Great video though, the ponds certainly evolved over time.

Definitely! 2022 has a good ring to it so let’s hope I can piggy back on that and get the ball rolling and snowballing 😁 Cheers that means a lot. It’s hard to make regular videos when renovating a house and especially when I have no aquarium set up ha!

Great video, I’m thinking of buying one. Is there a follow up video to see how clear your pond is now? Also, I can’t seem to find info about what the cylindrical cartridges are at the front of the filter. And how many there are. I’m either going to buy the 90000 or the 14000. Any info you can provide would be appreciated. Paul

Thanks 🙏 Funny you should ask as it’s almost been a year since the install and we plan on going back for an update video. So yes there will be one 😁 I’m pretty sure they’re called ‘PhosLess’ and help remove phosphates from the water. I hope this helps.

    • @johanbertin2364

Paul, it is really a very good filter. The cilinders, standard it's zeoliet, to delete toxic bacteria, after 6 months, you change it with Oase Pholess, it's against alg. The size depends how big is your pond, and the kind of fish. For ponds without fish, 90000liters(for example) for normaly fish :2 = 45000liters, for koi pond, again : 2 = 22500 liter pond. My pond is 20000 liter with koi, bought the 90000 and my pump is Oase eco twin 16000. Pound is crystal clear. BUT, DON'T FORGET THE BACTERIA. Greetings jo

@@johanbertin2364 thanks. I’ve bought and installed the 90,000 and it’s fantastic. I have a 20,000 eco premium pump with 120 UV. I was advised to use alfagrog instead of Phosless. Any thoughts from your side?

HI THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO. I wonder if you can advice me, I have a 90,000l in my recently bought property. it has fishes which were dying in august when it was very hot. it has no filters or water feature. i have noticed it has a lot of gunk at the bottom and visibility is just1-2 inch. I have no experience of how to take care of it. should I use something called bio lake or what can I do. should I invest on this expensive equipment? will it sort things out?

Hi I have a few questions but not sure if i should post as this video is 3yrs old i had a bio orb before over (5yrs) but the acrylic broke as my friend wasn’t as careful as me as i disabled but i can still look after a tank but as i live alone with two cats one is a Maine Coon (4 months) & Minnie is a moggy but she is 15yrs old she used to love watching them & would curl up & like me enjoy them Angelous & Angelic so this might sound stupid by i miss the calming effects & my two used to know when it was food time Angelous (a black with a beautiful large tail with bits of sliver) & Angelic was all sliver with same large tail they still come up when i visit & still take food from the long plastic tweezers as i used pellets
But they had to go to my friends tank after another friend didn’t do as i told him to while he was handling the tank & he cracked then tank while he was cleaning it
But a lot has changed with the bio orb so i am hoping you will see this & help me with some advice & also hopefully be able to answer my questions as there a lot more options now before there was only the original bio orb & that was it even the store were not great as they admitted it was a new product it appealed to me due to maintenance as i put i am disabled also i have some questions on decorations it will be for 2 maybe 3 max goldfish as i hope you will see this & help me to pick the right tank my last was large so maybe something in between your nan’s one (which was beautiful i hope she enjoyed it) i loved the slate i wanted something similar but in wood & then some small green plants to put around
You can tell mine was old as you had to buy a special light that enabled it to turn blue only one colour lol so wanted a wooden or maybe the slate to go over the tube & then just a few small green “plants” or other idea am not sure if i could do this add maybe a mix of a couple of green “plants” & two pink would love purple it’s my favourite colour so any ideas on what combination i could do as the slate looks beautiful then maybe a mix of tall & small green & purple “plants & the one thing i struggled with was hiding the filter as used most of the air stones to go around the base of the two plants before i had a “plant” that covered the “bubble tube” it’s what i always called it then two others that i trimmed as there wasn’t much choice then as we are talking over 8yrs so i liked that style but not sure if it would be big enough to have the decorations & most
importantly 2-3 goldfish i would really appreciate any advice on the best bio sphere size to get etc i hope you can help.Marie-Clare

How is the pond doing ? I've noticed that you took the gate out And not closing the outlet back to the pond. You just emptied dirty water back into the pond. Next time close it, fill it to the fullest and the. Open the drainage. That will never put dirty water back to the pond. Your pond ks pretty dirty. Clean the filter every 3-4 weeks and your pond will be clear I'm 3 months !
