While some inventions are monumental, others are incremental improvements, both contributing to progress.

Who wants a boat where you’re trapped in a bubble? Don’t people want to fish and enjoy the sun? It’s super cool, but has limited appeal.

3:00 - 30 days living in a flooded toilet? Oh yeah, that's going to be SUPER popular.
The longest anyone will be able to endure such a sh1tbox will be 3 days. And even that will be absolutely disgusting.
There is no space tourism industry until the accommodation section has around 0.3G, so you can eat, sleep and go to the toilet without a problem.
Thinking otherwise is pure Lala land.

Lots of technology replacing human labor is here. The question is what sort of retraining and jobs will be available for these redundant workers?🤔 This question issue is not exclusive to to “blue collar” workers as A.I. can already successfully perform many of the work of legal professionals such as fighting a traffic ticket, drafting contracts, and filings, etc

A waste of billions of dollars so rich tourists cans go up and see the planet they’re destroying. Money and effort that could be used to save civilization. The planet won’t cease to exist, humans will.

If it’s their money they can spend it anyway they want regardless of how others may view such spending. You are certainly free to generate billions in wealth and spend it to save civilization. Others are free not to.

None seem that advanced. Try to figure out how the intricate sculptures of India and Cambodian Temple's made out of granite were sculpted. (If sculpted is even the right word)✌

The issues of human labor being supplanted by machines is the future. Since the beginning with many inventions there have been reductions in the number or need for certain workers while increasing efficiency:
1: Domesticated animals with horsepower replacing the number of human to work a field and in less time.
2: The wheel by eliminating the need for a number of workers to individually transport materials and increasing the amount and speed of deliveries.
3: The Industrial Revolution machines replacing human weavers to mass produce textiles at greater speed and for lower cost.
4: The age old exploitation of production moving to where labor is cheaper, think manufacturing in China vs. Western nations.
The problem today is that the human population is booming precisely when the trend is for machines replacing the need for human labor thereby creating a massive surplus of humans with ever dwindling number of total jobs.
A.I. driven autonomous automation in construction of buildings, manufacturing, even teaching is not that far off as the work is consistent, easily fined tuned or retrained with a software or hardware upgrade = able to work 24/7 for minimal cost far below that of human labor costs.

forklift will replace 3.5 million jobs... is that a selling point? and if nobody has jobs, who will buy their products? not much foresight being employed here is there?

Increased efficiency leads to increased productivity which leads to expansion. Expansion will always produce more jobs. Going the other direction would result in a return to pre-industrial inefficiency and limited production potential.

@@thatfeeble-mindedboy expansion always produces more jobs.. like all the jobs created with the oil pipelines that are cancelling thousands of trucker jobs while keeping oil at the same price? expansionism always leads to failure... put down the karl marx book and read something else..

Companies only consider the bottom line, who can buy thier products does not come into the equasion, I work for a massive bakery they only sell to grocery stores and distribution depots, they don't care who can afford to eat. They are also in the midst of spending about 30 million to eliminate 25 full time jobs, if they could run the plant with no humans they would in a heartbeat, they are just greedy corporate pos!
