Concerns over high crime rate in Thohoyandou

According to recent statistics by police, the Thohoyandou area ranks amongst the highest in terms of rates of crime in the country.
Thohoyandou police station is one of the top five police stations that have recorded the highest rates of crime such as GBV, carjacking, murder and housebreaking.
Community members in and around Thohoyandou say criminals continue to terrorise their communities, especially around the festive season.
