  • Elaine Thompson-Herah rose to athletic fame when she copped the double Olympic sprint titles at the Rio 2016 Olympics winning both the 100m and 200m titles. She's currently ranked the 4th fastest woman in 100m and 5th fastest in 200m. However, since having success in track and field, Elaine has battled an ongoing achilles injury. Here she chronicles the highs and lows of the journey and we have some good fun in between.

Exactly. Listening to Elaine and Shelly-Ann and Dina-Asher Smith and Gabby Thomas and Allyson Felix speak (all the "and"s are on purpose, LOL) is like a breath of fresh air, not because they are articulate, but also very composed and graceful. While I understand not judging a book by its cover, but people must understand that people naturally don't respond quickly to persons who seem stoic whereas a warm personality is more endearing and easier for people to respond positively to. Yendi, the humbleness of this young lady and the how she is relating her story simply, is tearing me up. I like the life lesson she taught to all age groups, of the importance o following instruction and LISTENING.

Wow! This is so eye opening! I hope the people who are quick to criticize these athletes whenever they don’t perform well take note of the things Elaine has said about the hardship of an athletes life. I could never do what they do so I appreciate them showing up to represent our country! Elaine, you’re a ⭐️

I respect her privacy and how much she allows us to see in her life but I hope now she is a double double Olympic champion, we get more interviews like this and a glimpse into her life!!!

    🇯🇲 Elaine, respect to you.
For all the accolades & titles bestowed on you, your best gifts are that which emanates from within.
Your meekness, decency & self-assurance are your enablers, that allows you to yield graciously to your rivals until its time for you to shine.
After each win, a tactful smile & an accompanied "thank you" is enough to quench the hype from praises & promised pots of gold that awaits ahead.
Elaine, thanks for being you, thanks for being a lady.

Looking forward to seeing her smash the 200 tomorrow and also looking forward to seeing what hair she will have.
