma. If the government wants to hold office, the rule is to help each other. The rules are just that simple for them. Money and support come hand in hand. An official supporting the system would have enough benefits that they would not act against the system. To them, it’s business and survival in the system. To outsiders, it’s corruption. Controlling green card and foreign identities is hard. As they have so much money and business all intertwined with the system. The anti-corruption campaign is like a person cutting of a part of their limb and find something else to replace it. Sure, it can be replaced, but the replacement is not well-integrated to the body-the system.

    Unlike in other countries where corruption by public officials is legalized and accepted as normal (through lobbying, political donations, and pork-barreling), China maintains a zero-tolerance policy for corruption. Since 2012, more than 2.3 million government officials have been prosecuted. Prosecutions of corrupt public officials are rare in other countries because they are accepted as the norm, and are promoted to other roles instead when exposed.

    今年的纪录片有一点我很关注
    多次提到了权力不受限制,过于集中,以及要进行体制改革,解决这一类问题。
    这是积极的,代表未来正常情况下权力会进一步被制约。当然特殊情况下政府仍然拥有绝对权力。
    有些失望的是,制度改革的内容并没有在纪录片展示出来,仅仅提到了一个数据统计监管系统。这代表着未来科技用来限制权力。但不以为这会有直接民主和更加透明化的政治决策。
    个人来讲,我一直认可中国的政治决策能力。但也不可否认,出于内因外因,中国这段时间经济表现不好。改革开放以来人民不关心政治,政府也更喜欢把政治放到盒子里。但在面对困难时,透明决策,讲清未来政治走向和决策原因才能团结人民。现在的年轻人不是不能选择找一份一般的工作,而是迷茫,是成长中见到了中国的高速发展遍地黄金但自己到社会上却变天了。政治可以缓解迷茫。

      習主席家人一直很有錢, 從商已久, 主要是他夫妻倆從政。你以為國與國官員來往, 只為探訪開會? 看看美國議員一直罵, 家人和金主就一直來投資做生意。升學, 投資和移民都是互相優惠。

    Yes the corrupt officials have taken the matter very seriously, investigated themselves in record time, and declared themselves innocent 😂😂

      nah bro, you're describing the US where even the food banks are running out of food because donations are down since donors can barely afford food themselves due to high inflation.
