Stila Stay All Day waterproof eyeliner is also very amazing! Completely waterproof and long lasting. I wore it to the spa and it's incredible! My favourite ever!

The Stila smugestick line is also AMAZING. I have it in Midnight Green and it is so dark in pictures that it ALMOST looks black but gives a bit softer look.
Sheri A I have about a dozen of them.. they are really lovely. The perfect smudge, nice and soft but doesn't smudge away. Don't dry out either.
How do you use these smudge sticks? I bought a 5 piece set years ago and all 5 of them broke!! The twist up packaging is so weird...
Nancy Zhang I've heard reports of ones that would not advance.. but none of mine have ever been broken. I do have some that take a good while to do it though, you have to twist quite a few times. I got most of mine in the holiday sets, and some from palettes, a few individual purchases.
I agree, Nancy Zhang, that the way these sticks advance the pencil is REALLY weird and not at all obvious. I thought mine was broken at first because it wouldn't advance like any of my other pencils (and trust me, I have QUITE a collection! LOL).
How I've gotten mine to advance is a pushing motion...kind of like the old ink pens or something. I think what I do (haven't done it in a while) is to hold the pencil with one hand just above the opening where the color comes out and then push back toward the upper end of the pencil. Hope that make sense! :)
I'm in Canada so I don't know other countries, the Christmas set I got is 5 smudge sticks, every single one broke, and I was talking to my friend about this as well she said it was some manufacture problem because the Christmas set are all like this... I'm so disappointed and never bought any stila ever since
the balm's shwing is my go to matte black liquid liner. ultra black, super long lasting and super matte.
I couldnt live without MUFE Aqua Black (gel eyeliner) and Mac powersurge for the waterline. Love seeing this!

I do love the maybelline gel liner, it's adorable and good and the brush it comes with is great! I also like the kat Von D ink liner in trooper, it's long lasting and really black!

Great video. I love the Kat Von D eyeliner in Trooper. The nib is a burst not a felt and it's amazing, doesn't smudge, true black and dries to a satin to matte finish. Love it!!!

Thanks for sharing Lisa!I don't use eyeliner as often as I probably should. I wear precision tinted (green) glasses & eyeliner would really help to bring my eyes out but it's always been a step I miss out. I'm definitely going to be making more of an effort to wear liner & will be trying some of your recommendations! Xx

I would recommend Avon super shock gel liner in a pencil, it's fantastic!! just the same as you described stila pencil! Fantastic, really! and they have a plum color, fantastic too! the are really smudgeable and soft at first but then dry out to a super unmoveable thing on the eye, really cool!

Hi Lisa! Perhaps you should try out the Essence Gel Eyeliners. The Midnight in Paris (Black) shade is super deep and is super long wearing. I like it over the Maybelline one.
I'm wondering how do you use the liquid eyeliners on clients to keep everything hygienic .. or one client one use?

I love Kryolan HD liners they do not dry out as much as the MAC Fluidline ones. Also Clinique do some really soft creamy liners, great for creating a smoked eye

I've recently discovered the Benefit They're Real Push Up liner. It's incredibly long wearing and is the most dense shade of black. Also with my temperamental Asian eyelids which crease absolutely everything, it cooperates fairly well and will last most of the day. I recommend you all try it at the makeup counter and give it a test run!

***** I like only brown liners too! Black looks too harsh, so on my blue eyes brown looks great! Estee Lauder one is really great in longevity, but like many gel liners are. There is lots of cheaper dupes too :)

Always happy to see a new video from you! I always rely on your recommondations. I don't know if you have tried the waterproof pencil from Sephora. I've tried it and it is really long wearing and stops a lot of the smearing I used to get under my lower lash line.

The Rimmel eyeliner pencils are great too.
The best long lasting eye pencil I've ever used are the YSL Dessin Du Regard Crayon Yeux Haute Tenue ones.

Lisa, Estee Lauder Double Wear has amazing pencils too. It's the only brand I truly love. You should give it a try if you haven't!
Hourglass Calligraphy liquid eye liner is still available on their website but I haven't seen it stocked at other retailers like Sephora or Nordstrom in the US
I just went on the hourglass site and you can still get calligraphy but I'm in the us in case that makes a difference. Great video lisa!

I have used both Mac Blacktrack and Maybelline gel eyeliner, and I have to say that the Maybelline wins hands down for me and at a fraction of the price. Much blacker and goes on better.

Would you consider doing a video on tightlining technique, explaining when or who would be a good candidate to use this technique. I noticed you used it on Jiin Jiang in your video on an office appropriate makeup look, but I've never seen you use it on any other video. Is it because of the shape of her eyes that you felt this would work best? I am Asian and I have hooded eyes but I do not have a monolid. Thank you

I tried using it every way i could imagine and it smudges like crazy still. Maybe it was a bad batch :(

I don't really like the Ingot Gel Liner. It smudges like crazy. Maybe it's the humid weather and everything where I live but I don't usually have smudging problems with other, less expensive gel liners like Maybelline and such.
yeah it may be the humid weather, here in Austria it's not very humid most of the time and it doesn't smudge at all...
Hi Lisa! I would love to see a video sometime with a few of your favorite travel looks. I have some trips coming up where I'm planning to fly carryon and have been over obsessing about which makeup to pack for minimal day to night while factoring in liquid restrictions. I realize that's very specific but it never hurts to ask! :)
Hi Lisa, Mecca (it's like an Australian version of Space NK) still stocks the Hourglass Calligraphy eye liner if you are having trouble finding it in the UK. I had never seen the Script one before, it looks so tiny in the pictures I googled, it would be great if they brought out a similar product to replace it. Great video as always x

Fall and Climb Do you ever use an eyeprimer? Nars Pro Prime and Urban Decay (the original clear version of primer potion is the best) X
Hi Lisa Eldridge if I may, I have the same problem!
I do use eyeprimer, I haven't tried the Nars one (I will) but I have tried the Urban Decay and Too Faced's. I put the eyeliner and then try to set it with eyeshadow... I try it just over eyeshadow etc etc... with/without... I can't think in any combination I haven't tried yet but I honestly don't know if I'm asking for too much of eyeliners.
In my case Kat Von D's has done the best job so far but right now in summer time it's awful. :(
I think I'll give the Mac's liquid a try but it would be awesome if you have an other option for super oily lids.

While I'm clearly not Lisa, I too have oily eyelids, and I have found elf Eyeprimer to be wonderful! Apply it and set it with eyeshadow or a finishing powder and you're set. It's also really cheap so if it doesn't work for you no great loss. Hope this helps!
You don't need to use powder or eye primer if you use the YSL Dessin Du Regard Crayon Yeux Haute Tenue eye pencils.

I guess you'd just sharpen the pencil and have a brush for all the gel and wipe the nib of the liquid with antiseptic cleaner? Just a guess
Nassy1120 I would think she scoops out a little of the gel on to a palette, but the liquid ??? Dip the nib in alcohol ? That might irritate the next user.
maybe she just uses it one time and gives it to the model ?
I think for any cream pots or gel pots, u can wipe the top layer off to sanitize them , u are not supposed to use alcohol on them b/c it will change their texture, yes, u could scope them out and put them in a stainless steel plate...that's probably I will do if I will ever use them on other ppl

The best drugstore option for gel liner is e.l.f.'s Cream Liner. It's only $3! Obviously don't use the crap brush it comes with though.
You should give sephora felt tip liner a try someday!! :D it works so well & long lasting & really black
