I have a alloy moderator module that goes inside the original sleeve. Easy to install, just drop it in and back with the 7mm hex nut screw. The HW is not getting longer, is even more accurate and it looks better. I did not measure the sound reduction. There is reduction but it there is not a very big difference. The noise of the spring and piston are way more dominant. Cheers.👍
This is a misconception. Silencers on springers are as effective as on anything else. The action noise of a springer isn't what gets you raided by armed police like what happened to me, it's the sharp crack of the muzzle report that is mostly heard downrange, so you don't hear it nearly as loud as the action right near your ear. That report is what travels very far, and what makes ignorant people think you're shooting a firearm. The inserts in a 97 muzzle brake are ineffective as there is simply not enough volume in the thing to properly surpress it. It will help, but once you fit a high performance airgun silencer, designed for the purpose, you will hear the difference, even more so if you get someone else to shoot it as you stand at a distance. I view it as an essential piece of kit, as it makes my high powered FAC springers and low power stuff alike indistinguishable from a Rapid stapler at distance. The action noise simply doesn't carry and doesn't sound like a weapon.

Yeah tried one of them myself and not that impressed tbh.
Far prefer full proper mod only use in garden not at range etc.

what's there function?
is there any difference in noise?
No but you can add a silencer
Depending what you add you will reduce noise
