Thanks for a very helpful video. I used the big 777X buses to and from Coolangatta airport & they were great. And the light rail is perfect because almost anywhere you want to go is right next to the tram line.
I live further north on the tramline but use it and the 777 bus to the airport. I have no idea why you used the 700 when the 777 is somewhat faster with only a handful of stops along the way and takes you right to the airport door. And it costs no more than the 700. And the 777 runs every 15 minutes every day. GC airport is one of few in the world readily accessible by fast public transport at normal city fares.
@@monstertoy4620 Well the 777 still runs but the large double deck buses have been replaced by tiny battery buses which twice have left me standing at the airport - first time I had to stand for the entire trip to the tram, just in February the driver said the bus was full and 6 of us were left standing till the next bus came.
Here are a couple of pointers that you’ve got wrong. 1. 2:10 Load $10 of go card credit buying a go card. 2. 2:27 Touch On at Cavill Avenue and 4:45 Touch Off at Broadbeach South at card readers provided. 3. 5:14 Touch On at 700 Tweed Heads at Broadbeach South Bus Stop and 6:30 Touch Off at Bilinga. This equates to travelling to 2 zones from Zone 5 - 6. This equals to $4.11 per journey and $3.29 per off-peak journey.
Apparently the go cards you can pay $10 a day and ride as much as you want for essentially free (pay a very small fee if you ride) and then at the end of your trip you can hand your card back to the transport booth at the airport for a refund on what you didn’t use 🤷🏼♀️
great video. time for an update. would love to see Surfers Paradise promoted ss Australia's ultra high end answer to Monaco. The Spit is going to get mega yacht berths soon so Surfers Paradise should provide the ultra high end dining and entertainment venues to go with it.
I think during peak hour then the tram will be quicker down to the airport or Coolie, Not sure about when the traffic is not bad. Maybe the bus will be quicker
OLD GOLD COAST BOY NOW LIVING IN HEAVEN , THAILAND, just got back from aus after 4years absence, will be my last trip back home, went to the casino at broadbeach lucky I won, $70 uber there, $50 back, no one is going to go to aus now , its a great country, was, now gc is over populated and way to expensive, the lucky country is now a expensive dump !
Hi guys, I would like to know that do you need to tap go card again before leaving tram? because I have never seen you tap again yet before leaving and tram.

Yep the light rail on the Gold Coast is very convenient to get around.

I love visiting Surfers Paradise. The Gold Coast is one of my favourite places to visit in Australia
I love the Gold Coast, planning to move to Surfers Paradise or Burleigh Heads

Thanks for the advice
😃
Thanks a lot mate.

Thanks for the video Mate. Do you think stage 4 light rail link will make the trip faster or slower? Cheers

You do have to tap off at the end of the trip. I did tap off but just didnt video it
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
What trip app should I download to see these trips? Thank you 😄

@@janinecabanas8507 Don’t forget to order a Go Explore card online in advance so you’re ready to go.
Really missed there…
I was on the Gold Coast last week. So good to be back
Does the tram and buses go all around goldcoast area?
The tram only goes from Broadbeach up to the northern area of Gold Coast. Buses go most places
Why don't you get 777 express to airport? more expensive?
I just took the first 777 that came along. I should have waited for the 777X. I probably would have got to the airport quicker
Is this tram in brisbane ?
No
Ithis the right way...
It is a good way to go to Gold Coast Airport. So much cheaper than a taxi
Why nobody wearing any masks there??
People in Queensland not wearing masks. They not had many cases recently. Maybe soon they will start wearing them
@@nowgettheretravel ah okay
Australia has been Covid free (mostly) for about a few weeks or months (depending on the state you’re in) now.
