Skizee is a death trap when the operator falls, especially at 25 mph.

Thanks for this excellent group of "iinventions" that I haven't heard of. The one that I am most concerned about is the propeller for cross country skiers. I have a number of concerns about it. Having spent a good amount of my life cross country skiing in remote areas of Wisconsin, one of the biggest changes I noticed was the increased noise pollution from snowmobiles throughout remote areas. There was a constant hum of snowmobiles coming from every direction. There are seemingly no longer any places skiers can go to get away from these irritating sounds (like mosquitoes buzzing in your ears). Another issue that I have with these new devices has to do with helping skiers get up the hill so that they can go downhill (apparently with little effort?). Maybe I'm missing something but skiers work hard going in both directions. In fact, I would argue that many of my cross country ski trips were harder going down than going up. Going up, takes more effort in getting your own weight up the hill but you're moving slow enough to easily avoid dangers. Going downhill takes more skill to avoid much more serious dangers. And is that monster going to follow you down the hill? I can only see this device as putting inexperienced cross country skiers more easily in situations that require more skill they have to come back down.
At the same time they are going to be a huge irritant to those skiers who want to get away from those awful things.

It appears to be intended for downhill skiers, not cross country. Not quite sure how they are supposed to take it downhill with them. From what I see in other vids, you let it push you down the same as uphill, so I guess you simply can't use it for slopes you intent to go down faster than 25 mp/h.
Since it's electric, it should be more quiet than snow mobiles, but it's still gonna make noise, of course.
Also, it appears there are reviews about this device from 2019, linking to the manufacturer website that no longer exists, so I suspect they didn't make a profit.

At no point was I told this video was about "new" things. Just "INGENIOUS INVENTIONS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT" as the title says. We should know about mine clearing tech because of Russia and Ukraine both using mines in the current conflict.
