- Larger and more powerful (with 65hp) than just a delivery van, smaller and lighter than a truck: lovingly nicknamed after its production location, the "Düsseldorfer Transporter" is a high-payload vehicle in a class of its own and shapes the face of its segment from the very beginning. Launched as the successor to the L 319, the double cabin van with the angular front proudly adds another chapter to the success story of Mercedes-Benz vans. Roughly half a million units rolled off the production line at the Düsseldorf plant from 1967 until the end of production in 1986.

Max speed for me is maybe 100km if we take over 😂. Generally, I will go around 80km. I can't imagine driving 130km/h! I have a 309D. But maybe I'm just a slow rider 😅
We normally wouldn't drive with 130 km/h either. 🙂 The 309 D, just like the L 407, was made for slower, safe rides.
What is the main differences between this model and the 508D?
The 508 D was born in 1989 to satisfy the needs of professional drivers. It was equipped with a sound-insulated cab, an ergonomically designed driver’s seat and particularly clearly arranged gauges. Panel vans, pickups, tippers and chassis for special bodies were available. It was produced until 1996. The 508 from 1967 to 1986 is just a different version of the Mercedes T2, so the technical can vary. For example you could get a different engine in the 508 than in 407.

Wo bekomme ich die Ersatzteile für meinen 407?? Eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 130km/h und einen Verbrauch von 10L habe ich mit meinem 407 nur in meinen Träumen 😂
