Well, that's odd😂 nice odd but still odd, maybe she just lost condition In your dry spell 🤷 spring is taking a lunch break here we had a massive storm come up from Antarctica and dump three inches of snow after over a week of 18 Celsius/65 Degrees F and cloudless skys so the darn flowers are coming out and the bee's can't fly🤦 did a hive reversal too a day before it slammed us, it was supposed to miss but came right up the middle of the south island 😬 I boost feed so plenty of pollen sub and sugar fondant on already, when you live in the mountains it pays to cover your options despite what the weather man says because it can turn back into winter in the middle of summer here😂 hope you feel better soon 👋👍 God bless you and your family and your bee's too😃
Well it was odd for sure, it appears that I am queen right in all of them, no clue where she came from. How are your bees doing? Winter is coming. Thanks for watching.
Tim, This happens rarely…. It has happened to me once…. It is called a usurpation, a group of bees (sometimes termed a swarm) with a queen settles on the outside of an established colony close to the entrance. They take over the colony with the new Queen. Happened to me with a yellow marked Queen taking over a pink marked Queen…. Mike Barry made me aware of this uncommon happening with honeybees…. More common with Africanized Honeybees, but, it can happen with them all…. Hope this helps my friend…. USURPATION

Starting to wind down here and you are just getting started, good luck this season. Thanks for watching.
One never knows what they will find in a beehive. I've had this happen to me too. Strange. Glad you found a queen in there.

It is odd for sure, I checked everyone else, evidently, wherever she came from, they must have requeened. I have brood in all of them.
Love the intro music
