Mr Trevor, this is one of the most inspiring shows I have ever watched. This woman is intelligent, she brims confidence and values that we should all aspire to have. I love the way she splashes humor regularly the entire conversation. She is so articulate and emotionally present. She still has a very important part to play in the betterment of our country. Cant wait for part two of the conversation.

I was a kid then (now in my mid 30s), there is this lady who is holding ground, a strong voice as the opposition. She was beautiful, l saw my mom; eloquent and intelligent. Dear God bless her as she lives to tell Zimbabwe’s story, a story abt herself too.
Thanks trevor for having such icons on the show.
However, please allow such stories to be told in full. To that effect how abt pt 2 to this ICONIC LADY, what’s she up to, what’s she seeing, big lessons in our day please.

Mukoma Trevor nhasi mapedza masports. I watched this interview 3 times (I swear I have never done that before). i am a born-free and unfocused youth but this is way better than watching Mai Tt's scripted drama meant to divert the attention of the unfocused youths. This is the first time I publicly heard someone owning up about the abuse that women went through during the struggle. I vividly remember watching the movie Flame Lily in the 90s which briefly touched on this subject. I believed it when I saw it on that movie although I had never heard anyone talk about it.
Our heroines have a lot to say, they need a voice, their stories need to be documented and a good movies need to come out of it. Thank you for bringing Cde Margie. I do concur, a part 2 and good movie is needed.

Thank you for the conversation. More and much more thanks to the Veterans for their sacrifices. However, for me, we now must acknowledge that, indeed, the gvt has done quite a lot in show of gratitude to the veterans. True, the majority of them are living in poverty, BUT, that is not to say they were not given the capacity at one time. There are a lot of intervention measures the gvt took to empower and thank them, among them free basic and tertiary education in early independence years, the gratuities that among others, helped bankrupt the country, the land reform and allocations they got.
This crybaby mentality should stop and people start to become responsible for their actions. There is no government that can be everything to everyone! The empowerment they were given in all those interventions, infact should place them well ahead in their social and economic standing today. If there is something maybe for the government to do now, is to ensure they are better equiped for economic participation by way of knowledge. Then they pull themselves up by their own bootstraps!!!!!

She clearly said little developments in these three yrs and gave an example of Beatrice road which was on the plan for decades. She mentioned as well the Chitungwiza railway line as an example meaning there is little dev, saying Chitungwiza railway line project could have been given to an investor as a turn-in-key project or a lease. Mugabe gvt nd the current republic didn’t do so due to love of the kickbacks etc. Also the mentioning of little developments she did doesn’t necessarily mean she is defending the corruption which is going on wt it, she criticised the system here and there if my memory saves me well. Yes there is little dev tho not in line or proportions wt the output of our natural resources and it’s not meaningful at the moment l do agree % with u bro. The projects are paid more than the actual costs ie double if not treble hence the need to harness the leakages and do more projects.

Agree 💯per cent those men who are still alive today must be brought to book. And face justice no one is above the law.
Women have been abused for a long time men in Zimbabwe are still abusing the girlchild till this day.
Why should they go free whiteout facing those women who they abused during the war and they have children who do not know who their fathers are.
During the war they used to sing songs of not sleeping with women but they were abusing those women . We need justice for those women now.
