I love how Robert is honest. In every interview his answer to "How are you?" is vague and not the fake "Amazing!" or "Fantastic!" you normally hear in these interviews. I hate when people ask me how I am when they're not really interested in the real answer unless is absolutely positive.
Playing music is not a job for Robert, but he takes it seriously and he's perfectionist. The Cure songs are above the time. And Robert is artist. And a good human being. Lucky me to be his fan.
ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!! He is correct in every way of his music and how he manages it and perceives it. He knows the right way of how to utilize it and is correct that everything else out there is absolute rubbish!
Another thing's that Robert's SO humble too-an awesome quality. Love his awkwardness, makes him even MORE Lovely & Lovable! He can't even accept his own compliment, lol
Robert Smith is so deep and a lovable man. He had such a good reflection on himself and his life, he’s enjoying being him and the interviewer doesn’t really get it.
He talked in interviews about hating monarchy and the royal family throughout his entire career-- since the 80s. At the time of this interview, the queen was already old-- obviously she would likely die within the following decade or so.
I don’t know how I came across this, but I’m glad I did. Even if the interviewer didn’t pick up every cue or know all the right things to say, Robert was clearly in the mood to talk and play along, no matter what. No awkwardness. Just hanging out backstage after a show, having a chat. It was really comfortable to watch.
I think Robert Smith is absolutely top notch. I’ve always imagined him personally as this monolithic, impenetrable genius, aloof and brooding... yet here he seems like just a nice , interesting guy. But if I could see any band, now, I’ve never seen , I’d love to see the Cure. What a band, and still top notch. It’s awesome Roberts voice has held up the way it has. I saw the video of the Cure at the NME awards that got me on a kick of looking back at them, though I listen to their records all the time
Fantastica intervista ad un uomo eccezionale, non smetterei mai di guardarla e riguardarla. ❤ Fantastic interview with an awesome man, I would never stop looking at it and re-watching it. ❤
I spent a week end with Robert , as a friend of his brother in law, he is everything you would hope, such an individual talent, but so down to earth and ironically normal! Moaning bastard sometimes too! 😂😂 love his patter
Oh my gosh, this is so good! I'm laughing at the poke him with a stick comment. Lovely man. Especially enjoyed his views on his music. I hope he sings for as long as he enjoys it!
He is so delicate and cute, sometimes I get the feeling that he needs interviewers who are not too high up because he gets very uncomfortable as if he has a phobia
Damals als Kind „Lullaby“ gehört und das Video gesehen und es war um mich geschehen. Seitdem ist es eines meiner Lieblingstracks von Robert und The Cure
The queen died on the 7th, but announced dead on the 8th. Spot on! Did anyone notice when he put his mic down, I think after he realized he has said a lot?
@@godlivesunderwater she died on the 7th around 6pm, but they didn’t report it till the next day most likely for privacy within the royal family and time to mourn without public attention
So glad he doesn't try to change/modernize some of those older songs/hits....he's right, their more famous songs do NOT feel the same when they're changed. Hate when bands do that. He's so amazing
@@trippy2338 if he was drunk, he probably had some inside information and spilled the beans by mistake. idk the queen is evil man she wasn’t a great person. She operated about 36 residential schools as the supreme governor of the church. I think she’s with the elites and that this was all planned. A bunch of distractions are coming to the media now as we see polio out break in NY things are going to get worse and worse until we collapse economically
So this was 10 years ago and we still haven’t seen any new releases. It would have been good to have released those post-Four Thirteen Dream songs by now. It would be great to know what’s happened to them.

It’s 2022 and this guy literally predicted the Queens death a decade before it happened.
he didnt say she was going to die in 2022, so he was 10 years late, not sure how that can be a prediction
He talked in interviews about hating monarchy and the royal family throughout his entire career-- since the 80s. At the time of this interview, the queen was already old-- obviously she would likely die within the following decade or so.
He predicted the exact date but it was announced the next day…wow!! Really impressive
