  • I interviewed Kali Muscle! We talk about his story before and during bodybuilding, steroids, why he didn’t want to go pro, and of course his heart attack! Then we discuss his health status today, my concerns about his health after his heart attack, and what all men on androgens can learn from his story.

    Kali looks great now! 10 years younger. I hope he can find peace in his mind and not carry the anxiety heart attacks bring afterward. Prolonged anxiety will lead into depression. Whether you like him or not, he is our iron brother and we need to send him positive vibes, not this weird internet hate we have become accustomed to. Ok, he came off his meds, that’s on him. Sometimes people have to find their niche. Possibly going back on them, seeing what works and what doesn’t for him. Listen, I couldn’t stand him for a long time (and I’m from E Oakland!) but you could always tell his heart was in the right place (no pun intended). He was talking trash and performing. No different than a pro wrestler. We need people like him to put some spice into bodybuilding. We need heroes and heels (how you seen him is your perspective). Take care of yourself Kali, I’m rooting for you bro.

      I absolutely believe that steroids and other hormones could be administered in a manner that reduces harm. The problem is that the human body is constantly adjusting to change by the second. A guy like this Doc, for instance, has the ability to consistently monitor every marker in his blood as frequently as he wants and make adjustments accordingly. And of course, when you see a guy like Bezos pushing T don't even entertain the idea that he's on any UA-cam gurus' drug plan. He has doctors monitoring him around the clock for anomalies. Reality is that not many people have access to this kind of on-the-fly monitoring or even care to seek it out. Certainly not gym bros. We know bodybuilders aren't doing it, they've been dropping like flies the last few years. Guaranteed Kali never did nor does he now.

    I hope he gets back on at least some of his meds, i've been exposed to the same issue recently (family member) and the conclusion is pretty dire.. the heart sustains irreparable damage from a heart attack / cardiac event. Once that muscle is damaged it'll continue to degrade, the meds being prescribed by the doctors help reinforce the damaged heart and help prevent dangerous arrhythmias. Ultimately the heart will never heal even with a perfect diet but the degradation can be slowed with the help of the meds. The entire process is a balancing act between quality of life and reinforcing the heart.
    Massive respect to Kali for doing this, i'm certain it'll help people out there.

      @@thomasoconnor1570Sadly there is a lot of conflicting advice out there if people choose to look for it, I could probably find an article advocating a potato only diet and it's benefits if I looked hard enough.. Unfortunately almost all of these theories hold no water and aren't a patch on the medical advice offered by professionals like yourself who've put the time in to study the field. Thank you for doing what you do, it's an awesome thing to put yourself out there and help/educate others.

      That's true, it won't ever fully heal, but if the extent of the damage is very small then he can easily live like this with no problems at all. If a heart is severely damaged, then a person should absolutely take the doctor prescribed medications, it's much safer to do that. We just don't know the extent of the damage, or I don't think he mentioned it did he?

    What was his calcium score? After ten+ years of blasting medium sized cycles I’ve been lucky enough to have zero calcium scores. Two of them now. I don’t blast anymore, once I got into my late 30’s I gave it up. Cycles never went over 1000mg per week. Never took tren.

    I did powerlifting and bodybuilding years ago I started on the sauce at 16 years old ...did not come off cycle up until I was 29.... And yes ate like a animal to keep getting bigger....was very young and didn't know a lot about the anabolic side I had tons of supply if you know what I mean... But always trained hard and like I said ate 6 to 8 meals a day...then from I will say 35 to 42 only was in the gym off on those years more off then on....so be off the sauce did mess with my mind 100 percent....so come to 43 years old had something Kali Muscle had....and doctors said has to do with genetics...but the also said all the gear and peds you did surely didn't help at all....If I can tell all young bodybuilders and powerlifters ...stay off the sauce....it's not worth it.

      @@alexandruturza7131 I think it depends on the persons goals, and life style. It always depends on the specific person anyway, which is something people always forget when making definitive statements like that. That's way too simplistic anyway, but I get your point, and it does have value. It also doesn't seem to apply to Kali at all, and it definitely doesn't apply to a lot of those bodybuilder who died so young. You're talking about some guys who had success, but they all pretty much lived very miserable depressing lives. I mean several committed suicide. Sad stuff. In general though, I do think your point has some value as I said earlier.

    Kali is a genetic freak look at the muscle he still has with a test level of 280 😮

    • @billj4525
      @billj4525 10 місяців тому

      That's not surprising at all, he's lean but small as all hell. Considering how big he was before he lost a ton, he's less than 185. How small would you expect him to get? He would be a lot bigger if he was hitting the weights hard and eating more. Just because his test levels go down doesn't mean he's going to lose all that muscle really fast. I mean he could have 0 test levels, and it would still take a long time to lose a lot of muscle if he was working out heavy and eating more. I mean he would lost a lot, but it would take a while. His test levels have only been 280 for probably less than a year. With good genetics there are guys who are jacked with 280 test levels, and Kali has good genetics as well. In reality you should be surprised that he lost so much muscle so fast, that's how I looked at it, but I understand how I physique is built and maintained, and how genetics and how heavy you lift affects it. I have amazing genetics myself, so I was shocked he lost everything so fast, but I attribute to his watermelon diet and not lifting heavy. He's almost down to 180, and if you watch him at the gym he's pretty damn weak. The reason he lost so much muscle has more to do with the way he's lifting and how little he's eating. Like I said, if he just trained heavy and ate correctly for muscle size then he would be a lot bigger right now. He would lose some size at 280 test levels, but it would take a lot longer then it has. With his genetics, i'm sure he would be bigger than a lot of steroid users at 280 test levels if he lifted as heavy as he could and kept his macros in check.

    Need more of this stuff. Used to love watching Kali ordering the guards to get him hot water to cook a brick in his cell. I had just done time in jail and it's so funny because everyone wants to be a meathead in there but most of them never worked out before being locked up. Kali was a big mother fucker but with the varicose veins and bloat you can just tell his blood pressure was crazy. He's a lot smarter than some people give him credit for. Easy to talk shit about the guy but he made a successful career and made his mark in the bodybuilding community.
    Great video Doc, we need more of these interviews. This is a sad reality of the sport and so many young guys don't understand it. I admit I wouldn't have watched this channel when I began using anabolics, but I luckily never got to a point where I pushed it too hard. I look and feel great on 90mg test with 10mg dbol a few weeks at a time. I have easily hit 200lbs at 6' and 15% BF, and was 175lb completely off everything just 6 months ago. I haven't had more than 100mg test or 15mg dbol
