My girl just laid 3 eggs. 1 fell off or she dropped , and 2 are inside a coconut. She laid all 3 at once ..today is day 1 a few more days to go. Lets see how that goes.. i am doo excited
My little Sprite was an egg layer, she was a rescue bird. She was happiest when she had eggs. When she finally bonded with a male and had a real nest she laid 11 eggs. 9 babies hatched, I took three and hand raised them. I made sure she always had plenty of calcium and she never had a problem with any “egg bound” or health situations. She was a beautiful Recessive Pied and gave me many different babies, her mate was a normal green color but must have had recessive genes. Their babies included 2 albino’s, 3 lutinos, a beautiful violet Pied, and a Grey Wing. I hand raised 3 of the babies to help the parents and I kept them. The rest all went to good homes including Sprite and her mate. She went to conscientious breeder I know. He’ll take good care of her.
My budgie laid 26 eggs once, and i was terrified. I thought it stopped, but 2 months ago she started laying eggs again, and it continues till today. This time, it's 15 eggs. They don't have a nest, I remove the eggs the second she lays them. She won't stop laying though, and i don't know what to do... we don't have vets near here and i'm worried sick for her.
I wonder if a vet near you can recommend you to an avian vet or animal hospital. I've run into similar problems too, avian vets are not as common to find.

This is definitely helpful. My cockatiel started laying eggs this week, she's laid 2 eggs so far(they're not fertile as there are no male birds in the house). Allen I have two budgies male and female and I saw them breed. Can they lay inside a coconut or does it have to be in a nest box?
Budgies would prefer a nest box as they are not like any other small bird. They feel safer laying eggs in a nest box as it is much more enclosed.

she probably needs a male cagemate and proper blackout cover over her cage at night. Increase her calcium intake she certainly needs it
this means thats infection or disease, go check straight to the vet. Hopefully Ur Bird Is Fine :D

if you have any other animals feed them the eggs
otherwise crush them and put them in your garden they're wonderful protein for anything
