Word they built these dragons. why not spend some time on dragon behavior and more lyrical shots of dragon riding etc. show is way too focused on linear plotting imo
I missed the live chat but my theory on what started the fight between Joff and Cole is that Joff saw Cole moving towards Daemon and Rhaenyra and went to tell him to chill out basically and Cole snaps on him. Either that or Joff sees he's being obvious staring at the two dancing getting heated so Joff comes over to make some comment to get him to be less inconspicuous and Cole loses it at that. I guess it doesn't matter so much in the long run what happened, just that Cole snapped and that this moment changes his character's arc.
Does anyone know where Daemon disappears to when the fight starts? He just abandons Rhaenyra all over again from my perspective but it was hard to tell what was going on.

Interesting theory on Larys. He very much does seem like a proto-Bloodraven character and he is weak and infirm, like Jojen, with a bloodline that could jive with that. IF he does have some ability, he must be FAR less powerful than Bloodraven though. He certainly got caught-out later on in the Hour of the Wolf and did not wish to go North. If he has any greenseer ability, it's clearly not enough to get him noticed by whomever was linked to the weirwoods before Bloodraven. Brings up one of my favorite things to try and figure out....the cave under the weirwood where Bloodraven ended up had clearly been used for that purpose for thousands of years, given the extensiveness of the caves and the huge number of human and CotF bones scattered everywhere. Who came before Bloodraven? Did it have to be a human? It seems very much linked to the Others, given their pretty clear link to the weirwoods. I'd be really interested in a deep-dive into the lives of all the known Commanders of the Night's Watch. If anyone would be tasked with monitoring the Others over the millenia, it would be them....I mean it's literally why their order was created. I wonder how many other high-profile Commanders or high ranking Rangers have disappeared North of the Wall, and if any of them could have ended up like Bloodraven.

I think its a control thing for him its when he in control he probably can . After seeing how his wife treated him it affected him sexually and when he can be in control and have someone underbhis control then he be fine
Tbh I dont see why. Rhaenyra's the heir. Therefore, her blood is all that matters. And Laenor acknowledged them as his so their true father is irrelevant. Plus based on what we've seen from Jace in the books he comes across as someone who would have been a capable and strong king. So if we're going by merrit alone, it would have been better for them to inherit.
I feel Harwin is a great example of the issue with the jumping this season we have had 3 scenes beetween him and Rhyenera and by next episode he is dead. The two other characters that are also due to die very soon has also gotten so little setup because of the rushed pace of the season. I really like the show but my enjoyment started to crumble last episode when I realised how much stuff we won't get to see because they are rushing instead of doing a slower 1 season and have the war start next season instead.
The thing that bums me out the most is that they really didn't need to change the lead actresses. They look old enough to act the entire DoD timeline, so this is a huge unnecessary minus. I think it will hit the ratings a lot.
I love the idea that Larys Strong is a skinchanger, but I think it's very possible that he's discovered the secret passages in the Red Keep.
