This game was insane!! USA had leads of 2-1 3-1 5-3 ... Then the two teams traded goals in the final 2 minutes of the game, but USA ended it winning 8-7 in Overtime winning the Bronze medal... Tough scene for team Sweden who were less than a minute away from playing in the gold medal game...

What I’m saying is I don’t think he’ll have problems recovering, a hockey career is way more than the junior World Cup. As a swede our finish was disappointing but I’d blame the players more than the goalie.. we wouldn’t be anywhere near the semifinals without him, and we’re only 35 seconds away from the gold medal game..

As a swede these two games has been tough.. so close in both semis and this game. If our powerplay worked better im pretty sure we would play for gold. Salvaged a bronze after a 6 goal streak by Canada in the SF. But it wasn't easy...those Swedes put up a great fight. To think had they not committed the icing error late in the SF against Czechia they'd play for gold right now instead of being out of the medals...I applaud you Sweden. GG. 😁👏🏾

We have 2 olympic golds, 2006 swe won both gold in the world champs and in olympics. Sweden won gold in The world championship back to back 2017 & 18. Also in 2013 and 2004. We are not as good as we were 10 years ago but we still are a easily top5 team in The world today.

As a big NHL fan and hockey fan that lives in the U.S I always root for our neighbors to the north in any game except against us. I understand the rivalry but I really couldn't figure out why the fans don't cheer for their brother to the south. I mean we share a whole entire hockey league together! That last goal. Should the goalie not have tried to poke check or be more alert seems he just stayed motionless giving the guy all the time to get the puck and take the shot. Everyone just stood there watching.

It's hard to maintain focus so soon after losing a chance to play for Gold... Yanks had the worst of it, because they played the late game and had to play again less than 24 hours later... Good on them, not giving up, plus finding a way to win this game... It wasn't pretty, but good on both teams, for fighting to the end, & giving us such an entertaining bronze medal match... won't be forgotten for quite some time...

If you talk about the USA 7-6 goal the refs did go and watch the replays and confirmed after that, that the goal was allowed. I watched it live on TV.

I jokingly said at the end of the first period that it would be wild to see a 8-8 tie going into OT! instead it was 7-7.. had it been 8-8 i would be religious now. 😅
That last goal. Should the goalie not have tried to poke check or be more alert seems he just stayed motionless giving the guy all the time to get the puck and take the shot. Everyone just stood there watching.
It was embarrassing. He just stuck to that post instead of challenging the shooter. Easy goal. I don't know what happened. If he is scared or on Bahamas mentally. From the best goalie in the tourney to letting in 8 goals. Geez

It's hard to maintain focus so soon after losing a chance to play for Gold... Yanks had the worst of it, because they played the late game and had to play again less than 24 hours later... Good on them, not giving up, plus finding a way to win this game... It wasn't pretty, but good on both teams, for fighting to the end, & giving us such an entertaining bronze medal match... won't be forgotten for quite some time...
