Hi salamat for watching. It is really rare to get an upgrade at the gate. Getting cheaper business seat at the gate rarely happens only when they have a lot ours seats still not sold.
@@jeztravel I see. Not sure how united status would work on an Ana flight. I hear the MNL-SFO routes are an easy upgrade as many passengers do not have status. Crossing my fingers. We are doing a return leg from Manila.

I am sure you could have asked for a piece of the chocolate cake as well as the fruit salad if you had really wanted it. The service on ANA business class is excellent and the cabin attendants would have been happy to serve you the additional dessert.

How can you afford to fly your family on business class? Do you use points? If so, how long did it take you to build enough?

We own a small business, and most of our expenses go through Amex for points. I utilize Rakuten to maximize points.
